History

Established in 2001.

After working several years for a major plumbing chain on commission, I was tired of watching people struggling to pay ridiculously high prices. I decided to become my own boss and offer affordable plumbing services. We do not work on commission and have very reasonable prices.

I am originally from Vermont, and have spent most of my life working as a R.N. — lastly at Mary Washington Hospital ICU. After 19 years in the nursing profession, I took time off to raise my 2^nd child and decided to be a stay at home Mom. Six years later I was offered a job at 3-​D Roger Rooter Plumbing. I had helped Roger with various business tasks over the years as favors (he’s my neighbor) or in exchange for plumbing work. He told me that he really needed an office manager to handle the day to day paperwork/​operations and to work on improving all aspects of his business. That was back in April, 2012. We have made some steady quality improvements and had some setbacks through our learning curves. Overall I find the job challenging enough to stay interesting and enjoy being able to work from home around my kid’s busy schedules. I am married with 2 children and have lived in Fredericksburg for 14 years.
