Founded by Sally Matsukawa, Toy Elephant Photography started as more of a passion project and has grown significantly to the point of being renowned for wedding photography and maternity photography. Of course headshots, (acting headshots, corporate headshots etc.) have become increasingly popular by demand over the years.

Although Toy Elephant Photography has worked internationally, we are still Nashville’s local photographer and have become a local favorite among many.

History

Established in 2010.

In hear earlier years, Sally Matsukawa studied photography in college. Outside of the school walls she teamed up with artists where she picked up her current photography style.

The beauty in her wedding photography picked up speed fast which lead her to become one of Nashville’s top wedding photographers. She’s also built up a reputation for headshots and maternity photography.

Business Owner

Sally Matsukawa has been working with photography since she was young and chubby. She’s would shoot just about everything, and had no problem wasting a roll of film on a cat or dog.

Learning how to develop her own film is what really started her creative edge. Shortly after learning the techniques in the dark room, Sally learned the amazing world of Photoshop. This new venture lead her to college where she learned more about being behind the camera. However, outside of the college walls and along side other innovative photographers, Sally picked up non-​traditional teachings and methods. This opened the door to allowing her to mix her traditional school of thought with non-​traditional, thinking-​outside-​the-​box methods.

These days Sally enjoys many different types of photography that allow her to capture the moment. Favoring the journalistic approach Sally is able to capture any life milestone with ease.
