Established in 2006.

Kat has created custom creations for Google, Motorola, SF Giants, Warriors, San Francisco Symphony, and State Farm Insurance. Bay Area Balloon Twister Kat Chan started ballon twisting since 2003. She has entertained at hundreds of events and shows with her unique blend of balloon twisting and life size custom balloon creations. As her source of inspiration Kat loves drawing and crafts, As a child, Kat enjoyed watching magic specials on television (Lance Burton and Penn and Teller). Along with her brother teaching her the basics of juggling, the seed for greatness was planted. As Kat says, «I tricked into it.»

Kat came to my son’s 6th birthday party. At first I was a bit worried that the kids wouldn’t be engaged enough but she was OUTSTANDING from start to finish! From the moment she came in and realized some of the kids were in to Pokemon, she had her phone near by to look up and make (on the fly) any Pokemon characters they asked for. Kids and parents alike were extremely impressed! The process of booking, speed and efficiency and ability to engage all ages were ideal for a last-​minute party and I would absolutely use her again and recommend to anyone!

Kat is awesome! We hired her balloon twisting services for my son’s 1st birthday. Booking was easy and communication prior to the party was efficient and friendly. Her balloon twisting skills are better than any of the other balloon twisting artists that I have seen lately at other children’s events. She made everything that any child requested: Ariel, Mickey Mouse, cars, swords, bow and arrows, Nemo, Toothless, and so much more! Even the adults were asking her to make stuff for them. She works quickly and was very personable throughout her session. Everyone with kids at the party requested her contact information. We would definitely use her services again. Thank you Kat!

I work for a studio subsidiary of PlayStation and we hired Kat to craft some awesome balloon weaponry and characters for a game we were releasing at a fan convention (PlayStation Experience 2015). Her balloon creations were easily one of the most sought after items not only from our game’s booth, but probably the entire show. I would definitely recommend hiring her for your event, and she’s great to work with.

We went to my daughters friends birthday party where they had Collin make balloon animals and I was pretty impressed that he could do more than the typical– rose, sword, dog & crown. I definitely will be using this company for my children’s birthday in the future! Collin was also really good with the x amount of 5 year olds he had to make balloons for. Like I said, I was impressed and will be using this company in the future!

Kat just joined our 5 year old’s Ninja Turtle birthday party. She was incredible. From Elmo to Thomas the train for the little siblings to Ninja Turtles, Elsa, Ariel from the Little Mermaid (even with a balloon bathing suit top), I’m not sure there was a balloon design she said she couldn’t do. She does it all and worked non-​stop throughout the party with a line of kids the entire time. Finally, I thought both Dan and Kat were extremely responsive in advance, took the time to answer all of our questions for the day of, and confirmed logistics the day before the party directly with us.

Kat’s artistic pieces are eye-​catching and fantastic decorations for a party! At my birthday party, she punctually arrived at my house with all her balloon-​making equipment and the following balloon masterpieces that she made the night before: 1 and a 5 to signify my new age, a cute monkey, as well as a beautiful toucan to put on a chandelier as if it was on flight. She was well-​prepared and had plentiful amount of supplies to make my dream party come true. Not only did she make the balloons mentioned, she also made an 8-​ft Palm tree on the spot! My birthday party theme was: Summer Beach. While she was pumping the balloons away, Kat was outgoing and easy-​to-​talk-​to. She was saying how she loves her job and enjoys what she was doing. She was so kind that she snuck in a balloon minion in the tree! :D She quickly finished up the tree, leaving my living room looking like paradise :) My mom asked Kat to come as a surprise for my party, and as I recall, I was EXHILARATED! The guests were all impressed, and my dad was speechless when he spotted a tree growing in the living room! I definitely recommend Kat to create spectacular decorations for any party of yours!

Just wrapped up my son’s first birthday party and she was a huge hit. Everyone was blown away with what she created. At first you saw all the kids asking for the same things but after some kids starting getting new things it created such an excitement on what different things they could get. Entertained all the kids for the whole time she was there. Make sure you book enough time to allow Kat to make the more intricate items for all the kids is my advice, we did 2 hours and was amazed what I saw. Will be using them again for follow up birthdays.

