I had a very good experience here. I called and told them vaguely what was wrong (I don’t know much about cars) and they told me to come right in. This means a lot to me as I don’t get many days off. My daughter and I waited in their lobby, which was clean and welcoming. …Although they could have had snacks or beverages of some kind – that’s ok. The people were very, very nice and let you know what was wrong and what they were doing at every step. In the end, my car was fixed for a fair price:) I will definitely return.

I own a used car business in the area and bring all of our challenging mechanical work to these guys. This is 100% certain. they are TOP NOTCH technicians and very honest people to deal with. You don’t meet many good people in the car business, so that makes this place all the more great and unique.

I will not go to another garage ever! I bought a used 2010 Camaro SS. The owner before me had the entire exhaust upgraded. A complete headers back kit. I bought the car in 2012 with 6k miles in brand new condition. at times when i’d get on the car a little i noticed a grind in my steering wheel. Took it to the dealer and they told me it was the steering shaft rubbing on the massive headers that we installed when the car was steered to the right. when steered to the right the engine would shift a little to the left and rub on the steering shaft. that was the noise i was hearing and feeling. They told me they could not fix it. So home i went to do some research. it didn’t take long to get on the forums and see that this was a common problem. and the fix required some modification of the part if you could find anyone to do it. i wasn’t able to find anyone and was referred to Franklin automotive. i went in described in detail what the problem was and what the recommended fix was. all i got back from them was «NO PROBLEM».
When they go my car in and put it on the lift they saw that the exhaust was not put in very well. rubbing on cross-​members, part of the frame and differential. they took it apart, hung the exhaust correctly in all the hangers, bolted and clamped it correctly (because you could hear the exhaust was loose or just something was wrong, i thought it was just that way because of how massive the exhaust was). Franklin Automotive took apart my exhaust and re-​installed it. made sure there were no clearance issues. everything good and tight. modified the one tube of the left header for necessary clearance for the steering shaft. and all this done in 2.5hrs. for a whopping $ 200.18
They could’ve really went to town on me if they wanted to. when cars are modified the «by the book» times go out the window. and there are no guarantees that your modifications will work properly. that’s why you see the tv shows that require modifications to get a little modified so everything fits. Franklin Automotive did me right when they could’ve done me in for THOUSANDS. These people are the most honest garage I’ve ever met. They have earned my respect and they are my garage of choice from now on. Great great people.

I followed the owner from his downtown Milwaukee shop to Franklin. What’s good about this place? Honesty. When something is broken, they fix it at a fair price. When something is not broken, they tell you that it’s not broken, and don’t jam you. From fixing my old ’91 Camry, to saving me big money on my old truck’s transmission, they have always been honest. When my 2004 Mazda 3 didn’t pass emissions, one shop said it would cost $ 450, but Franklin saved me $ 200 on that repair. Now, they are doing restorations on hot rods, but that’s just a side business. You won’t regret going to Franklin Auto.
