For the totally opposite experience of either buffalo trace or woodford. Check this out. Two man operation in this old style Kentucky tobacco barn produces some seriously good bourbon. Hidden gem with very little internet presence, totally worth the drive from Lexington/Frankfort/Louisville. Just keep going across the one lane bridge when you are close. You are in the right spot. It’s at the end of the gravel drive way.

WOW! We went to Buffalo Trace Distillery which was nice but we wanted to experience a small craft bourbon distillery close by. We were impressed and enjoyed the tour. Since the distillery has been open since 2013, they actually sell an awesome petit white American oak charred cask with a cask plug and stand to take home with you and continue the aging process. I just love it and am giving it as a Christmas gift to my son. It ages in around 8 months due to the much smaller size. The cask is approximately 8“L X 20″ circumference of barrel X 5′ W X 8″ H on the stand. I think this a creative venture and we can’t wait to taste it. The cost was $ 90. for a mini cask bourbon barrel. Good luck and we wish you well with your new adventure! Thank for the tour and information. They also had other spirits there but we wanted this one.
