Great store that smells delightful(Maple Toddy, to be exact). My complaint would be that the lady working the register was on her phone the entire time and it was dinging loudly(presumably a received text message). It seemed as though her phone was where her attention lied, rather than four customers, wanting to spend money on a date where large businesses gain the monetary benefits, rather than a small business(Black Friday). My thought was thought was that it was tacky and unbusiness-like.

I’m not a huge fan of primitives, personally. I think a lot of people can make their home look really great using that style of décor, but it doesn’t work for me. I do, however, like to mix in some rustic pieces with my more classic style. Simple Thyme helps me do that. I’ve purchased several items here — a custom made coat rack(I like the one in the store, but needed one slightly larger), a window turned into a hanging shelf, an old door that was remade into a corner shelf. These items really add a nice touch to my home and I get complimented on them frequently. The owner, Michelle, put a lot of love and effort into her business. She is constantly adding new pieces, redecorating the store, and posting ideas to her facebook page. There’s always something new to see and oohh and ahhh over. The store is a great addition to downtown Frankfort. Simple Thyme accepts credit card and cash. They also have a lay-away option for some of the more expensive items. Be sure to check this great store out & support a thriving local business!
