Very convenient to get to since Manhattan bagels is right by 33. Staff is friendly and quick service. Reasonable priced for sure. We order breakfast as an office and pretty happy with them!

Asked for a Bagel w Lox, tomato and cream cheese. That was apparently too hard and the lady gave me attitude. She also said it was part of the lunch menu when it was clearly on the breakfast one and it was 6:45am. So instead of hash browns as a side I had to get cole slaw. When I politely said I didn’t want a side she gave me even more attitude and put cole slaw in my box.

This place used to be great even though the bagels have never matched a good NY bagel like Terrace Bagels on Rt. 9. The menu is diverse, the service is pretty good, and it’s convenient. Unfortunately, the guy that used to man the grill with expert speed left. The help behind the counter and the new cook are slow and annoying. I’ve heard the cook yelling and reprimanding the staff in front of customers. They changed the way you order and pick-up so the pace is really slow. The portion size in sandwiches has decreased, and the place isn’t as clean as it used to be. The last time I went in was truly last time I ever will go in. I ordered a breakfast sandwich of egg whites, pork roll and cheese. I then asked to add some spinach to the eggs. After some confusion and whispering between the cook and the cashier, and a quick discussion in the back, the cashier returned to tell me the spinach would be an additional $ 2.50!!! The entire sandwich was about $ 3 bucks, and they wanted another $ 2.50 for a few leaves of spinach! Are you kidding me??? Unfortunately, I had to give them money one last time to get the original sandwich without the pricey spinach. My daughter was hungry and I wasn’t going to drive to Terrace. I will in the future. Every single time. Manhattan Bagel Blows.

I haven’t been here often enough to explore the menu, but do you really need to at a bagel joint? The bagels are great, friendly staff, organized order/pay system. Staff even remembers me by name despite only having been there a few times! If you’re craving a bagel and you’re in the freehold area, definitely stop in at Manhattan Bagel. They will not disappoint!

Stumbled upon this spot while running an errand. This store is like a hidden jewel as the complex it’s housed in appears ran down and gives off the vibe that there is not much to offer here! However, this bagel shop is awesome! I was impressed with the large menu selection and was pleased to see the menu include lighter calorie items. I got the egg white bagel thin with asparagus, mushrooms, and Swiss thin covered with a zesty tomato sauce. It was very good! Lacking on the mushrooms though. They used real eggs, not the imitation stuff & it really made a difference. My husband ordered a raisin bagel with egg & cheese and he liked his selection as well. The place offers a sit down area inside, but it was a little too small for all the the traffic that comes through there for us to dine in comfortably. We took our orders to go. They also offer various selections of coffee and teas. Overall, it was a good find and we’ll certainly come again!
