Specialties
Chapman’s II specializes in a marinated flank steak — served in a sandwich or on a salad. They also still serve the previous owners signature chicken salad with craisins and toasted pecans. The Historic Food trolley from Franklin Tennessee is happy to be back and mobile for the first time. We are having our Grand Re-Opening after our renovation at the Main Street Festival on April 25th and 26th in Franklin. We look forward to Meeting You!
History
Established in 1922.
The original trolley was located in Downtown Franklin square from 1922 to 1946. We have available the new 2nd edition of the book «Meet Me At Chapman’s Pie Wagon» by Rick Warwick at the Heritage Foundation. It is a unique photographic history of the customers during the 24 year time period when the original Chapman’s was open. Each page contains photos of the customers from the 20’s through the 40’s — with their signatures. The recent food truck trend is really nothing new — Chapman’s will be celebrating their 100th anniversary in just 7 years! We look forward to Meeting You At The Pie Wagon!
Meet the Business Owner
Scot K.
Business Owner
Scot is the latest owner of the Chapman’s Pie Wagon in Historic Franklin, Tennessee. His background is in the banking industry but his passion is food. Scot and his wife, Becky, have 5 children that enjoy helping prepare the food served in the trolley. He grew up in the Brentwood /Franklin area and went to Grassland Elementary, Northside Junior High (before it was Brentwood Middle School) and Battle Ground Academy. Scot attended UT Knoxville for his first 3 years of college and finished up at Trevecca in Nashville. After 20 years of working in several banks in Nashville, he worked with his wife to start a home based business for about 7 years. After that company was well established, he then had the time to then «live the dream» as they say and start his own food truck business. The Perkins family was doing a great job reestablishing Chapman’s II in Franklin and were ready to pass the torch to someone. We are so glad that Gwen felt that we were the right family for the job.
