My heating system went on a Thursday night called them on Friday they were not sure if they could make it out until Saturday they ended up coming out on Friday mid morning gave me and estimate to replace my furnace the price was right and they said they would be able to install it on Saturday, They came on Friday afternoon installed my new furnace and came back on Saturday to follow up with us and then install a new thermostat. I would highly recommended their services.

Excellent Company to deal with. They provide live phone dispatch, keep you informed of the expected arrival time and the tech is very thorough. In my case it was Dan, who had to tackle a difficult Buderus GB142 issue. The service call was two-​fold, day one was mostly diagnostic in nature to understand the problem (boiler shutting down overnight, no heat). Dan spent a couple hours performing this service. On day 2, he came back with more information, diagnosed a low water pressure problem and repaired the boiler. He also took the time to look over the entire system and made tweaks here and there to minimize any future issues.
Because of the way my call was handled, I will be signing up for their annual maintenance program. Obie’s is a very reputable company in Framingham, and I would not hesitate to use them in the future for my heating and air conditioning requirements.

I checked out their reviews on Unilocal and wasn’t disappointed, prompt service, diagnosed the problem, provided a quote and fixed the problem within 24 hours. Dan Roderiques was our technician, he did a great job, explained everything and showed me the problem and offered the service at the membership discount upon signing up for the application that includes future cleanings and maintenance. The discount paid for the membership application. Great job!

We’ve used Obie for more than 3 years for our HVAC systems in our historic house. On every level Obie and his team have exceeded expectations and delivered service that is first rate, going the extra mile to provide excellent work.

I was disappointed with them. Last winter during one of the worst cold spells my brand new heat pump failed at night when it got extreme cold. The company that installed it was not available so I called Obie. I had a good experience with them with a gas heater in my rental home. The first guy that came out could not find the problem. We hoped it was a weird blip with the heater. It wasn’t. The next guy that came out told me he had to call the manufacturer of the thermostat. It was a holiday (president’s day) so they weren’t answering. He left and said he would call me when he got the answer. He said the system either did, or didn’t, have a lock out problem — I didn’t really understand. He never called. What he did do, was put «Obie Comfort Solutions» stickers ALL over my heater.
The company that installed the heater came out and found the problem. It was wired in a particular way that saved money but would cause it to fail in extreme temps. When I asked why it was wired that way because I didn’t authorize that… they could point to the fact that they don’t know what other HVAC people (pointing to the obie stickers) did. Which didn’t help my argument that they should have done the service for free because it was their mess up.
I really WANT to use them because when I call I get a real person and they do call me back and they usually can come out the same day. They also have an amazing notification service where you get a text and e-​mail when they are on route. But I will have to think twice if I can’t trust that they can diagnose the problem.

Had a not-​working AC and called Obie. It has dispatcher so you won’t be hearing automatic reply machine or voicemail. Every phone call I make they have some body picked up and talk to me, which is awesome! From all other contractors I’ve called I only get voicemail and not even a call back. The service was good, technician was professional, care for his work, really digging into the real cause, not just get things working. They have some coupons on their website, ideally I should give the coupon to the technician at the beginning of the work but I didn’t know that at that time. But they still applied the promotion for me afterwards. They are a very professional and reliable contractor and I would definitely use them again or recommend to my friends.

Obie was absolutely top-​notch. We bad experiences with two other AC companies and Obie was a completely different experience. Practically immediate response time, not wasting any of our time, with excellent organization of their company. Jason, the dedicated phone support guy, was available whenever we needed him and completed tasks so quick. Real delight. Obie came personally the same day we asked for a quote. He is awesome. Super polite and professional, and he gave me a price for the whole installation right on site.
PRICE: Obie beat everyone else hands-​down. They installed the Mitsubishi system (best ductless system) for about 65% of the first quote that we got.
Then the installation was top-​tier work. Impressive attention to detail and dedication to quality. Everything looks beautiful and we have a sweet AC system.
You are making a mistake to use anyone else but Obie. They are terrific.

