I had a positive experience here doing a reinspection. As I didn’t have any work done on my vehicle, I can’t speak to the quality of work, rates, etc., but the customer service was wonderful. Very polite and courteous employees. No complaints whatsoever. I will probably bring my truck to them next time it needs work.

I feel welcome everytime I step into the building. The folks at the check-​in are knowledgeable and friendly. The waiting area is inviting and offers amenities for those that decide to wait for their vehicles. I have brought in 4 family vehicles for various vehicle repairs or maintenance upkeeps and haven’t had a problem with the service. I will recommend and have recommended this service station.

Good clean professional place however they quoted me the highest out of ANY repair place for a repair on my car. I was quoted 150 – 200 everywhere I called and they quoted me 400!!! Ridiculous.

When I’ve asked them to do a particular job, they do it well in a timely manner. Express Auto will give you a loaner car while your vehicle is in the shop.
However I am hesitant to give a 4– or 5-​star rating because Express Auto has tried to sell me services/​repairs that are not necessary. One time they suggested «battery service» which is nothing more than cleaning the battery terminals and testing the charging system — a service that Autozone does for free — which would cost ~$ 50. Twice they have told me a wheel bearing was loose and had too much play– I checked it myself and asked another mechanic for a second opinion it turns it was just fine. Same thing for a ball joint, which was actually fairly new.
Overall good shop for basic work or routine repairs, albeit pricey.

Five full stars for this service station. Have been going to Express Auto for years for our cars’ needs. What a life saver they are. My car was over heating & without an appointment they began working at once on the vehicle. They don’t waste a minute in getting it back to running. They’re well experienced & very fair with prices. Apparently, we’re «Family» with them because that’s how we’re treated. This is the full service station you need on your side. We’re long term & loyal customers who will continue to rely on Express Auto for all our cars’ needs.

I am very happy I found EAS. I was trying to get a state inspection at the end of last month and the dealerships across the street both told me 2+ hour wait! Ugh! Who wants to sit in a dealership that long, really?! I found EAS across the street and was in and out in 30 ish mins. I was impressed with their honesty when I heard them speaking with other patrons, especially women. My son is a mechanic in Richmond and I know all about the classic «upselling» crap. They did not even try it. AND when I checked in here I got $ 5 off any service. I just had the «tire pressure» light come on and stopped by, they quickly checked my pressure and added air where needed. No charge! I am a fan and will use them for the vehicles that are not under warranty from now on~

Visit for regular oil changes and vehicle needs. I commute 100 miles per day, so it’s nice to know Express auto will always take care of my Honda. Always easy to schedule appointments. Recent visit was a regular synthetic oil change where I was pulled aside about changing my transmission fluid. Mechanic showed me current fluid, described how often it needs to be changed and how I was past due. Politely described the price of price and verified if I would liked it changed. Always love the refreshments in the waiting area– only 45 minutes for the oil and fluid change. Will go back,

Friendly, courteous staff. Britney is a charm and had the work done .5 hour earlier than originally promised at 2 hours.
BTW my other issue, steering vibration @ 60mph, was also due to the brake calipers needing to be replaced.
I am happy, happy, happy that now my vehicle is running as it should!

I have always received good service from Express Auto. Sure you have to put up with the vehicle analysis and up sale on additional services. But here is the thing, and the up sale works two ways. 1) If you say no thanks then they leave it at that, there is no hard sell. 2) legitimate issues do get pointed out and you can prioritize your repairs. The prices are competitive for the area a few bucks either side of the others, that is sometimes higher sometimes lower. The service though is very good and they stand behind their work.
General preventive maintenance is quick and easy, usually only a short wait. Lobby is clean, usually enough seats to go around. There is coffee and tea. The only negative is the TV. FOX news on all the time, just annoying noise (it is a small lobby). There are a lot of magazines and newspapers — but you can’t read because of the TV. Probably ought to do away with one or the other.

I responded on another survey, but I would rate this an outstanding experience. The entire shop was friendly, responsive, and accommodating to my needs. The waiting room was clean and had plenty to offer. I will recommend your shop to my friends in the future. I hope you continue your same great service… it builds a brand and loyalty to that brand. That brand should be based on putting the customer first, explaining everything in detail, and proving that they are dealing with an honest service shop that is looking out for them. Sometimes that means recommending a service that would cost less. So far I am impressed with Express Auto.

Very pleasant experience. I appreciated the fact that a dozen other «services» weren’t crammed down my throat. That’s why I stopped going to that «other» place. The fresh coffee and pastries were a nice treat as well. I’ll bring my other two vehicles here.

Went in to replace a faulty starter and get an oil change. They replaced the starter without a problem, but afterwards they tried to convince me that I had a crack in my timing belt and it needed to be replaced. My car uses a timing chain. When I left later that day my car began to leak oil, and I took it to a different mechanic who informed me that the oil cap had not been screwed back all the way.
Very untrustworthy place. Not recommended.

I had a roller lifter go bad, and after a while it damaged the cam shaft. At the time I had no idea what the problem was. After these guys had my truck for almost 2 weeks I got a $ 300.00 oil change and the suggestion that I leave it longer so they could check a few other things. I gave up and took my truck back to the dealer ship where I purchased it before I got home they called and told me what was wrong and the price to fix it. This place will rip you off in my opinion.
