Valvoline Instant Oil Change

My girl friend went in for oil and filter change and transmission fluid. When they were done, her dashboard warning lights were going off. She pointed it out to him. She asked him to check, but the dude wouldn’t lift the hood to check. He told her «that happens» and to go to her mechanic. So she went to her mechanic. Her mechanic lifted the hood and said the Valvoline guy didn’t reconnect the air hose! How lame is that? We will not go there anymore as they are incompetent, untrustworthy, and evidently don’t give a crap about their customers.

I love coming here, the guys are hilarious and quick with the work. The manager mike is a little rough around the edges (but then again he is from the north) he is still a good guy and genuinely wants to help you take care of your car.

Wow I’v never had such a bad and rude experience from any place I’v done business in the south. Saturday September 10 – 2015 9:00am. I called to see if they had the $ 19.95 oil change, the manager or supervisor on that day was very chipper on the phone until I men genes the coupon.
When I showed up the same man (I could tell it was the same person whom answered the phone by his east coast accent) came to me and asked how can we help you. I replied I’m here for the $ 19 oil change. He replied it would be 45 minutes to and hour and walked away. The first thing that came too mined was why would it take that long to finish the two cars in two bays when it is only suppose to take 15 minutes for an oil change. Then I thought the guy doesn’t want to change my oil for $ 19.
I settled in for the wait and about 5 to 10 minutes latter I hear the same guy yelling at me to wake up! I thought this guy has no customer service. I drove in and the guy who seemed to be in charge for the day was treating me with an attitude as if I was in his why from making money. The last straw was when he asked me what kind of oil did I want and I responded Valvoline he turned and every abruptly stated we only use Valvoline! (Rude) I then told him (as if he didn’t know) I wanted the $ 19 special at that point he stated we don’t have a special I told him it’s on the internet at this point and time he moved over to my car and leans in my window and asked me to show him the coupon. At this point and time I had enough and told the guy to put my hood down, and I told this not so smart guy that we in the south will not stand for pour attitude and unprofessional antics, then I drove away.
If you want a deal don’t go here you will be treated as if you are a bother.
I will not be back!

I stopped by during my lunch break today around 11:15 AM. There were no other customers there when I arrived, so I was assisted right away. The gentlemen were very pleasant. I told them I was only interested in getting my oil change, not other add-​on services. The were very respectful of that. The team was very fast and I was out of there within about 15 minutes. I will definitely go back the next time my car needs servicing.

I was undecided between 3 and 4 stars. I was going to give them 3 because the service getting into the bay was slow. Upon entering the bay the manager explained to me that they had 2 stripped drain plugs on the cars before me. I gave them a pass because this was out of their control. Once in the bay the service was fast and efficient. One thing I did appreciate was the lack of the hard sell I get at some of the stores I visit. I am a 40+ year old car guy. I have forgotten more than some of these young kids know. I don’t need the sales pitch. When in town I will visit this store again.

Not a very good experience ! Supposed to be a quick place yet definitely wasn’t quick ended up taking over 30 minutes and there was nobody ahead of me one of the guys is too busy on the phone which seem to be dealing with personal problem. But the manager tried to make things better by being extra friendly which I appreciated but I won’t be going back

Fine as far as an oil change, but staff was kinda bossy. They were a little slammed around lunch and so I asked them if I could leave my keys. «I need you to stay with your vehicle» was the reply. I left and did a bit of errand shopping and came back 10 minutes or so later, pulled in and say «OK guys I’ll go sit in the office just let me know when it’s done» «Stay in your vehicle sir» they tell me like I have been pulled over and they are the cops. I stay for a bit, they scan my car in, I shut it off and they finally allow me to go sit in their lobby, but it was like I was asking to borrow 50 bucks or something. They finished the oil change quickly and were courteous otherwise, but some control issues of staff are over-​clouding what could have been a less weird and more pleasant experience. Not sure I will be back.

Great place! The staff is friendly and not pushy about additional services. They’re fast and efficient. I’ll be back!
