A Perfect Day Spa

I have been to this place several times. I had great service and a relaxing message every time. I tried to go in yesterday. My whole image of this place changed because of the RUDE lady at the front desk. The last time I was there, I only purchased an hour. As I was leaving, the girl that did my massage was waiting for her tip. (which they demand between $ 8-​$ 12. I’m sorry, I tip based on service) The girl walked me towards the front and stopped by some shutter doors. She took her tip from me and said I could get my next massage for a discounted rate, but I had to pay that day. I don’t remember the price she gave me. I agreed. She went behind the desk and brought me back a gift card. I tried to use the card yesterday. The girl at the desk said it was no good. I said it should have an hour on it. She tried to say I used both hours. One on in 2013 and one in September of 2015. How is that possible? I just got the card at my last visit. She said, I didn’t write your name on this card. That’s not my writing. Well, it’s not mine either. The girl that gave it to me wrote my name. She said she remembered me and I was there about the same time the last visit. I told her that wasn’t possible because I use to get off at 3:30. I come straight from work, since it’s down the street. As of April I started getting off at 2:00. She continued to argue about what time I was there. What did that matter? How can she remember me from September? Again what does that matter. I told her, again, there should be one hour on that card. I paid for it. She said, well we have cameras and saved records of where this card came from. She said she would send an email to her boss about the situation. Me, upset and not thinking, said whatever and walked out. After I calmed down, I realized she was accusing me of stealing the card. Instead of accusing your customers, you should put your cameras on the ones doing the massages. Obviously, the girl that did my massage, not only got my $ 10 tip she also got extra for what she charged me for a card that was no good. I never received a response from her boss. Fake email, fake card. Very shady place. No wonder they have a posted sign that states their employees should never ask for more than what is stated the tip should be. If they do, they supply an 800 number. REALLY???

One of the largest massage places I have been to. Logistics-​wise this place is great. They have a well trained front desk staffed. When you arrive they get you checked in, ask you if you have an account, offer you water, and have you seated.
There is plenty of seating and parking outside.
The back office is ok. Chipped wall paint. Water fountain. Lots of little rooms and couches here and there. It wasn’t very fung shui but my therapist was very friendly and always asked if my foot massage was ok.
I walked away feeling better in my ankle.

My brother-​in-​law and sister-​in-​law gifted me a massage from APDS for my birthday. I drive by here everyday but never once been inside until the day we booked our appointment. I say «we» because the hubby wanted to get a massage with me. LOL!!! We tried to do a walk in, but ended up booking massages for the following day, New Year’s Day. Great way to start the New Year!
They put us in a couples room even though we did not insist that it was mandatory. I got a lady named Linda. I liked that they asked at the front desk what kind of pressure we wanted. I wanted soft. The hubby opted for medium. We were both very pleased with our massages, time length and pressure. Like other Unilocalers, we were coerced into purchasing a massage package by Heidi at the front desk. My hubby ended buying a 3 massage package and used the first one at this visit (since I had a gift card) which means we can schedule another couples massage next month! Excited to return.

After years of coming to this specific location, I am still pleased to come back. The masseuses know what they’re doing! and I definitely have favorites that I request when I make my appointments. The only nuisance is the pressure of buying more hours (before AND after your massage) because you’re running ‘low’ on your hours. I could have 10 hours left! and the front desk lady (which always seems to be the same person) will still continuously harass you to buy more hours. That there’s a ‘special limited time offer right now that you can’t get tomorrow!’ which is what she tells me EVERY TIME. You have to tell her «no» about 3 or 4 times before she stops. Otherwise, great experience!

Good spot if you’re looking for affordable, easy scheduling, muscle therapy after a hard workout. As far as the environment, I would say its more of a chiropractors office that is spa theme. Don’t expect a sauna or special oils.
Despite the various selections of massage styles, the masseuses here only know one thing: traditional Asian Acupressure therapy regardless of what you select. That’s because they are not CMT and have very limited English so they cannot read your body’s knots or your comfort during the session. In fact, if you want Deep Tissue, just pick Swedish and you’ll still get the deep muscle therapy regardless but for cheaper because they only do Acupressure anyway.

Do not expect much from this spa. Like everyone else is mentioning, A Perfect Day Spa is no where near perfect, but they are perfectly capable of getting you in and out.
Scheduling the appointment (via phone) was super easy as they had a lot of time slots available. They were also accommodating when I called back to change the appointment time. Customer service when checking in at the front desk was so so. I ended up waiting in line to check in and waited another ~15 minutes after my scheduled appointment time.
I had a great massage here and would probably be back if I had a deal. Katie was a great masseuse and applied the right amount of pressure. Always made sure I was comfortable!

This is a good place to get a quick massage for feet or body. It’s not a glamorous high end place, but rather for those who have those aching kinks in your shoulders, lower back, and tired feet, and need a therapeutic pressure point massage. This is the place! Don’t expect to be offered a robe or slippers or be able to enjoy a sauna, hot room, or shower. You check-​in and check-​out. No fluff. Give it a try.

