Oh McDougal’s…I’m still talking about your french fries. My co-worker has a love for chicken fingers and we decided to stop by McDougal’s for lunch. I ordered the small basket of chicken fingers which includes 3 chicken fingers/strips, fries and TN toast. The chicken fingers/strips were interesting because even though they were deep fried, they weren’t heavily battered so they really didn’t seem so unhealthy. Now, on that note, most of the flavor is in the batter so if your crust falls off of your chicken like mine did, you’ll basically be eating chicken breast. I got the honeybee dipping sauce which was okay, nothing to write home about. The fries though… oh the fries! They reminded me of In-N-Out fries but seasoned. They were crispy and well seasoned and I ate the whole thing… and then wanted more. I would probably go back to eat french fries. Service was fast, and everything was A-OK but they get the extra star for having fries that would bring me back over and over again and humungous portions.

Pretty great stuff. Location: I believe I enjoy this location better than the Hillsboro Village one… Much cleaner and less crowded. It doesn’t have quite the same vibe of the HV one, but still a cool feel. Food: Delicious, as always. I’ve never been disappointed here. I love the small basket, and the salads. Although many other places have a very similar sauce, the McDougal’s sauce is quite tasty. Value: A bit pricey, but it’s Nashville. Even though I’ve lived in Nashville for 5 years now, I’m still used to Arkansas suburbia prices… so paying $ 10 for a basket of chicken, fries, and a drink still seems a bit on the high side. Service: Always good. Plus you get free ice cream, so you can’t beat that. Overall: Great food, great location. Definitely a quick and easy favorite.

We love McDougals chicken fingers — the best around town! The food is always hot & fresh. I love seeing you guys run local deals with Sharing Spree — gives me another reason to stop in for those delicious fingers :) Oh and we love the sauces too.

When it’s chicken in Franklin you’re seeking to Google forget that site and head straight to McDougal’s! No I don’t moonlight as a jingle writer, but I do enjoy a mean tender o’chicken. Since that’s my reality, McDougal’s is my WillCo spot. Great cuts of breast-meat are divided into amply sized tenders. Hand-cut fries are piled high on your plate. Golden Texas Toast provides an option for an open-faced chicken sandwich(if you’re in the mood to take an unnecessary risk). Sodas and beers flow like the Cumberland River sans pollution and driftwood. McDougal’s sauces tend to steal the show. The Gold sauce is a good mix of tang and mild heat, while the Tearjerker will build a slow burn that will send you back to the water fountain a few times. Contrary to a few opinions on the market, the grilled chicken is flavorful and juicy. However, the fried chicken is the way to go(soaks up sauce like Eddie Vedder during a Pearl Jam concert) if you have an extra notch on your belt. All-in-all, this is a good meal for a great price. Bring an empty stomach!

It’s really hard to mess up fried chicken. Pretty much everybody loves it and it’s the source of many a vegetarian’s wistful longings for the days when they would eat just about anything. You could call this the bacon effect. McDougal’s fried chicken tenders are delicious with the Gold sauce, but their barbecue and honey mustard offerings are legit, too. The fries actually might be my favorite part. Hand-cut shoestring fries? Yes, please.

Well let’s get their EXTREMELY complicated menu out of the way first. They serve Chicken. That’s really all they do. It’s average chicken and skinny fries. They probably have salads and wings and things like that but no one cares… it still revolves around chicken. Lots of sauces are available to make your local gym and or treadmill will hate you for. You can get it fried(if in a aw the hell with the way I look days) or grilled if you just want some flavorless chicken. They even have the FAUX ice cream, for free mind you. That’s because there is not a chance in hell that someone would pay for water and some unknown powder substance mixed together. So might as well make it free. I had water so I can only assume they have Mountain Dew for the hippies and Diet Coke for the fatties.

Yum, McDougal’s is awesome! I ordered the Chicken Strips fried with the original buffalo sauce. The chicken arrived still hot and very tender. I liked the buffalo sauce is what you would expect I like that no surprises. I also asked for bleu cheese for dipping it was good. I liked the fries too. It was very busy and very packed but fun. I will be going back.

We saw the sign for Free Beer on black Friday and knew it was the place to be. They have 2 for 1 beer all the time with a good selection including Sam Adams and Fat Tire. Great service with people remembering what beer you ordered. Great patio, too.

