Established in 1980.

We are a Family owned and operated business. Initially we began servicing the Fremont, Hayward, Castro Valley, and surrounding areas. With recent expansion in 2012, we now service all of Alameda, Santa Clara, and San Mateo Counties, as well as the «Tri-​Valley» area of Contra Costa County.

I’ve been involved in the carpet cleaning/​maintenance industry for over 20 years. I began in 1992 by managing a branch of another cleaning company, learning what works. In 1995, I decided to open my own business which is now known as Advanced Cleaning Systems (ACS).

My scientific and analytical background has allowed me to become a Master Technician, providing truly superior carpet and upholstery cleaning as well as establish the cleaning and business systems used within ACS.

I saw a need to offer both Low Moisture (for maintenance/quick-dry)cleaning as well as proper Truck Mounted Steam cleaning. Enhancements allow for aggressive deep cleaning, without fiber abrasion, and with lower dry times. The results surpass traditional steam cleaning.

Although I set up these Cleaning Systems, it is my son, Sam, a Certified Technician as well, who manages field operations. We strongly believe it is the tech that makes the excellence. We can train the competency, but we hire the passion.

This review is long overdue. I used Advanced Cleaning Systems in March (2015) to clean very stained carpet that been cleaned 4 times in 14 months (twice professionally, twice my yours truly) due to pet stains that were not noticeable when we signed on the dotted line. They were prompt, and upon looking at the carpet warned me that the oils from dog urine (yes, I know for sure it was a small dog to blame– giveaway was the chew toy I found under the stove) had soaked thru to the padding — stains would most likely return. They eventually did, however, it took months longer than before! It has now been 8 months and is time to clean again, I will be giving them a call.

My carpet was old when we rented our place ten years ago and with pets and kids and many gatherings, it was atrocious!
Sam gave me a great deal and cleaned it right up. I’ve been steam cleaning my own carpet for so long and it’s NEVER been this clean! Spots that I’ve been fighting for years came right out. He was fast, efficient and super professional.
I’ll definitely use ACS again.

Just to clarify: We were not satisfied by the service provided by Advanced Cleaning. This company inconvenienced us. Seeing that we had prepped for cleaning, they attempted an obvious «bait & switch» when they arrived that would cost us nearly $ 200 more. This is a company that, by its own admission, (see the reply to my first post) charges $ 79 for 3 rooms and $ 33 for any added rooms — all for a «substandard» job! The only job they «guarantee» costs a lot more. We’re just glad we found a good alternative.

Amaaaaaazing job! We have 2 young children and our carpets were horrible! Gary checked things out and suggested a deeper clean with a different type of brush, yes we paid a little more but it was so worth it! They were on time, extremely affordable, great customer service, and got our carpets looking like new!

I called on a Thursday and needed my carpets cleaned asap. Gary was very professional and friendly and came in with Sam on Saturday. They sent me a confirmation email the day before with all the details. On the day of, Gary called to let me know they were on their way and was on time. They did an amazing job and charged me less that quoted after inspecting the areas. I was very pleased with their service and would highly recommend them.

Gary was a pleasure to deal with and they were so accommodating when I had a last minute request for additional work for them to do. The job was quick, thorough and Gary had good, constructive advice that showed he has been in the business a long time. I would most certainly recommend ACS to anyone who needs to get their carpets cleaned. They were very professional and on time and got the work done very quickly.

Worst experience ever. The old guy (i think his his name Gary) is rude and acted like an idiot. I called these guys couple of years back, came, fought with me for more money on the amazon local voucher and did a not so great job. He could not get some stains off. I didn’t know that I am calling this guy again. Tough luck. This time he came almost one hour late, as usually asked for more money, started blaming me for not being happy with his service and left without doing the job, He refused to do the service even after I told him that I will give the extra money he asked. He argued with me and said the FXXX word while leaving. He is a total jerk.
Imagine how much trouble I went through clearing the furniture etc in the house for this guy and he ditched me and left with out completing the work. Highly unprofessional.
Beware of this guy.
I will give 0 or less stars if possible.

Gary and Sam did a great job on our carpets, soft and a chair. I was impressed with how they kept in contact, their punctuality, and heavy duty machinery. We have our own Hoover carpet shampooer, but the effects never last that long. Old stains reappear in a couple of weeks. It has been 3 – 4 weeks since Advanced Cleaning was here and the carpets and furniture still look great. Gary emphasized that we should call them if any old stains pop up. If so, I will call them. So far, so good.

I like the email confirmation the day before the cleaning, lets you know they will not leave you hanging. Sure enough, the scheduled day of cleaning at the exact time promised, Gary and Sam roll up to my house and get the job done in about 45 minutes.

I scheduled an appointment last month and was able to get a next day service. Gary and his partner Sam were awesome. They ran a little late due to their other job but sometimes that’s out of anyone’s control.
Upon arrival they inspected the areas needed to be cleaned and got right to work. Gary and Sam even helped me clear out another room to get it cleaned as well. Top notch customer service.
We already have another appointment for them to swing by and snatch up our Persians for a pro cleaning. I highly recommend their business.
I felt the price was reasonable and will use again for future carpet cleaning.

I have 3 dogs, and a baby. So having clean carpet is very important to me. I have rented those bulky grocery store carpet cleaners in the past but was never really satisfied. I was referred to Advanced Cleaning Systems by my brother and was really impressed with the quality if service I received and how much better my carpets looked after they were done with them. They worked their butts off! I even had them clean my couches and now they’re like new again! I Highly recommend this company and will be using them exclusively for as long as I own carpets!
