Lazy Moe’s

This place was right in the middle of a festival that had streets blocked off so I thought I would stop by for lunch, they had an out side booth but I wanted to cool down and I went in to the restaurant. The idea of Mediterranean food sound good since I don’t have it very often.
With the festival and there booth outside and with all the others vendors the place was completely empty so not any people in my pictures. This place might be new because it was very fresh and clean looking. It had nice booths and tables on the tiled floors with lots of light wood and colored walls, see the cool painting on the wall.
I had no service issues and everyone was friendly to me, even the cook in the kitchen made it a point to talk to me and say it would be just a couple more minutes. The menu has plenty of good looking plates, there is a picture of most of the plates so you can see what you will get. I opted for the mix grill to get three dishes in one for a better idea of the food. The mix grill is a chicken kabab, beef rib eye shish kabab and a ground beef kufta kabab. A yellow rice bead, hot pita, small salad and two sauces complete the meal. The red sauce is spicy and the white is tahini which was good, tasty with a crème cheese texture.
First off the mix grill smelled fu#%ing amazing, I love when that happens.
The meats have a nice grill flavor with the chicken and beef kababs marinated which gave them a nice flavor. The chicken and beef kababs were tender and moist to my liking. The orange chicken had a nice citrus flavor. The rib eye kabab was tender with a nice grilled flavor and my favorite. The kufta kabab «spiced ground beef» was flavorful and not dry either. The yellow rice was my idea of perfect rice, that perfect texture which is not mushy but firm with individual grains and no sticking or clumping. The rice was good and complemented the dish well. The salad was a stripped down version of the Greek salad which was ok, no feta cheese but everything else.
Overall this was a refreshing lunch with the spices and citrus flavors of my meal. I thought the food was fresh and of good quality to my liking, the mix grill was a great choice. I would definitely eat here again.

Ive been wanting to try this place for a while. I tried to call in my order at 5:45, when i get off work but the person who answered the phone didnt seem to thrilled. I asked if they were still taking orders and he said they were closing up. I said that was fine and he back tracked. At that point i didnt want to order knowing the food wouldnt be prepared with any tlc. I went back the next day and found the food was average. There was only one person running the restaurant. He was taking orders, picking up the phone, and cooking. He took my order but got it wrong the first time. Probably because he picked up the phone in the middle of taking my order. He fixed the order abd the food came out in about 15 min.

Was not impressed at all, falafel was bland and gross. The sauce that came with it tasted like nothing. The chicken schwarma was so so and the fries were cold and nasty. Wont be going back.

Still kind of new, they don’t know the menu or what’s in the meals. The Greek salad was about the size of a medium dinner salad made up of headlettus, a few Greek olives, onions chopped cucumber & tomato. Had to ask for the dressing and silverware. The grapeleaves were good, sauce was interesting, not bad.

First time ordering delivery here. I ordered whole chicken but did not receive a whole chicken. It was barely half a chicken. I am dissatisfied with that part of my order. Shawarma sandwich was good.

We were invited to a birthday party and they had catered shawarma and falafel sandwiches from here. So good! Everything was fresh and flavorful. Too bad I don’t live as close as they do to here. But we loved it. Check it out!

Man this place is great for lunch. They give you generous portions and very good quality food.
The price is pretty darn awesome also. They have a few TVs but not really a place I would go to watch TV.
I have been there twice with my customer and they go all the time.

Chicken shawarma plate is out of this world!!! I eat there now at least once a week. Cant get enough of it!!!