McDougals is right by our house and while it’s unfortunate for my waistline it’s very fortunate for my taste buds. My husband and I LOVE their chicken fingers and fries. That honey bee sauce is to-die-for. I highly recommend. Fun environment as well and now they have 2 for 1 drafts — mm! :)

Fantastic! This was just the type of place I wanted to visit while in Nashville. The tenders, fries and sauces were outstanding. Went in 20 minutes before closing and they made sure I wasn’t hurried out. Something tells me this will be a spot I share when I visit Nashville again.

Being a fan of McDougal’s in Hillsboro Village, I thought I already knew what to expect. The place looked a bit crowded, and we were in a rush but decided to give it a try. What I didn’t expect was incredibly fast service, especially when compared to how long it normally takes to get your order at the Hillsboro Village location. The dining area is also much larger. I was quite impressed! MUSTTRYTHEHONEYBEESAUCE! I’m a wimp when it comes to spicy food, and this one is marked a 2, but it’s totally not too spicy. It’s delish! And if you decide to go for the hotter sauces, there’s always free ice cream at the end of your meal. You can’t go wrong with McDougal’s for great chicken tenders.

I have been to the McDougal’s over by Vanderbilt several times, and where that one fails this one succeeds. Our order was ready in about 10 minutes, I haven’t had that kind of turn around at the other location, and that was pretty much the only thing I could ever find wrong with it! I dare say I like these wings better than Buffalo Wild Wings. The Honeybee Sauce is beyond good! The portions of the large basket are enough for two meals, and there is plenty of seating at this location. Outstanding!

Good vibe, good food, great sauces. I think the chicken can be a little tough sometimes but other than that it’s a good spot. My favorite time to go here is with a group of friends. Everybody seems to be laid back and it’s no problem for the kids to be themselves here. Everybody is having a good time at this place.

They have the best chicken tenders ever~~ You can get fried or grilled — I usually get fried. It’s fried on the outside, but still so juicy on the inside. Most of the time you would think 3 chicken tenders(a small basket) is not big enough, so you get a large one(5 chicken tenders) after eating 3, you’re probably really full. It used to be better when you can get the sauces yourself, but now you have to ask for more sauces(still free to get as many as you want though). Free ice cream as dessert. It says that you can only have a 3 oz cup, but they usually don’t mind if you get more. They also have a good deal on kids meals. It’s 1.99 or .99? The kid gets a chicken tender and fries. If you get a large basket, that price is good enough to share. It’s slightly costly without a coupon though. I think it’s 9 dollars for a large basket?

Good food, poor customer service. I visited McDougal’s on Championship Sunday to get wings for our party, we ordered in advance and when we got there at 4:00PM, they told me I got the last of the wings! Well I thought that was crazy, but I returned today(Super Bowl Sunday) and they were out of wings at 12 Noon! I cannot believe on one of the busiest days for wings they are out of wings-and that is their business. I will take my business elsewhere and tell others as well. The wings are great but if you cannot get them what is the point? Poor management!

If you love chicken fingers, then this is the restaurant for you! They serve all kinds of variety’s of the chicken goodness. You can choose from getting your fingers tossed in a sauce of your choice, or sauce on the side for dipping. They serve everything from honey mustard sauce to buffalo. I chose to get buffalo sauce tossed on my chicken. Personally I think you can get better chicken fingers at a much cheaper place. The quality of the chicken seemed to be pretty good quality, but I found that there was to much batter on the chicken… Overall, I think there are better places to choose for dinner than a place that specializes in selling only chicken fingers.

I haven’t checked out the other locations, but this one is fantastic. I often make a jaunt here for lunch since I work off of Mallory Lane. I’m a huge fan of Zaxby’s, but McDougal’s has them beat. I love their house dipping sauce, and their chipotle sauce is just spicy enough. The chicken fingers are available grilled or fried, tossed in buffalo sauce or plain. And the number of dipping sauces available to choose from is a definite plus. I love ordering the grilled fingers and having them tossed in buffalo, but the food is usually so hot that you need a fork and a knife to dip into the sauce of your choice. The fries are fresh and taste like they’re cut right in the store. And check out the buffalo salad with grilled chicken if you’re looking for something to kill a fresh veggie craving. It’s delicious, and if I’m not mistaken, the only dressing they use is the buffalo sauce they toss the chicken in. Yum! While it isn’t the cheapest lunch in town, it certainly is a tasty one.
