Wendy is really amazing and I highly recommend her. I walked in over a year ago with a mullet… terrible moment for my old hair dresser… she has patiently worked with me on repairing it. I can report no more mullet/​Dana Carvey Wayne’s World! She also colors my locks with an eye for the natural look!
The salon itself is warm and the people are all nice and friendly. I always appreciate their efforts and understanding when it comes to making appointments and accommodating my usually late arrivals!

I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years, and the weekend before Christmas while I was getting my hair done, another client walked out/​stole my only winter coast & leather gloves. They did call everyone who was also in the salon with me, but NO ONE confessed to the theft. I then called and asked to speak with the owner, Colleen, to see what could be done to compensate me for my loss (mind you, the salon must have insurance for these situations) I left 3 messages with the receptionist and NEVER HEARD BACK from them at all. All I was asking for was call back to discuss and got NOTHING. I’m sad to leave my longtime stylist, but I will never go back there since I was not given the common courtesy of any type at all regarding what happened.

I have short curly hair, and Colleen does an amazing job each and every time!

My first time to Strands, but it won’t be my last! Colleen was very attentive and knowledgeable. I’m always worried and nervous to try a new salon, I’m ones of those finicky blonds who just wants the color to be bright and fresh, and that is what I got. And the cherry on top was a great cut and blow dry! I’m very excited to find my new salon.

Moving to Boston, I was nervous about finding a new hairstylist. I did a lot of research in areas near me (Cleveland Circle) and came up short. I stumbled across this salon while in Framingham for the day and needless to say have found my new salon. Wendy is my hairstylist and she is SPECTACULAR. I had a rather difficult hair situation. I am a natural blonde who has been consistently dying my hair dark brown for some time. I implemented a lot of red over the summer and decided I wanted to go back to a more brown color to do the ombré look with blonde ends. She did a fantastic job. My hair went from a flaming reddish-​orange to a beautiful cascade of dark brown to blonde ends. I will be coming back to this salon consistently and recommend you do, as well.

Ashlee fit me in over a long weekend just in time to get my hair done before family photos. Very happy with the cut, dry/​style and price! Great value here, can’t beat it. Listens well and follows through, thanks!

Beth Frary is the best. I have fine, straight as an arrow hair that I always want «fluffy» with «tons of body». Beth humors me but tells me it’s never going to happen and then gives me a great haircut that works with my hair type and that I really like. I recently started coloring my hair and have loved the results both times she’s done it. Everyone at Strands is really friendly and they also do a great job on eyebrows. I’ve tried a few different people there (mainly because I can’t remember who did them last time) and always am very happy with the results.

I have very fine, straight hair. And I’ve had super long hair for most of my life. After taking the plunge and having most of it cut off when on holiday, I ended up here after a recommendation from a friend. I was VERY happy with the cut & color I got from Beth. She’s fabulous with the scissors, and made my hair look like it actually had some body and movement. And when I say my hair is straight I mean it — I had it permed once (back in the 90s!) and the perm fell straight out. She really listened to what I said about what I wanted. I told her that I had no idea about how to style or blow-​dry my hair, and that I honestly wasn’t going to do more to my hair than just wash it and brush it. So she gave me a cut that looks fabulous after you just run a brush through it!
Anyway, I’ve been to other salons since (because I really can’t resist a good groupon!) but I always come back to Beth, because she makes my hair look so fabulous.

I’m sure these folks give a good cut … If they ever get around to touching your hair. I arrived on time for a 6 p.m. appointment with Kim, who informed me she was running 15 minutes late. Well, 35 minutes later I was still waiting and she was still working on the other person’s hair with no end in sight. So I left. Total waste of time.

I highly enjoy my visits to Strands, I have Carol doing my hair and she is a real gem, very funny and personable. But most of all she is not just a hairstylist, she is a real artist. I got so many compliments from my cut and it has been over 8 weeks since I’ve gone and it still styles so well. When you call the salon everyone is friendly and it sounds like a fun atmosphere in the back. A very enjoyable experience.

Okay, I went here due to the excellent reviews and I will say I was thoroughly impressed with Wendy & her color skills. May hair came out beautifully and she did exactly what I asked, my only problem was the $ 160 price for a partial foil & haircut! OMG sticker shock! The other reveiws said «moderately» priced, I am saying WAY over priced so that is my only complaint! Unfortunately I cannot afford them but will recommend them to anyone who can due to their excellent service, warm friendly atmosphere and they are pure genius when it comes to color & cuts.

I have slightly wavy, slightly curly hair that is difficult to cut. I love Strands and will never go anywhere else to get my hair cut.
Pam is an amazing stylist and the cuts she gives me are wonderful. I can often go 6 – 8 months without a recut. Yes, months!
I’ve paid in the past upwards of $ 150 to get my hair cut, however the cuts I receive from Pam for $ 50 far outweigh any of the more expensive cuts i have had.
Highly recommended. I think Pam is especially good with curly or wavy hair.

Strands is a fun and warm salon. The staff is loving and very professional. I have been going to Colleen for years and she is the only one who has ever done my blonde hair correctly. I look so natural and the color lasts without turning brassy.
It is the most reasonably priced salon I have ever encountered. They use and sell great products.

I trust only Colleen to do my highlights. i have black hair so hair stylists have to be careful not to make it look yellow. i leave very happy and confident in myself because my hair looks great! the space is welcoming and the other hair stylists are friendly. colleen is great because she talks to you and offers advice on what color and knows EXACTLY what you’re trying to describe. She’s very experienced and i believe the other hair stylists are as well.
