Bark This Way is dedicated to providing high quality pet care for your pets as if they were our own. Our services include daily dog walking, pet-​sitting, playtime and taking time to care for your pet (s) to ensure their well being when you can’t be there, in the comfort of their own home and familiar surroundings. Let us take the worry out of leaving your pet (s) whether you are at work, away, having a night on the town or extended day trip. We also offer a Pet Taxi service to take your pet to grooming and vet appointments. We are happy to custom tailor our services to meet your needs during free consultation and meet and greet. At no extra charge we can: retrieve mail, newspaper and deliveries, garbage/​recycle cans, administer medications, accident clean-​up, and any other pet need. Playtime, belly rubs and kisses given freely.

Business Owner

Elizabeth Slade (owner) spent 25 years working for Monmouth County and then the pharmaceutical industry. She was raised in Marlboro, NJ and graduated from St. Francis College in Brooklyn, NY (that should be your first clue how her love of animals was nurtured) and has resided in Freehold Boro since 1988. As a pet owner, she was concerned with the welfare of her pets when she was working long hours or away on vacation. She believes all pets are really our best friends and part of the family. Her love of animals and their wellbeing inspired her to open Bark This Way, caring for other people’s pets as if they were her own. Elizabeth’s current fur family includes a St. Bernard mix named Buddy and two cats: Batman and Snickers. (Batman was named by her husband!) Currently all her fur kids are rescues. She is a very dedicated Pet Mom and has had a number of dogs and cats since she was 5 years old. She believes keeping a pet healthy physically and mentally includes exercise and play.
