After sushi, we went for some ice cream, in which I get reacquainted with the same thirty or so flavors that are always there. I’d been fantasizing for two years about Gold Medal Ribbon, a flavor I hadn’t had in five years. I wondered: It still good? Way back on my first job, I went nose deep on that flavor at least two nights a week. Couldn’t remember what all it was, but I had a faint idea. It is simple: «Vanilla and Chocolate, swirled with a caramel ribbon.» And so it was. Was it as good as I remember? Almost, but it could use some pecans or walnuts in there. I can be kind of persnickety. #goingfat

After getting an ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins for my dad’s birthday, my family has been hooked on ordering ice cream cakes for everyone’s birthdays! Reminder: order online or over the phone at least 24 hours in advance! You will get to select the design, cake flavor, ice cream flavor, special message, and color of the message. We’ve ordered the vanilla cake with OREO Cookies ‘n Cream and vanilla cake with Pralines ‘n Cream, and both were delicious! The ice cream cakes that feed 6 – 8 are $ 35 – 40. The bigger you go, the more expensive it will be(duh). Individual scoops at the store are a little pricey, so I just go big and get the tubs of ice cream to bring home. 2 quarts of ice cream for $ 10.99… get on it!

We had their snickers sundae while waiting for our food from Gaters next door. It was great but you should probably share to avoid sugar shock. Our server was nice, and generous with samples. He put in a lil too much caramel on our sundae though. They used snickers icecream which seemed to be of higher than average quality but way too much sugar. It was a regular sized cup for $ 6.89 but it was oddly shaped and too slim, so the price was quite high for the quantity. Also the fudge kinda just sits at the bottom; hard to reach even with a long spoon(re: thin cup). While I love icecream I’m not sure if it’s worth $ 6.89. There are nicer and cheaper local ice cream spots. Their 1.31/scoop on the 31st of each month ends this year(2015).

The sweetest guys working this Sunday night. My mom and I came in for a treat expecting nothing more than a great scoop of thin mint ice cream and instead got that and much more. The store was clean out front and behind the counter.

Jamoca almond fudge, my fav…$ 1.31 on 31st of each month, is awesome! I miss those dollar Tuesdays back in college. This place gets busy during holidays, so beware!

Not bad ice cream at all. The location is fine, next to Safeway in Newark, and you don’t have to fight for parking. Baskin Robin’s always seems a little overpriced but it is good ice cream. I especially like the ice cream cookie sandwiches they added.

I scream you scream we all scream for Ice Cream! They are always coming up with new flavors. This place is clean and neat with quick pleasant service. We stopped in after our dinner and had the most marvelous tasting icream in a long time. They also have a huge selection of Ice Cream cakes to make a party truly unique. Our family is back or planning to make many more hot evening visits to this tasty treat for many days to come.

I love them From friendly patient service to the ice-cream flavors. One of my fave is pineapple coconut icecream, they are the only one sells it. This time i got snickerdurn? Was the name not sure but it was so good. Will come back to try other flavors!

One of the better Baskin Robbins in the area. Employees are young, easy going and they’re not stingy with the samples. My favorite ice cream here is their pumpkin cheesecake. It’s seasonal and for a very limited time, which makes me sad because it’s amazingly good! Definitely better ice cream than Cold Stone.

I got here at 10:00pm, which is when they close, fine, and they had locked the door and refused to open it even for a quick to-go cup. I told them my kid is driving me nuts and pleaded but they just smirked and waved their smartphone at me showing that it’s closing time. They were more excited about wrapping up and going home them taking 2 extra minutes to help out a customer. Really lousy service, I’m never going here again. Luckily yogurtland was still open.

Good Ice Cream, but inside needs a good scrub cleaning. and outside chairs eeeeks don’t even try to sit down. They are so dirty. service seems to be getting better. Ice cream is better than Cold Stone.

So I bring my kids in at 9:58 pm and I know it’s bad form but there was nobody in there. The 2 boys said they were closed, bummer to my 4 kids. They seemed uninterested in being there and unfriendly.

Lil ice cream shop located inside a small shopping plaza next to Sprouts and Petco. Their parking lot is small and always busy, so parking can be a pain. I came here today during one of their sales promotions. They had a pretty full range of flavors, the store was clean, and the employee who helped me was nice & courteous. They also have outdoor seating so they are pet-friendly. Hooray: D

There was a time when I thought BR was outdated and that Cold Stone was it. Now I am tired of Cold Stone and BR is still good. I guess you don’t get tired of the classics.

Service here was horrible. The two guys taking our order did not act like they cared about their job. My girlfriend asked for a single scoop of ice cream but then she got one too many. However, when I received my single scoop, I got a baby sized ice cream. Clearly racist. One of the workers only greeted white people and ignored any other race. If you want ice cream that tastes like discrimination, go to Baskin Robbins.

Your basic baskin robins store with all flavors of ice cream there. The maon location we go to because its the closest one to our house. I usually only come into only purchase ice cream cakes for my family’s birthdays. However when I came in a few days ago they stasted charging for writing on cakes. Must be a new thing or they sent msking enough money. And what was up with all the plain cakes? No ice cream flavors I liked. Where’s parlines & cream & the mint chocolate chip ice cream cakes at? I give one extra star for the workers good customer service.

It’s a chain store. What more can I say. Lots. Of course :) I really enjoyed getting my ice cream here! Aside from the prices(which can’t be helped), the overall ice cream trip was enjoyable. The two young male servers(who were both kind of cute HAHA) were accommodating and patient as I walked back and forth in front of the display 10 times to pick 4 flavors, 2 for each cone. I ended up selecting the mint chocolate chip with the raspberry cheese Louise, and the peach cobbler with the gold medal ribbon. The cheese Louise was like a cheesecake, which is my favorite dessert mmm. I regretted choosing the mint chocolate chip because it’s such an ordinary flavor. Woe are hasty decisions :(The peach cobbler was good as a standalone flavor but didn’t mesh well with the creamy gold medal ribbon. I rarely go to ice cream stores unless they’re iconic(and who doesn’t love downing a whole gallon of grocery store ice cream!?), but I enjoyed the splurge all the same :)
