Exclusively representing the hand work of Tennessee artists makes Heart and Hands one of the most unique shopping destinations in downtown Franklin.

History

Established in 1994.

The business started when ordinary, but extremely talented, women wanted a place to sell the things they made. We have operated out of 4 places in downtown Franklin, TN since opening. Having to move because of renovations and even just a move from the side street to Main Street. We now exist as a cooperative of creative Tennessee artists, working together to offer you the best from the heart of Tennessee.

Meet the Business Owner

Carol B.

Business Owner

Carol began sewing as a young girl. Her mother got her started and from there she experimented with different techniques. Creating became a way of life when Carol decided to stay at home with her two children and a very supportive husband. She started sewing home accessories and now enjoys sewing dolls, personal accessories, children and baby items. Carol also stumbled upon the old Russian art of Punch needle. This intricate art form, similar to rug hooking but with embroidery floss, requires patience with beautiful results. Carol has demonstrated and taught classes, even hosting a half-hour local craft show on television. She has been in charge of costuming several community theater productions and loves what she is doing.