Messaged the business asking what rates and about booking for an event. No one replied until 4 days after my initial email and all it said was to contact someone else. no other details, couldn’t answer ONE question. So I call the other person that deals with all the bookings. He seemed rushed on the phone when I was asking questions and didn’t mention he was in a meeting until about 5 mins in. Asked if he could give me a call back later in the evening, which I said was fine. NEVER CALLED ME BACK. It has been almost a week and still no follow up. Not great practices for running a business.

We hired Kat to come to our four-​year-​old daughter’s Frozen-​themed birthday party. My silly little girl didn’t think big enough when she asked Kat to make her a blue flower (Kat will make a special balloon creation for the birthday girl or boy). I half jokingly asked for ‘Mario Kart’ and Kat made me Mario driving a go-​kart. I was completely floored — I couldn’t believe how good it looked. I snuck in a request for Yoshi before she left.
Kat was great with the kids; a lot of them ignored the bouncy house out front in order to watch her work her magic. Over the course of the two hours we saw several Elsa’s, a monkey in a palm tree, a World of Warcraft character (for one of the day care teachers), a very expensive high heel (for one of the other daycare teachers), and more. She was super-​friendly and squeezed every last bit of balloon-​twisting time before heading out.
My Mario Kart balloon is a bit small now, but still holding up pretty well.

My wife and I hired Kat for our daughter’s 3rd Birthday. We wanted to make it a special occasion so needed THE BEST in the industry. Please recognize that Kat is a true Balloon Artist. Please also note there is a huge difference between a «balloon twister» and «balloon artist.»
Kat was on time and wonderful keeping the eager kids at bay. As described in the other reviews, Kat has an unmatchable talent with Balloon Art. She cares about the quality of her art and at the same time, flies through them in with lightning speed! Originally, the purpose of hiring her was for the kiddos, it turned out that the adults enjoyed her work EVEN MORE! I’d recommend if you are going to book Kat, add an extra 30 mins to hour for the booking so everyone can enjoy!

I give Kat a five star because we are pleased with her art work in balloon twisting. I was just looking for a regular Mario & Luigi balloon, have called everywhere but no store seemed to have it, And I’ll have to order it online. So I kept on searching on Unilocal because I really wanted to surprise the twins on their birthday which is the day of so I was really running out of time. Then I came across Kats page I knew I couldn’t let it past, just seeing her balloon twisting photos just amazes me, she was able to get it done for me in no time. I am so thankful I found them on Unilocal really made my nephews day, they went crazy over the Mario & Luigi Balloons.
I would definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for a balloon twisting artist for any occasion or event because she will make everyone go WOW! Make kids happy with their favorite balloon characters.

Just at my sister in law’s baby shower and Kat totally WOW’D the crowd! She is sooooo talented and made the adults want a balloon too! she made a variety of balloons for the kids from Spider-​Man to a monkey riding a bike! Amazing! Kat helped celebrate my son’s birthday at his school, and she was a huge hit with all of the kids, from toddlers to pre-​teens. In one short hour, she cranked out balloon sculptures at the kids’ requests — everything from flowers to swords to penguins and a multitude of Ariel the mermaids — and that was just a tiny fraction of her repertoire. She was incredibly patient with the throngs of small people, and she made an extra special balloon for the birthday boy — a really great looking Lightning McQueen.
My son is still talking about the amazing Kat the Acrobat — I would happily recommend her services to anyone looking for a really cool way to entertain and impress guests, both big and small.

Kat can make any shape out of balloons. We had a corporate event and Kat was able to make our company logo out of balloons. It blew everyone away. She was such a hit that we asked her to stay for an extra hour. I highly recommend her balloon twisting for any event.

Just had her do my kids’ party last week. My guest just kept telling me how good she was and the ballons she did were incredible. She was great with the kids, easy to work with and even though she came late (because the park can be very hard to find) she offered to do a little extra. I highly recommend her for your kids. They won’t be disappointed.

I’ve seen plenty of balloon twisting but Kat’s is by far the best I have seen. She’s very creative and makes very elaborate and detailed balloon objects. For us she made a teenage mutant ninja turtle, princesses, a fishing rod with a fish attached, a table centerpiece of a monkey climbing up a tree, a balloon «ring» consisting of a balloon «rose» within another clear ballon, and even a very detailed balloon birthday cake.
Would definitely have her again — if you can also get her husband, Dan Chan, you would get a very impressive magic/​acrobatic show in addition.
