Fuller Middle School

This is a review of the structure; not staff because I cannot speak to that.
The building should have been closed when it was supposed to be closed. . back in 1991 because it was «sinking.»

Fuller Middle School is one of the three middle schools in Framingham. Walsh and Cameron are the two others and all three move up and into Framingham High or you can select Keefe Tech.
There are other private middle schools available and the McAuliffe Charter School as well.
Fuller is a very big school since it once was a High School. That said, there is plenty of room for all of the students.
They offer lots of activities including recreation, clubs, fitness, drama, music and so much more.
They group the children by grades into colors and each team of colors has a team of teachers.
So although the space seems large the students are usually in the same area for their classes.
They have a 6 day rotating weekly schedule and a rotating daily schedule. It may seems confusing at first but the students do get use to it very quickly and move about the day and the week quite smoothly.
This is a wonderful option since they won’t have the same class each day at the same time. As we all know we can all be worn out at the end of the day so this rotation gives each class some morning and afternoon time.
They offer French and Spanish for language and do some very cool projects (in all their classes).
Many of the teachers have a variety of electronic resources to help teach the students during class and help you as a parent follow their work, projects, tests etc.
Emailing the teachers, the guidance office, staff, and/​or principal is helpful since it is a direct line for more info and/​or clarification.
The morning starts early since the buses transport all the kids in town so the HS students are first out, then the middle school, and lastly the elementary kids are dropped off.
With Middle school out goes scheduled parent teacher conference. This can make it a bit tough when working schedules don’t mess. If you want to meet with your child’s team of teachers. There is no particular day or time so if you need or want to then call the office to set up an appointment. They will set up a time when the team is not in class to meet with you.
School begins in August and ends mid to late June (depending on snow days) Don’t buy any supplies as each student will be given a list of items to get in the first week (or so).
They coordinate an orientation for new students coming from the elementary school and those going to either Keefe and/​or Framingham High School. They are only offered at particular times of the year so if you happen to miss it you can all any of the schools for a tour and some information.
Middle school can be a tough time for parents and students. We’ve had our ups and downs as do many parents with teens so be proactive and get involved with the school, class, with the teachers, staff, and find out how you can help and support your child as they transition into young adults.
