I can’t believe the reviews on here after my(first!) experience at PD’s today. Everyone I encountered from the female employees to the owner, to the gentleman who helped us load our MANY items were phenomenal and the items we found(furniture and accessories alike!) were chic, affordable and lovely. This is a hidden gem and I’m thrilled to have found it!

Contrary to the reviews on here. The three ladies working there were very friendly to me and my two boys. I don’t normally bring my toddler shopping but the day I went in, I did. They were very helpful helping me get my things to the car and ordering what I needed They were fantastic and the pieces were a great price. So happy!

I loved loved this hole in the wall by the tracks when I first found it. I always found a great little piece or two for home décor at a decent price. Lately, it’s mostly been larger furniture pieces and fewer décor items. The prices have increased as well with these furniture items making it more difficult to find that little treasure. I wish they would bring back more smaller décor items like before.

Rude and apathetic employees. Furniture is of very substandard quality, hence no exchanges or returns. I’d rather pay more and give my money to an owner who demonstrates worthiness by instilling a positive culture with their employees and personally.

Remember the movie«Pretty Woman» where Julia Roberts walks into a boutique on Rodeo Drive? That’s how the staff treats you at P.D.‘s …except it doesn’t matter how you’re dressed! They are consistent. Consistently snobby every time, especially the owner! Don’t let their products fool you. Nothing better than TJ Maxx here. They import most everything from other countries and then overprice it big time but somehow try to make you feel like you’re getting a great deal by being in Franklin’s Antique district. Blah… never going again. I gave it almost 10 tries… tried to be overly nice to the staff and cannot stand them. Go to BARNDOOR next door to them instead! Local made stuff just as good. Better prices and super friendly!!!

Prices and products are good, but the staff really turns you off with their customer service skills to the point you don’t want to give them your business at all. I have noticed their prices increasing. You don’t even want to ask for help. This is terrible to feel this way in a place of business. The store is quaint and cute.

I’m a really big fan of the genre of décor offered at PD’s, but like many of the other commenters had to say – the staff is ridiculous to deal with. Very rude. Great location to find gorgeous linen pillows, holiday décor and furniture(definitely on par with a cheaper Pottery Barn, aesthetically), but the women working the store are seemingly always huffy, don’t smile and act incredibly put out if you ask for help. Don’t bother calling – they don’t answer the phone. Nor do they have a web address(what business doesn’t have a website in 2014?). My advice is to stop by and see what you find, but don’t be surprised if you’re treated rudely.

Nice stuff, but their employees are terribly RUDE and condescending. That’s a deal-breaker for me. I won’t be back to PDs. Plenty of other places who are happy to have my money

I want to give this place a five star because I LOVETHEIRSTUFF! A home decorators paradise at affordable prices. I want everything in the store. I can’t give it give 5 stars because they are so RUDE. It’s almost laughable because it reminds us of the soup nazis from Seinfeld. You keep going back for more, trying to engage them and your met with aloof disinterest and boredom. The majority of items are not marked and you dread bothering them for a price. SNL could do a skit on these ladies, don’t believe me? Go check it out-but maintain your sense of humor.

Horrible customer service and rude. Also they don’t take any returns but they don’t tell you that upfront. It’s printed on your receipt after the purchase! Any I suggest shopping somewhere else from our bad treatment.

I like their furniture and accessories however working in customer service at doctors offices for the past 14 years, if I had their attitude I would have been fired! If you dont like to answer questions that your customers have and if you don’t want people to ask you the price of an item how bout put a price tag on it and work from home!!! I have been to PD’s multiple times over the past 9 years and I leave mad at the staff almost every time.

Although the prices can be right on some of the furniture their staff is INCREDIBLY rude. I have several friends who have been and commented on the same thing. I also ordered something that came damaged. Upon pick up we noticed it was damaged and since it took several weeks to get it in we had the option of canceling the order and getting our money back. It took nearly a year(yes, you heard me right), to get the refund and several trips out there to find out why it was taking so long because they don’t answer their phone. We have choices people, don’t choose PD’s.

this store/space is jam-packed with big pieces of furniture… that are similar to the shabby chic look or a low scale pottery barn… most stuff is country/white/rough looking and getting a deal can be hit or miss. They have weird hours and if you don’t know what you are looking for you will not find the building as it is at the back end of town across the railroad tracks and looks just like a big old municipal building… there is no signage… good luck finding your treasure…

We love stopping in here to see what treasure we might find for the home — almost like a TJ Maxx in the randomness and good prices!

This place is great! The owner is a wonderfully nice person who has impeccable taste. I have found so many deals here, most recently I purchased a couch very similar to the one I wanted from Pottery Barn & saved over $ 1500!!! I am getting married soon so needless to say my newlywed budget is very small. I am able to decorate with things I find at PDs without breaking the bank.

I wish my wife would stop buy junk here thinking it is a deal, then trying to find something to do with it or some place to put it in my house. Great if you like Chinese furniture that falls apart.

I love this place! They sell furniture, linens, and other home décor usually at or below wholesale price. You can find beautiful armoirs that are $ 600, 300 thread count linen sheet sets for $ 80, and nice oriental rugs for $ 100.The people who work there are friendly and helpful. It’s located the old train depot in downtown Franklin, close to the antique district so it makes it the perfect stop along the way. It can appear a bit unorganized but that’s because they don’t spend money on the frills that most business have which is how they keep their overhead down. Just ask and items and prices can be found for you. As mentioned by Leigh they don’t accept returns either. So make sure you know you want it when you walk out! The owner is a great woman with great taste!

While everything in PD’s may not always be quite in my price range it is a fabulous place to pick up accessories and lots of ideas. They offer upscale linens, furniture, and gifts. But buyer beware they only will exchange returns. Unless you shop there everyday. I have seen them make exceptions for very valued customers.
