Just left. Walked in and the place stunk like dirty mop. Sat at a table for several minutes without being acknowledged by the server or bartender. So we left.

Where the locals hang out, and the conversations plentiful. Love the atmosphere, and the staff are very friendly. Parking may be a challenge since its in a neighborhood with street parking, but totally worth the hassle. Went there for drinks, didn’t try their bar menu, maybe next time… cute theme nights.

My boyfriend and I stopped at this place to grab some food while truck shopping. The atmosphere was great and the bar was very clean. Honestly, if we didn’t think we was going to be test driving a vehicle it would definitely be the perfect place to grab an few beers and catch a game. The staff was very attentive and just awesome!

I’ve been here a handful of times and have always left happy! The service is great and it’s a fun atmosphere. Also, the food. Dang. They offer so much more than your typical «bar» style restaurant. Fried mac & cheese bites, amazing burgers, tater tots, salads — it’s all good!
This is a great place for lunch/​dinner or for a late night bar stop!

Found this place on Unilocal.It’s in a neighborhood and was very good. Food was hot and fast and the drinks cold. If you like a dive bar, local influence, this is the place for you.
Staff was friendly. If I lived locally, I’d go back for sure.

In town for work and needed a place to watch the Packers play, decided on Happy Endings after seeing it well reviewed on Unilocal.The reviews didn’t lie, the food was excellent, the beer was cold, and the prices were low. Comfortable atmosphere and very friendly staff, I’m not sure what else you can ask for. I will be back!

I was very surprised by the quality & quantity of the food. Most dive bars don’t put too much emphasis on their food, but this one does! Cold beer, awesome staff, excellent food, great price. What else could you ask for? I’ll definitely be back very shortly!

My favorite cheap, hang out bar. Also, all the food is fantastic whether you are drunk or not. Bartenders are all friendly. The only downside is the people who live in the housing around it that complain all the time, which has caused the outdoor patio to be for smoking only, no drinks or food outside after 10pm.

My Husband are relatively new to the area and have been slowly experiencing the local restaurants. We read the reviews for Happy Endings and we decided to try it.
We loved it! We started with the Gouda mac & cheese bites. You have to try these, they are amazing! For entrees, I had 2 fish tacos and my Husband had a cheeseburger with ghost pepper cheese and tots. The fish was fried but not greasy and was completely delicious in the tacos. No fishy smell or if-​y appearance, just deliciousness. My Husband reported that his burger was awesome and he loved that they offered ghost pepper cheese, we hadn’t seen that offered anywhere else! The tots were hot and crispy.
We met Matt, he was behind the bar and our server, who was super friendly and talked to us the whole time about the best places to eat/​drink in the surrounding areas. Being newer to the state we were really happy to have so many recommendations.
The service and food are 5 stars! We will definitely be back!

Great burgers and cheap beer? What else can you ask for from a bar or pub? The $ 2 draft Yuenglings were cold. The Redskins Burger with pretzel bun was ridiculous! The friendly bartender (and patrons) were an added bonus. This place doesn’t look like much from the outside but inside its warm and friendly. My cousin recommended it to me and I owe him a six-​pack for it!

Sundays are $ 6 domestic pitchers (including Yuengling!) and $ 2 off appetizers. The cheese and bacon fries are awesome — REAL bacon on them! They have darts too w/​a real dart board so keep your head down on the way to the bathrooms ;-) This is a cool neighborhood bar not far from the main shopping drag in downtown Fredericksburg. Easily within walking distance so stop by!

Dive bar in down town Fred, a local watering hole if you will. Happy’s has extremely friendly staff and almost everyone inside is of the same demeanor. Cheap drinks, great music, and they have a dart board. Throughout the week they have karaōke and a DJ on the weekends. Great place to get a cheap pitcher of Miller and unwind with some friends on a late night. There is a kitchen but I’ve never eaten here or even seen a menu. Several TV’s are typically playing local sports or ESPN.
The music can be a little overbearing at times due simply to how small the space is. There is some outdoor seating that is typically covered with people smoking so I steer clear of it and stay inside.

When I was in college this was one of my favorite bars. I loved the $ 2 pitcher deals on Wednesday and especially Friday nights — they were definitely something I’d look forward to all week. They don’t have this deal anymore, but they still have $ 5 pitchers which is still an amazing deal, especially living in DC now, where pitchers are usually $ 12 to $ 15. The other drinks here are also pretty cheap and they’re always running some kind of special which is great.
Saturday nights they have karaōke, which is awesome. The DJ/​host always plays and sings ‘Go, go, Godzilla,’ and there is no judgement for bad singers, since almost every song turns into a group sing along.
To me this place defines a dive bar; when you’re inside you really feel like you are in a hole in the wall. It’s a small space, long and narrow, with only a few windows at the front. The bartenders are always friendly and responsive and the food is decent.
