History

Established in 2002.

The Clever Carpenter llc. is a residential remodeling company working out of Fraser Michigan. We Service both Macomb County and Oakland County. We are providing remodeling services ranging from kitchen and bath makeovers and finished basements with some flair to small handyman jobs such as switching out doors and hardware, adding some cabinets, trim and a fresh coat of paint. These are things that always just need to get done. Having working relations with electricians, plumbers, painters, H.V.A.C., masons, glaziers, wood flooring, tile etc… gives me the ability to coordinate and control the situation to achieve the desired affect while minimizing the chance of confusion or delay.

Business Owner

My name is Dave and I am The Clever Carpenter llc. My history goes back to high school in Shelby Township where I started roughing electrical for a friend of mines father’s company. After graduation I started in carpentry in residential home framing. I then worked as a painter for a few years where I learned how to finish/​mud walls. (It’s all in the prep work. :) I moved from non union commercial carpentry to union carpentry. After 4 years of trade school and 15 years of framing, dry walling, acoustic ceilings, doors and hardware, and finish trim work… at schools, hospitals, office buildings etc. I’ve seen just about everything. I now work for myself and am trying to restore some faith in the contracting business. By taking pride in what I do and putting the job before the dollar, my goal is to show that there is still a contractor out there that can be trusted to not only perform the necessary job skills but to provide a service that leaves the client with a smile.
