Had a great experience with Wayne with no BS and sales pitch. I came in to the lot with an «internet price» and he was able to beat that. I inspected my vehicle of choice and there were no clear issues. Carfax showed no accidents and clean title. Test-​drove the vehicle and it was a smooth experience. I bought the vehicle on Saturday and as of right now (Mon ¹²⁄₇) there has been no issues. I was in and out of the lot in about an hour with no stress at all. I’ll update this review if something comes up. I definitely recommend working with Wayne if you want a hassle-​free experience.

Looking for a car for myself I found one under 55k miles for under 8k. It seemed like a really good deal. Looked at the pics and it seemed in very good condition, but in person the car had scratches dents and cracks. One compartment inside didn’t open, the inside was dirty and smelled like smoke. Going to Target down the road to get some Febreeze was too much of a hassle i guess. They also forgot to mention that the previous owner drove into something and cracked the grill of the car which wasn’t in the pictures or described in the car post. If i knew about this beforehand i wouldn’t have wasted my time coming. The salesmen Danny who was helping me kept on bringing up the low miles on the car and that it is listed as a clean title. Too many red flags. Didn’t even bother for a test drive.

People like this are why I don’t trust car salesmen car listed online for 4000 get there sticker price is 6000 dent in the door and windows don’t work and won’t start and he has the nerve to tell me if I fix myself he will sell to me for 4000 now the coldest part of all I show him the blue book value for the same car in excellent condition is 2000 and he had the nerve to say that some times the bluebook is wrong I just got up and left

After several months of owning the car, the transmission failed and the interior roof began to come apart. The owner assured us he would help us through these issues but nothing came of it after much discussion and follow up. During this time, we also found out the car had been in an accident which was not disclosed. In fact, a ‘false’ car report was presented to us saying that it was accident free. When we communicated this information out to the owner we were told we were indeed shown a car report that showed the car we purchased was in an accident and that we had signed the document. We asked for a copy at which point we learned my boyfriend’s signature had been forged. We notified the owner of this and explained how we are going to pursue the matter to the full course the law would allow. He agreed to take back the car. We dropped it off and received a full refund for the purchase. We are incredibly thankful for the refund, but believe this is a business that cannot be trusted.

I have know Auto 4 Less and the owner David since 2002. Now that is a long time. Since then he has helped me with my hobby aka buying 2 cars at a minimum each year. The car sales price ranged from $ 3000 — $ 45 000. I met him at a coffee shop at first. He earned my trust over the time. There is not one strange thing, or single guide line of ethics, morality he bends. He is passionate about helping his customers (I introduced him to my family and friends) who also purchased cars from him. He has integrity, manners and stewardship.
His prices were fair, he would tell you what car to get or to steer away from. He provided full disclosure of the cars he knew, he got in touch with me when you found a car I wanted. When his business grew, I his business ethics or practices did not change. He employs people who are hard working, those who really need help and try to put food in families plates.
He used to provide financing and warranty at a reasonable price. Advised me to stay clear of insurance companies both car and warranty insurance as he knew them personally and had customers who had bad experience with them.
To this day aka 13 years later, I still talk to him and purchase cars from him, simply bc I know he is honest and has no ulterior motives aka make a quick sale.

These guys really hooked me up! I could not have been anymore happier with my purchase than I already am! I really needed a car and they gave me a reliable car for a really good price! Im glad I came across this place and Im sure you will be too. Great customer service, great cars, and great deals!

David Lin was honest with us when we bought the 2001 Beetle. He gave us a good deal and was true to his word. He was a breath of fresh air after being lied to by RMS auto dealer next door. TALK TO DAIVID HE WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU.

I had been looking for a used car and had been out all day. This was my last stop. The lot was small, but the car I wanted to look at was the cleanest I had seen all day.
I ended up purchasing it but the car had issues for which I had to return it. Daniel was professional and friendly and gave me my money back. He did all he could to rectify the sale and tried fixing the car.
I cancelled the sale because the car was bad. I believe Daniel was honest in his dealings with me and that is the reason for my 4 star rating. I did not rank it 5 stars, because the car ended up having issues, but I do not blame Daniel for that.

2 stars because my car lasted longer than I expected but the pricing is as steep as it gets my toyota matix 2003 was bought at 1000+ dollars over blue book value. I was caught off guard by all the miscelleneous fees and the tax fees. I also did some major maintenance on my cars the past 2 years… and yeah my car stereo was not working and they cut corners to fix it… I just found out that my cousin bought a 2008 matrix for about the same price .It pays to do your research and I was too naïve to trust David… lesson learned!!!

My girlfriend bought a new Acura, so I am helping her to sell her old 2004 Mazda 3.
The Acura dealership offered 3000 for trade in, so we decided to go somewhere else. I found this place on newspaper, and gave them a call. The same afternoon we came here. After a test drive with the owner Mr Lin, he offered us 4000. Well of course there was some negotiation, but 5 minutes later we agreed on 4600. We finished the paperwork and left with the cash happily.
I went home and looked at the reviews at this place. OMG… I hope this place will get more stars as time goes on.

