Local, family-​owned hardware shop. They will have anything you may need, including if you walk in with a screw or piece in your hand and say «I’m not sure what this is, but it came from my _​_​_​_​_​and I need a new one.» They’ll look at it and say, «Sure! One minute!» and pop back out with exactly what you need. Prices are good, considering it’s a small-​time shop and not Home Desperate. Staff is friendly and pleasant.

This past summer, I bought a beautiful, used, large, all-​wood kitchen table with its eight matching chairs. The only problem was, the large metal screws needed to connect the table’s legs were missing. The seller had assured me the screws could easily be replaced, and I wanted to believe he was right. I really wanted that table. It would be perfect for my large kitchen, I thought.
The next weekend, I went to The Home Depot, twice. No luck. No one there had ever seen the kind of screws that were needed. I hadn’t been in a hardware store in years, but since I didn’t know where else to go, I thought it was at least worth a try.
I walked into True Value Hardware with one of the table legs, waited until it was my turn, and then explained what I was looking for. The elderly man who was waiting on me listened patiently, then took the leg I had been holding and said, «Well, let’s see what we have» and disappeared behind a row of tall, well-​stocked shelves. When he returned a few minutes later, the leg was fitted with a long, narrow metal screw.
I couldn’t believe it. The Home Depot had a long isle filled with drawers for different kinds of screws, but, apparently, none of them would have fit that table leg. Yet, this old-​fashioned neighborhood hardware store, that can’t begin to compare in size, somehow manages to stock the unusual screw. I thanked my helper (a few times), paid for the eight screws I needed (which, including the tax, cost less than $ 10), and walked out hardly believing my good luck. Since that time, I have been a true believer in the value of small neighborhood hardware stores, and I make a point of shopping at this one regularly.

Great local hardware store. Even though not very large seems to have almost everything. Very helpful staff. My family loves this place.