Finally a great Mediterranean place in the area. This place is absolutely the best. I have had almost everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. It’s convenient located in downtown Franklin park right next to the Metra station, so make sure to stop in next time you get off there. On to the food.
I don’t normally eat hummus but theirs is amazing, bonus flavor if you get it topped with beef or chicken shawarma. Oh and that pile it on, they never skimp on the shawarma. Their beef shawarma is the best I’ve had ever. It’s so juicy and fill of great seasoning and flavor. Their grilled chicken is also great, very moist and had a nice char flavor. They pair it with a homemade buffalo style sauce that is delicious. I strongly recommend the whole chicken, oh and they give you a ton of rice. I’m not kidding, it’s like 2−3lbs of rice. All of their entrees come with plenty of rice. My wife and I have also ordered the mixed grill and still had plenty of leftovers after splitting it. They also have one of the best lentil soups and you get a great serving for $ 3. The homemade baklava goes fast so make sure you get some. I highly recommend the falafel sandwich. Make sure to spring for an extra hot sauce and garlic sauce. My only complaint on the food was the tabbouleh salad was lacking salt/​seasoning and lemon juice. The prices are also extremely reasonable and all of the food is made fresh.
As for the service, extremely friendly staff. They have never messed up any order and they are always taking the time to talk to you. My wife and I practically order from here once a week at least. Support your local businesses people!!!

Food is definitely fresh and with little to no wait! Pretty nice atmosphere when you aerosol in. Ordered the Chicken Kufta which was great! Cooked fresh and seasoned, which was also paired with rice, pita bread, and a side salad. I definitely recommend coming here to eat.

Truly enjoyed everything I tried tonight. Was surprised at how empty this place every time I drive by. I believe this is a hidden gem, and if you’re up for trying something new i would defiantly recommend it!

Food was excellent! Great flavors and the plates were plentiful. Also really enjoyed the falafel… everyone’s tastes so different but this was light and a bit more airy than most. Tahini sauce left a bit to be desired, but their hot sauce was delish. Service was below average, so they’re lucky the food was on point!

I found this place a couple of weeks ago on some random «I need shawarma in my life!» This place impressed me. The food was very fresh and delicious. The chicken shawarma on point and the rice was moist and tasty. The owners were very friendly and a great value for the money. They give you a generous portion. Support Moe’s!

Highly recommend this gem. The best hummus, chicken kabab and baklava I’ve ever had. Excellent service, high quality, fresh good and great portions.
Family owned restaurant that makes you feel welcomed.
Def have to try if you live in the West Cook suburbs and worth the drive if you’re in Chicago.

First time here, heard about the place from a family member and it was very good.
I’m glad to see something finally being used in this space that sat unused for so many years in my old hometown.
The restaurant is very clean and looks beautiful. The employees are very friendly. I’m not a huge fan of Mediterranean food, but the food here is very good regardless.
Everything tasted fresh and tasty. My falafel sandwich was just a tad on the dry side. Could’ve used a little hummus in it, which I did from our hummus plate.
Speaking about the hummus, it’s very good at this spot. Nice flavor and a good texture. The hummus plate is a no brainier here.
My wife got the lentil soup, which was ok, she liked it, but I don’t like lentil soup in general, so I’m the wrong person to ask about it. But again, it seemed fresh.
All in all, a good spot and I’ll be back when I’m in the area and looking for some grub.

I really enjoyed my time at Lazy Moe’s. The food was fantastic, the service was fast and efficient. It is a very clean joint. The management was on top of their game as well. Came out and checked on all the tables and made sure all was well.
You cannot go wrong on anything you order. I had the chicken kebab plate and everything about it was great, and the portion was huge. My sisters ended up with combo which they thought was perfectly seasoned and cooked. We had many appetizers, but I have to say, my favorite was the fatoosh salad.
You cannot go wrong with this place; great service, great prices, great food and perfect location. I’m Middle Eastern and I know what good Middle Eastern food tastes like. If you want a delicious and authentic meal, definitely stop in for a visit.

The food was amazing! Last night visit in Chicago after 7 – 8 hour walking around downtown all day Saturday this food hit the spot! Will order again next visit and highly recommend this place! Compliments to the chef!

Tried it for the first time. Friendly greeting. Very clean place. Loved the look of the restaurant. Me and my boyfriend tried it for the first time. He ordered the half chicken and i had the mix grill. The food was AWESOME. Me and my boyfriend love going to places with great food and this by far i think is both our favorite place to eat. And thats saying a lot. Just waiting for my next payday and try everything :)