. David is a seasoned car dealer, very accommodating, fair, and proficient. Has some gems in his lot. I would recommend people to visit his lot. Purchased an SUV from him in great condition — excellent service and value.
Always do your hw, get an inspection, and exercise best judgment when it comes to used vehicles.

my niece needed a college car and we call Daniel at Beyond Auto since we had a great experience there last year. Sadly Daniel said they closed up shop and recommended me to this place and said he’ll call David telling him to take good care of me. Before heading to there I checked their Unilocal and did see a lot of complaints so I know what to look for.
We got there and David wasn’t gonna be back for another ½ hour, but his salesperson helped us narrow down a few cars within my niece’s budget, mostly Toyota and Honda, we test drove two Civics, one regular gas and one hybrid, then David came back and recommended us a Corolla that he just bought from Fremont Toyota through an auto auction, slightly more miles but he said Hybrid can have battery problems later, and it uses timing chain so no need for timing belt replacement later, he seems genuine and pretty honest about his cars.
My mechanic was out of town so we took it to a local mechanic shop to look at, and since it was a prior to purchase inspection and we’re paying them a good $ 95 for it, they didn’t throw us a bunch of crap trying to get our money to fix it, the car had a few minor issues, all reasonable on a 7 year old car with 80 thousand miles, front and rear bumpers were repainted recently, but no damage on the inside, seems legit since they’re a car dealer to get scratches out of sight when selling cars, AC wasn’t very cold, but it was on a day with temperature in the 90s, and the battery was the original battery came with the car. After agreeing on a very fair price, David immediately called his mechanic who came within 20 minutes, the mechanic charged the AC freeon and put a new battery in all within the time we got paperwork done. Excellent service!
Out of the few cars I looked at, each one does have one or two minor things, like minor scratches on the doors and rock chips on the front hood, one seems to have a worn engine mount which is reasonable on an older car, and whoever does the car wash for David seems to missed a couple things but it would not be the reason not to buy the car and write a bad review about. I normally doesn’t go out of the way to defend business owners but it seems like most of the people who wrote the bad reviews are kinda crazy and unrealistic comes to car buying. I READ EVERY SINGLE REVIEW prior to my arrival, and it seems people have expectation of a new car when they’re in fact looking at an used cars. I honestly don’t know how people write bad review because of a bad vibe from David or him not willing to fill up a full tank of gas. I asked about the source of the cars they get, and they’re the same as Beyond Auto, most of their cars are from auction, I later asked my mechanic (who works at the auction) and he said that there is nothing negative about cars being sold at auction, it’s simply a market place for the dealers to get their hands on cars, some are lease returns and rentals cars, franchise dealer sell most of their trade ins because «Fremont Toyota» isn’t gonna sell a 80K+ miles car because they can’t list it as «certified pre owned».
The whole buying process we were treated fairly and with respect from both David and his salesperson, David does have a little bit of accent, his English isn’t all that great which it seems to getting a lot of hatred from Unilocal reviewers.
He gets a recommendation from me and any further car buying I will definitely go to him first.

I worked with David L and I purchased from him a 2004 Honda Civic HB with good low miles, well, I wanted to get a Honda with good miles and he had a good car as well. We negotiated the price got a decent price agreement. Even though I went slightly high from what I wanted to pay for the car, the car definitely is in good condition.
David and his pro salesman (this guy is young forgot his name) helped me get the registration done from their office itself and they were really willing to help the customer.
Its been a month that I got the civic hybrid and used it for more than a month now and I am happy with the purchase.
He also helped me get waxing done and helped me reduce the scratches.
Thank god I didn’t read the reviews before until David mentioned it to me, Of course he made some mistakes and he and his team is learning. Who does not make mistakes? Every one does.
But the guy (with glasses) who offers to deliver the car home for few extra dollars are unprofessional acts, any way I didn’t choose to get it delivered. Simply because customers have just bought a car paying a lot of money, and that should be a free service.
I have no regrets with my purchase and I received my title recently as well. If you read these reviews and go to him you are bound to find every minute thing a major. We are naturally programmed to magnify negativity and your mind over reacts.

I purchased a Toyota Matrix from these guys roughly 3 years ago. Found the car online at the price point I wanted and travelled all the way to Fremont from Santa Cruz to check it out. The car was overall in good condition as advertised online– with the exception of having about 15,000 miles more than listed, as well as a higher price tag then what was advertised. After some strange explanation attempting to justify the errors with the price and mileage listing– I tried my hardest to bargain down the price. There was an odd phone conversation, made right in front of me, from my salesman to the owner I believe. My salesman was seemingly pleading with the owner to lower the price tag… It all seemed a little off. There was also this strange dilemma involving the car not having a battery, then the car had a battery that didn’t work– then all of a sudden the car had a perfect battery… The whole situation made me feel a little skeptical about purchasing the car– but the salesman came down to a pricetag i felt good about– and so I went for it and bought the car.
Suffice to say 3 years later I haven’t had any problems with the car and am happily making my daily commute in it. The whole car salesman thing just had me a little off put-​but I guess that is the business.

