When you walk into the Indigo Duck, you immediately feel as though you’ve stepped into the laid-back, charming South Carolina low country. While the menu changes frequently, there are a few trusty staples that are always constant. Chef Joe Hewett cut his culinary teeth in the low country, and he’s brought his perfected recipes back to the Hoosier state. His wife, Karen, is an equally talented pastry chef. Everything on the dinner menu is amazing! The maple-roasted duck is incredibly succulent. The seafood rocks, including the she crab soup appetizer. And the steaks are killer! Saturday and Sunday brunch are a mouth-watering treat. You’ll need to call ahead for reservations, because the place is packed. The great thing about the brunch is that you get a high-end gourmet brunch for what you’d pay at Bob Evans. I’m talking shrimp and cheese grits, people!