Do not think you will relax !
You will be HARASSED by Heidi (?) at the front desk when checking in– worse than a used car sales because you cannot leave as you need to wait for your massage therapist. I AGREE that she makes it not worth returning to do business. Terrible treatment of customers! You are not allowed to politely say, «no thank you». I had to say «NO» FIVE TIMES and she finally stopped pressuring me after I told her I had cancer surgery and would not be able to get massages for a long time and that’s IF I live. I’m serious… this was my reality when attempting to have my last attempt to relax before going in for cancer surgery and lymph node surgery.
SHAME ON THIS BUSINESS practice and how it upsets the very customers who are coming to relax… are you kidding me?!
FIVE times I had to say no before divulging something very painful just to get her to stop.
I sat shaking and crying as I waited for my massage. I was going to walk out but didn’t want her horrible behavior to take something I looked forward to for weeks… especially since I didn’t know if it would be my last.
I have not been back for months even though my scar is mostly healed. I still have credits on my account but I truly cannot think about the stress of going back :(

I came here a few times and don’t understand why my parents still come here so I’m working on getting them to try better places. I love the ambience but that’s about it. I have left out bruised a few times and front desk is not so welcoming nor helpful. Not worth the price and I’m glad I haven’t invested anymore into it.

Came here with my aunt, uncle, and mom and booked a reservation for 1 hour foot followed by 1 hour full body.
The foot setup they have by the koi pond/​waterfall is actually quite comfy and they do a good job. Well worth it!
The full body was just eh for me but my mom and aunt had a good experience so it really depends on who you get. And if you don’t speak Mandarin it might be tough to communicate with several of the staff here.
Overall hit or miss but with the reasonable pricing I would still be back.

I had a gift certificate to here and my brother raves about this place so I was excited to go. He did mention to see someone else but I had just dropped in (which is a plus that they could squeeze me in) so went with someone different. The minuses?
I specifically asked to focus on my lower back and she hardly touched it! I also had a couples massage and they were speaking in another language to each other for about 5 minutes… Not cool. The masseuse massaging my husband was being pushy to get him to stay for more time. And when I went to leave a tip at the front desk, the masseuses awkwardly hovered over me while I paid! #awkward

I’ve been here 3 times, and I see Annie. She is excellent! I have not been feeling well due to a life changing event, and I am now much better overall, thanks to her! Annie is strong and always checks to see if the pressure is fine. I like that she doesn’t talk much at all so I can relax. It’s not Burke Williams but that’s ok. If I wanted Burke Williams, then I would go to Burke Williams. The facility is clean and everyone is friendly. I don’t think they should have a TV in the waiting room, but that’s just my opinion. I’m happy that this place is close to home.

I’ve been coming here for a few years now and I’ve always had a good experience. I always go for the hour foot massages. They soak your feet in hot water before the massage and they also do a short back massage at the end. You can also buy in packages so that you get a better price. They keep track of it in their system and it doesn’t expire. The place is really big and they do all sorts of massages. The place is always clean and everyone is nice.

Walk in with no appointment several times and couldn’t get in. And the company’s phone greeting is weird. Suck!

I only went there because I have a gift certificate. And I am never going back. The whole experience from the place, to the check-​in, to the masseuse, to the technic, to the muscle aches that I am still having the morning after is not a good one. I asked for medium pressure and I told the guy during the massage that the pressure was a little intense, and now I have muscle aches. I won’t recommend this place to anyone.

Vincent is my go to man when I need to get all the knots worked out on my neck and shoulders. And he does great foot massage too. Guess my transition from the peninsula to Fremont is complete now that I haven’t gone back to their Milbrae location for so long. Why drive nearly one hour to cross the bay just for back massage when I can just get the same good service here literally five minutes away from home?

My husband and I have gone for massages to this place for the last few years now.
But sadly the quality of massages and the spa-​relaxing feel is missing.
I was massaged by Eva and my husband was with Linda.
From the minute they got in the room Eva wouldn’t stop talking to Linda– it got so bad that my husband had to tell her to stop!
The massage–
Very mediocre– missing the technique, sloppy and redundant strokes.
She massaged my left leg for 8 mins and my right for not even 1 min!
No massage on the ankles/​feet area either.
Extremely disappointed!

I’ve been coming here for over 5 years so I figured I’d update my review. I am still happy with the service here. I’ve had Swedish and deep tissue massages with lots of different masseuses, both male and female. They are always friendly and accommodating. Yes, it helps to speak Chinese, but you really only need to say a few things in English, like what area you want them to focus on and, «more/​less pressure.» I’ve only had 1 or 2 massages that I didn’t like. You should try out different masseuses to find one that you like. Don’t ask me who my favorites are, because I’m not sharing them! Hahaha: D
The only thing I’ve never done here is the foot massage. The area looks comfy and the people getting foot massages look like they are enjoying them, but I figure, if I’m gonna get a massage, why not get my whole body massaged instead of just my feet? :)
Don’t expect a bunch of fancy amenities when you come here. They have simple rooms with massage tables in each room. It’s perfect for busy people who don’t want all the fuss and expenses of fancier and much more expensive spas where you have to spend the whole day lounging around there to feel like you’ve gotten your money’s worth. On the contrary, A Perfect Day usually has good deals going on so you can buy a bunch of hours for a good price. You are in and out efficiently with a good massage. Don’t forget to tip your masseuse! They work really hard!