I am giving Mr. Lin 3 stars today. We did actually buy a car from him, because it was what we were looking for. We traded in a car that he gave us fair value for, but he would not work on the price of the car we bought. It was listed at 12,300 online, but he insisted he raised the price to 12,500 before we got there…
He talks a bit fast and would say one thing, but the paper work says another. He gave us 300 cash back! But he also said the sale price was 12,000, though it says 12,300 on the paper work… So cash back or not, we are still paying that other 300 back at some point… Would I recommend this lot to anyone else? Yes, but only if you know you are going there for a specific car you can not find else where. We got exactly what we were looking for, with a competitive price, and low miles. He did not have a car fax ready for this car probably because it says «open recall» when he printed it he promptly had us sign it. The rear bumper of our car need to be repainted at some point, which we are not worried about, but it would have been nice if he tried to make the paper work looks like the deal he had talked about.
Over all they are sales people, and will try and sell you any used car on the lot even if it is junk. They do have some decent cars, but their prices are high, and I know they can work better deal than they claim.
I can not see giving him a shit review if you did not buy a car from him, and after dealing with him I will not give him 5 stars. I am satisfied with how things went, and the car seems to be in over all good shape, minus the pep boy exhaust tip having been welded on, and rear bumper scratches.
We are not complaining, seeing our car was in worse shape with double the miles as the one we left with. The price for the car we bought was better than Carmax for the miles of the car.
Thank you again Mr. Lin. I hope you can figure out what you need to do to properly turn your Unilocal score around. After looking at all my paperwork though and having spoke with you the entire time of trying to buy the car I think it should be easy to realize what you need to work on.
Do not say one thing and put in paperwork another, this is the biggest thing keeping me from a 5 star review.
Though if problems do arise with the car, I will gladly update this review to my new opinion.

David was very helpful and professional. I am so happy that I found a great car with no problems. He provided me with the Carfax, a great deal on the warranty, and the perfect car (convertible Nissan 350z)
Overall this place has a good selection of cars with low miles. The customer service David has provided was very honest. This isn’t one of those shady used car dealerships.

This place doesn’t rate any stars with me. They are Hustlers and only concerned with selling their Auctioned cars way above what they are worth. I went there to buy a Toyota but they were trying to sell this Honda instead that had 7 owners in 8 years. I wanted to see how far they would take it and I was astonished to see Eddie will say Anything to get the sale. They are dishonest and very disrespectful. We came back the next day as a surprise and then David was there to try the same Hustle only this time. He was texting Eddie. And his whole conversation on how to hustle came on my phone. Lol. How stupid were they… So if they get on the phone texting while trying to sell u a car they are up to no good. If possible I will post the texted hustle convo from Eddie to David. Scandalous!!! They even try to hustle for gas in the tank. Run away or you will b disappointed and ripped off!!!

All the cars I saw was POORLY maintained.
Heck, they don’t even shampoo the rugs on many of the cars I saw.
Looking at the Carfax for the car I wanted, they bought this at an action… likely turning around with little or no maintenance to make it sell

The car I was interested had ripped seats, all the center console had cracks and didn’t even close shut. Very poor condition not event posted in CraigsList.
If someone isn’t honest about their posts, do you trust their word after just to close a deal?

I knew I’d be coming home with a truck the morning we began the search. We started in Fremont and decided to work our way towards the dealerships on San Carlos in San Jose. Unfortunately, this is the place that began our day. As soon as I walked up I was disturbed because the sales guy started talking about my jeans.
«Are those designer jeans?»
«Umm, no. I think they’re American Eagle.»
«Oh, those are really nice. They look expensive.»
«Umm, ok.»
We found a 2002 Toyota Tacoma that seemed ok and the dealer was making all the expected noises about what a great vehicle it was. Thankfully, there was only one person on the lot so we were able to do the test drive without a creepy passenger. It took less than two minutes to decide the truck wasn’t worth anywhere near the $ 10,0000 they were asking. The engine made a high pitched squeal beginning at 30 MPH, not a good sign.
As soon as we got back the guy started in about my jeans again.
«Those are really great jeans.» (as soon as I hop out of the truck)
«I’m fairly certain American Eagle makes guys jeans too.»
«But I like yours.»
«Then get a women’s pair. Ok, I’m not interested in the truck, have a good day.»
As we were leaving he shouted behind us…“Those ARE great jeans.”
