I was driving for work, and the hunger pains hit. The problem is that I wanted to work straight through without taking a break. The answer? Rest area. For some reason I was craving pizza, and that is exactly what I got. The slices are a little pricey, but they were huge and this IS after all a rest area, Surprisingly the slices were decent! I would have liked more sauce on them, but the crust was pretty awesome! Thin crust, it had a surprising crispiness that I really enjoyed. I would definitely come back here again for a mid afternoon bite to eat. This is a me thing, not a them thing, the girl that was working there was a little hard to understand because of her accent, and because I was on the road I was in a super rush to get my food and get out. But she kept going on and on about the receipt, which wasn’t bad, she was just being pleasant, but I REALLY wanted to get out of there and was having trouble understanding her so I was trying to not get annoyed. I think that in general if everyone was like her we would always have pleasant shopping experiences, but just be forewarned! Also, my pizza was lukewarm, I don’t know if there is a way to fix that problem next time I stop by.

This is probably not really the Original Pizza of Boston but the meatball subs are delicious. Meatballs were juicy and flavorful — definitely not overcooked while having a light and fluffy texture. The marinara sauce was fresh, tangy and reasonably fresh. Not overly cheesy and served hot, too hot if anything. The sub roll was a little too small for the entire operation but given that I was having an unexpectedly delicious moment, it worked. Surprisingly good and worth a try considering the other options available at this service stop.
