This place is very deceptive it’s Leica it looks like a sitdown restaurant but it’s really just fast food McDonald’s Burger King level of the food is terrible like McDonald’s or so I would say so I can’t speak to that person however these are all being in this frosty mug and just really love the frosty mug and has a nice atmosphere so devoted to you that you showed us up if I could drink and going back there after I forget how about the atmosphere and the sitdown restaurant on so deceptive I just feel like I’ve been calling and W is essentially fast food with the length of a condo would not recommend boy

I’ve been coming here for 7 – 8 years. This is the most consistent food and service in the area. Not«fine dining» but great for after the beach or a good morning breakfast. Lunch is always good with great root beer floats. Sounds weird, but try the olive burgers and cheese curds.

My family went to A N W recently and we go there every time we go on vacation in northern Michigan, the food has always been good and the staff has always been friendly.

I usually don’t review chain or franchise stores. Why bother? They are just a cog in a corporate machine, and I’d rather throw words down for a place that is locally-owned. However, this particular A&W is an exception. This is not your typical fast-food joint that you see attached to a Long John Silvers or buried in a food court. This is a small-town diner that reminds me of the A&W restaurants of yesterday; one where you can pull up and eat in your car, or come in and take over a booth. The food is good. They’re not reinventing the wheel. Burgers, fries, sodas, etc. Nothing new, but the quality is good. Service is good. Prices are good. What sets this apart from your run-of-the-mill burger joint is the ambiance. It’s not retro, it’s just how it’s been for decades in Frankfort.

50 min wait, one refill. Crap food. Had to get our own menus. Very bad experience. Never going back again

I guess I am the opposite of the other reviewers, a hater of root beer who enjoys the food here moderately much. Meaning to say, it’s fine. Chicken dinner on a Sunday, nom nom nom. Baked or fried, plus salad/roll/mashed taters. I’ve had smoother taters, but I don’t mind lumps, tis no big deal. Decent gravy on the taters, salad-meh, chicken, yum yum. Overall, a-ok, plus you can get breakfast all day. Plus, the restaurant is located in the lovely town of Frankfort. S’all good.

A&W is fun for the experience of ordering at the old-fashioned drive-in and having the tray strapped to your car window, but the food is nothing special. Root beer floats are decent and the waitresses are really sweet and efficient. They also have an antique car night once a month during the summer, which is kinda neat.
