So it’s more pricey then most delivery places, wouldn’t you rather pay a lil more for fresh veggies and real honest to god cheese? Yep, thought you would, besides, the people that work there are incredibly friendly and efficient, get a large veggie and just enjoy it,

This is a take and bake joint, similar to the classic Joe Corby’s Pizza Kits of yore. You go in, place your order and they make the pizza in front of you. You then go home and cook it your damn self and all for the same cost if not %-10% more than what it would cost you to order from Domino’s or the Pizza Slut. Overall not bad, but I do find the prices to be a tad high, especially considering they don’t even cook the pizza! They have a deal on Tuesdays which makes the prices more reasonable, but overall, I do not see myself coming here regularly. I will note that if I have to drive out to grab a pizza then spend fifteen minutes cooking it, I can buy one of those kick ass frozen pizzas from the Safeway for a third of the price. Yeah, I know they are frozen, but still, I can feed a shitload people more for the same costs. Anycase, overall, it’s a pretty decent pizza, price hits a little hard unless you buy on Tuesdays, and if you’re in the area, not a bad options, bu I doubt I’m going out of my way for it again any time soon.

Pizza was good enough. Service not so good. It was my first time. I ask for a small pizza as this would be for one person… me. Told we don’t have small pizza, medium is our small. Okay, I ordered medium cheese pizza. Customer comes in and asks for a small $ 5 cheese pizza, and they have them. Confused I asked about this small $ 5 pizza(after mine had being prepared) and was told I wouldn’t want that. The one I ordered has more cheese. Both gentlemen working there looked and acted nervous, as they should have. Don’t remember ever being so outright misled when purchasing something. Buyer beware.

This pizza is awesome… they use top quality ingredients… veggies are always very fresh – they put whole basil leaves on the veggie pizza! Of course, you have to pick up your pizza and take it home and bake it yourself, but if you plan ahead, that can actually be more convenient. You don’t have to worry about when the pizza will arrive if you have company, for example. I hope this place does well because they obviously work very hard to make a quality product.

I was late getting home from work the other night; called my boyfriend to tell him to turn on the oven because I was going to pick up a pizza from Papa Murphy’s. It was 7:55 and the kid on the other end of the line said, «You know we close at 8:00, right?» No, young man, I did not know that you close at 8:00. Good luck finding their hours listed on their website. Anyway…I have actually had a Papa Muphy’s pizza before and it was very good. I hesitate adding it to my list of «Frederick Pizza Joints» just because you pick it up and bake it at home, but it’s better than any store-bought frozen or refrigerated pizzas because you can customize your toppings and crust style. It’s also relatively cheap and coupons are constantly showing up in the mail. Just make sure you get there early.

I was able to try this place last week, and I was very impressed I must say. I can tell you we love pizza, and this is as good as it gets for chain pizza. I have not tried the deLite yet but I will. The crust is delicious, with just the right amount of cheese and sauce. If you are lucky enough to have one in your town try it out.

You know how sometimes when you move to a new city you find yourself missing all the things that you were used to back in your old town? Papa Murphy’s was one of those for me. I lived for 2 years in Frederick without my take and bake pizza, but I don’t have to do that anymore! If you’ve never been to a Papa Murphy’s, it’s well worth a try — although you might find yourself hooked after first bite. The concept is they make an unbaked pizza for you in the store with the freshest ingredients of your choosing, wrap it up, you take it home, slide it in your oven for 12 – 15 minutes, and suddenly your house turns into an Italian kitchen with a wood fired pizza oven and wafts of bubbling cheeses and crisping pizza dough fill the air. You take out the pizza, slice it up, and eat it. You will rarely find a fresher pie than this. It’s amazing. My favorites are Papa’s Favorite and Veggie deLite, but really any of them are delicious. I warn you though, it will be very difficult to go back to the chain delivery pizza joints after trying this pizza, because you will wonder why their pizza isn’t as fresh and gooey and warm and amazing. Visit the store’s Web site for a lot of coupons.
