Hilldrup Taxi & Virginia Cab

I ordered a cab for 10:25PM off of Route 3 and I-​95 40 minutes in advance. I called dispatch at 10:10PM to update my pickup to 10:35PM when I realized I would be a little bit late, out of courtesy and not wanting the cabbie to get there too early waiting for me. I got to the pick-​up location at 10:30PM and waited 15 minutes, then called dispatch at 10:45PM. Dispatch told me they sent the cab to drive someone else instead of waiting for me, and that the driver would be back to pick me up within 2 – 3 minutes. I get a call from a driver at 10:53PM that they would be picking me up in 5 minutes, and finally I got picked up at 11PM.
The driver himself, once he got there, took me where I needed to go in a timely manner. Hence, two stars instead of just one.

Perhaps the previous reviewer called a different company? I have used them for years and they have always been very prompt and courteous.

I wish I could give them zero stars. This is the worst taxi service I have ever used. Don’t waste your time using them. I have given them multiple chances, thinking that perhaps it was just my driver, but it is the company as a whole. They say when you are on hold that their dispatch system can get a driver to you in 5 to 8 minutes which is a total lie. I am located directly off of rt. 1 less than 10 minutes away from downtown and have waited anywhere from 15 to 40 minutes to get a cab. I’ve even called early to get a cab sent to me at a specific time and they have either showed up late or not at all. The last straw however was when I called the company to see what was going on with my ride and was very rudely told that they showed up, waited, called me and left. I was outside waiting the entire time with my phone on me and nobody ever came. If you don’t have to get where your going on time and like being treated like trash, use this company. If you would rather not be constantly late and prefer to be treated like a human being who is PAYING for a service, use Bumbrey or literally any other cab company in Fredericksburg.
