Support your local businesses. I didn’t have a five star experience but I also didn’t have a one star experience. If you are choosing a contractor /​adjustor to work with you during a claim do your home work, communicate and expect to own a fair share of the process.

Still not finished dealing with them. They did pay for the things that they lost, but not enough.

I had my floors redone after water damage. Restore was recommended by the flooring co. as movers. They moved my stuff out, warehoused it and then moved me back in. Almost all of my wood furniture was gouged or scratched. My pots and pans were piled and stuffed into the cabinets ready to fall out. The drawers had contents poured into them straight from the boxes. Shoes and measuring cups and bowls were in the utility closet. All of my books were piled on chairs. It took me months to get my place back together. And the «professional» guys who did the work were less than interested in the move. They charged over $ 6800 and my place is a mere 800 Sq ft!!! It’s a one bedroom condo. Restore is a rip-​off! Worse company EVER. Do not believe it when they say they guarantee their work.

My parents’ house had a pretty bad fire last year and Restore did an AMAZING job restoring it. They were willing to work with my parents (who are not the easiest people to work with) to get the house not only to back to the way it was, but definitely made it better.
Chris, the project manager, was great. He’s patient, reliable, and always communicative. Even though I live in New York and my parents are in Chicago, he always kept me up to date on the progress.
Restore definitely made a horrible situation a lot easier.

I was given a referral to contact this company for a plumbing leak and the damage to drywall in a few condo units. Not only that, but a couple of units to replace windows. So two different items to five them business. A gentleman named Tom came out and was super nice and said he would quote both. Then nothing. A few days later I had to check in only to hear, «I will have that over later today». Then the same over and over. A week later, «I will have that over tomorrow». etc. etc. We are talking new windows in two units and a smaller job ($ 1500-​$ 2000). Its a decent amount of business to not even get the time of day on a quote. Just simply tell me you won’t quote this or its not up your alley. etc. Fine… i can move on. But he kept saying he will have it over. Finally, after a couple of weeks, after I called of course, he said it was a low # for the drywall/​plumbing repair and to just call a contractor to fix. Umm… isn’t that you? haha. Anyway, we moved on and are spending about 25k on windows in our building and the drywall job at about 2k. That’s a decent amount of business I would think. It was just a waste of time when it could have been avoided. It seemed pretty clear that once they knew it was not going to be a certain amount through insurance, it wasn’t worth their time. Keep that in mind when you call them.

My wife and I were totally panicked when our basement flooded, not once, but twice, and through a recommendation, we called in Restore… They were at our house in Arlington Heights within 40 minutes… with a full team of exceptional personnel… their work was fantastic, reassuring us that everything will be fine with them on the job… they removed walls, carpeting, had all clothing taken out and cleaned… and boxed and stored everything else until the total remodeling was done… GREAT JOB, GREAT COMPANY, GREAT PEOPLE… Thanks Mike, you and your company are the best…

(Owner if Restore came to my house to check on my family & progress of work) very, very caring-​personal service & entire staff (I worked directly w/​5 different divisions of their company-​Augie, Dave, Mike, Larry, Brian) administrative staff-​Nicole-​consistently provided quick turn-​around & professional service. ALL STAFF worked very well with my home insurance rep. & offered a seamless process when working/​communicating w/​each other. Entire staff were also all very, very, patient with me throughout the entire process from beginning to end. A little background, I had a house fire with a lot of smoke & water damage. I had countless questions throughout the process. They were amazing & provided me with the peace-​of-​mind I needed at such a difficult time in my family’s life!