Obie and his crew installed a mini-​split and a whole house a/​c this summer at my house. They’ve been a pleasure to deals with. Went out of their way to resolve my ac issues. I would recommend them highly.

This is an honest company! I called them to repair my oil boiler cause it had died in the middle of a freezing night and for a small fee they came to look at it. The technician told me that all I needed was a tune up and sure enough he got it back to perfect working condition! They never tried to sell me anything! They did though offer me a very fairly priced maintenance program which I am definitely signing up for. They were also very informative about the Mass Save program which is going to make it possible for me to install a super efficient and much cheaper to run heating and cooling system since I can’t get gas in my street. Obie will be installing this system for me in the fall. I definitely recommend this company!

In our previous house in Ashland MA I’ve used a number of different HVAC companies in the past 25 years, but none that I like as well as OBIE. We Moved into a different house in Framingham last year and recently and a friend recommended us to use for our HVAC needs. We use Obie to replace our furnace air conditioning, water heater and also install a Nest smart thermostat. I can’t speak highly enough the quality of service and workmanship we received. Obie is responsive, punctual and thorough.

Obie and his crew did the system in my house and in a rental property I own. I thought the work was excellent and that they did a great job creatively thinking how to get heat in some of the rooms on the 100+ year old rental property (no small feat). A+

Obie Heating and A/​C saves the day and the long weekend! BBQ-​check, drinks-​check, guests-​check, humidity-​check, broken central air-​check! We called a few places and no one was available to come and look at our system until at least two weeks out! We understood it could be a small job, but we were willing to pay a premium. This company agreed to not only come out last minute, they diagnosed and fixed our issue quickly and charged us a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend them.

Wow. This is the worst HVAC company of all time. How do we even begin?
We purchased a new home this summer. New homes in MA get a 1 year warranty on anything that goes wrong with them. Obie was hired by the builder to check the system before we moved in and to maintain if it breaks.
Well, in the middle of July, after we move in, when it’s almost 100 degrees out, our A/​C turns out to be broken. We contact the builder who says the HVAC people will be over soon. Almost 2 weeks go by and we don’t hear from anyone. After more calls, the builder finally gives us Obie’s contact info directly and we set an appointment up to get the A/​C looked at.
Of course, they never show up. That’s no show #1.
Another week goes by, and Obie shows up! …To install into the unit next door. I go out and ask them why they haven’t shown. They say «oh, we’re the install people, not the maintenance people». What the F?
After I harass them some more, they finally came out to look at the A/​C. Guess who shows up? One of the same guys who was «not a maintenance person». Sigh. So after at least 4 weeks, the A/​C is finally fixed. Yay. We hoped that would be last of it, but no, oh no.
Fastforward to a few weeks before Thanksgiving. It starts getting cold, as it is wont to do here in New England, and we turn the heat on. Surprise, the heat does not work on the second floor at all, and keeps turning off on the first floor every few hours and needs to be manually restarted. So we call Obie to come out and take a look at it. We agree on a day and time and huddle up in the meantime.
Time we agreed on comes and there’s nobody here, surprise surprise. No show #2.
I called no less than 6 times before Obie finally showed up to look at it. They worked on the first floor a bit then took a look at the second floor. The first floor they claimed was «fixed», but the second floor apparently needed a new part to fix it. So we agreed on the next business day for them to get the part and come back and replace it. Sounds good, right? Oh, but I should have known better.
About 5 weeks later, I leave two dozen phone calls and get no replies to my messages, and it’s now December and even colder than before. The first floor heating is still having problems and the second floor heat is still broken. This results in our pipes freezing (fortunately not bursting) two days before Christmas. Merry Christmas from your local HVAC company!
So I call yet again and finally get ahold of Obie. I scream bloody murder about the pipes and they agree to come out the next day. They don’t. No show #3.
After Christmas, we call again and they agree to come out the next day in the morning. They don’t, of course. No show #4.
Finally, finally, they show up again to fix the second floor heat. Guess what? It’s the wrong part. Oh but don’t worry, they’ll be out again on Monday (today) to fix it. Yeah, guess what happened? No show #5, of course.
I’m done. These guys are the worst. Ever. Of all time.
