Really average at best. Nothing ordered was memorable and was more like a meal at a chain restaurant. It was food period. Service was ok but not great and décor was bit worn. Just seemed like a place going thru the motions and not really motivated. With so many other places around I don’t think I will be going back anytime soon.

Love this litlle restaurant, we usually do takeout on weekends and I have had many lunches with my Friends here! When we lived in Wayne we would do Friday night take out for our family of 14 and everyone had their special dinner favorites, especially the Fettuccine Alla Bolognese! Staff is attentive and friendly – Coming for many years

Ok so this place would have gotten 4 stars if it wasn’t for attitudes. Ill start with the good, the food was amazing. I think I licked the sauce of my plate,(or I would have if they didn’t supply use with an ample amount of bread). It was good, I might have had a wet dream about it later, although it wasn’t good enough to remember its name, but that’s probably a personal problem. Regardless their food is spot on, I would come here for a good meal. Were they lost a start was the wait staff. I came here with my soon to be 90 year old grandfather, who has all his wits about him, he asked the waiter to clarify one of the dishes he said as a special, he ask for a simple substitution and he was very forward about something else he wanted. Honestly nothing you wouldn’t expect from an elderly man, and in my experience a mild version of how he can be. The waiter was just very snippy the whole time, almost as if he was joking but we couldn’t tell. Which is great when your hanging out and busting chops with a group of friend, but not so great when your waiting on people and your act as if we are bothering you ordering food,… to eat,… in your restaurant.

The food here is what you’d expect from a nice east coast Italian restaurant. The chicken parm was amazing. It wasn’t caked in sauce and had just the right amount of cheese. The dinner salad we ordered had lots of chicken and very fresh lettuce. The portions were also very generous. Can’t wait to go back.

Great place for lunch. Love the homemade papardelle and shrimp with red sauce, I had a delicious veggie lasagna which was light and flavorful. Service was excellent.

Not a good dining experience. They sat us right on top of another couple which would have been fine if it was packed full… but it was empty. The Ceasar salad tasted like mustard and was not creamy at all. I ordered the penne and vodka sauce and it literally came with 4 small pieces of chicken. The sauce was good though. The special also came with only 1 small piece if shrimp, yet came to $ 25. We never once got asked how the food was, and the staff of 5 men, watched over us like a hawk as we ate our meal which was creepy. Don’t bother wasting your money at this place… not worth it all. There are much better Italian restaurant in North jersey.

Do yourself a favor and save your money for one of the 100’s of other great little Italian restaurants in northern NJ. I had the scallops and shrimp over home made pasta… the sad thing is the sauce and pasta were amazing. However, for $ 22.95 you would expect more than two scallops and one shrimp that were cut up into little pieces to make me think that it was a lot. My wife was charged $ 5 extra for chicken on her penne alla vodka and I would be surprised if a quarter of a chicken breast made it on the dish. Additionally, the service was awful as we were greeted grumpily, no one even asked us how our meal was or if it was prepared satisfactorily, and the only time the waiter cracked a smile was when he dropped the check on the table. It’s sad because the chef is very skilled

Great place! Yes… the tables are close… you have to wait sometimes in a very tight anteroom and the décor is marginal at best. But… the food is excellent, the owner and the waiters are very friendly and helpful and it’s BYOB! Love BYOB! It’s casual dress, which is nice. I’ll take great excellent food, a reasonable bill and friendly people every time.

The photos of the restaurant on their web site tell the story. The place wants to be fine dining but the banquet style chairs were a downer for me. Service was nice enough and food came out of the kitchen promptly at lunch. The current menu lists pasta Alfredo as an option but I asked for carbonara(which it turns out was a regular on the old menu). The waiter was happy to accomodate my request but the carbonara which was served was disappointing — wet with cream and lacking in black pepper. I was not happy. My friend had the lasagna which was fine. I would try more of the menu.

Solid Italian BYOB. The regular menu is typical, but the specials are interesting. Tight seating is a drawback.

This is one of my favorite local Italian spots to go to. Their pappardelle and shrimp special is one of my favorites. Always treated like family when we go.

Ate there for the first and last time, this evening. The worst food ever. The mussels were like rubber and they can’t make a simple marinara sauce. Absolutely everything lacked seasoning. The décor is horrible. Totally negative experience

This place has the best eggplant parm outside of Brooklyn hands down. Its thin and beautiful. It’s a don’t miss everyday meal. My whole family orders this every time we go.

My wife and I love this restaurant, the food is great, prices are reasonable, and the servers are great. We have eaten there about 25 times in the past year, its our go to place. The owners are ALWAYS around working and greeting, very nice guys. A couple of my favorite pasta dishes are the seafood Fra Diavolo, and the shrimp with cognac pink sauce.

Yes, I agree with the other reviewers. Food is good mostly; the waiters are very professional; the tables are too close together. We used to come here alot and took a break for awhile to try other places, but started coming back recently. it’s your basic BYO. Pluses, there is plenty of parking, not always a wait, there is a liqour store next door and the location(even though it is a storefront) is very relaxing. I think they’ve added some more tables and probably should have gotten a little bigger place. The tables being too close together are not an issue when it’s not that crowded but even when it is crowded I was never turned off the place. Had a very good fish special one night. Another night had the Zuppa Di Pesce, which was ok.

I agree with Todd. Food was excellent but the guy at the next table saying F**K every 15 seconds ruined the meal. It was impossible to tune out the conversations because the table spacing is too close!
