Into model rocketry and add a high and low end drone into my business and leisure.
Tim, Jacob, and Jerome know their stuff and then some. They give after sale support that you can not get elsewhere.
I buy all my compliments there. I save myself so much aggravation by not buying the optimal part. Plus their inside tricks they you can not learn on YouTube on Amazon astound me. I know because I have searched for them there after learning them at the store.
Go in and feast your mind and your eyes. Everything they carry is slightly different than the next model and they know why. Tell him what your needs are and they will get you the specific right model, so you’re not buying additional model needlessly.

Went in to research UAVs for taking photographs at work and the staff was helpful and extremely knowledgeable. They even offered to let me take one for a ‘test drive’ outside. In addition I was tempted to pick up one if the many other things they have including AWESOME RC cars. Great place!

Very cool store. Definitely more into the Drones than anything else but they had it all. Very impressed when Tim introduced himself. Obviously since two days later I still remember his name. However it was so crowded and busy that I felt overwhelmed and left without purchasing or asking my questions. 4 stars all day long.

If you want to sit around a Costco table trading cartoon fantasy-​creature cards, move on. If you want a sweet RC that rolls, flys or floats. Or maybe you need to get one of those working again. This is one of the few places that can really help.
Staffed by friendly chaps and having large supply of vehicles, parts and knowledge RC Hover’ Hobby Quarters is a hobby shop straight out of my childhood memories. No coins, no cards, no fabrics just wall to wall trains, planes, cars, trucks and helis.

This is a quick follow up to a prior review of RCHover. These guys continue to ROCK! I had a few Rc questions and we spent a ton of time doing a deep dive on my issues, and at the end, they forwent selling me $ 100 in parts, but helped me come up with a $ 10 solution to my needs! I just can’t say enough about the service these guys offer, let alone the prices they charge for products.
They have a ton of cars, boats and trains going now, but still service heli’s (of course)! While I was there, there must have been a dozen car folks in, all asking odd ball questions, and from what I heard, the entire staff was carefully listening to the questions and really doing their best to help everyone.
I don’t work for them, know them personally, or have any reason to promote them other than the fact that they really know their cars, heli’s, and airplanes, love the hobby, and really want to help anyone walking in the door!

This place is the real deal. They have an endless selection of heli’s, planes, cars etc. The owner is a friendly cool guy that genuinely wants to help you out. He offered to make some minor tweaks to my new heli’s programming in my DX6 to make it fly exactly how I wanted. That kind of knowledge is priceless. Plus the icing on the cake is that they are directly affiliated with Horizon Hobby! Go check this place out, you won’t be disappointed.

Went into the store for the first time with my son and his friend and family. I was big into the 10th scale racing scene with my Dad back in the late 80’s. It’s been disappointing over the years seeing local shops fail for various reasons. These guys here have renewed my faith in the brick and mortar hobby shop! Wonderful service, huge selection, and friendly faces is what you can come to expect from this fine establishment! I’m hoping to get my son excited about the great hobby that has brought me such amazing memories, and I’m confident that the folks at Hobby Stop will help me do it!

I’ve been wanting to get into quadcopters and eventually FPV for awhile now. I decided I’d start small with a small ready to fly quad. I stopped into RC Hover at about 3pm on a Saturday. The place is jam packed with product so I was a bit into overload mode. I was greater by someone fairly quickly and I immediately mentioned that I’d like to get into quads and wanted a small quad and gave him a model I wanted.
They had the model, he pulled it down and handed it to me. I started asking questions about quads and FPV and asked about things I needed to start down that road. I had to probe him and ask questions. I didn’t really get the guidance I was looking for.
I proceeding to walk to the checkout counter and the man there was staring at his computer and just started ringing me up, without acknowledging me at all. Prices were decent in comparison to online. If they have something in stock, it’s worth picking it up there instead of waiting.
I left happy because I had what I was looking for, not because of the service. Long gone are the days when a brick and mortar store can sit back and succeed. If you don’t provide a service or offer guidance, all you are doing is putting product on your shelves and hoping customers decide (for whatever reason) to shop there versus online. There was no experience here.
I’ll be back, not because of the glowing service but because I’ll undoubtedly crash the quad I built with products I purchased online, and I’ll need a prop or two on the weekend.

Great guys. Great service. Had a faulty reciever in a plane I had just bought. They replaced the plane and made sure all was working before I left so no disappointments. I drive over an hour to get here. Way better than any other store I’ve been to in NE!

After driving by this shop for several years, I knew right where to go when my sons R/​C monster truck needed a new battery. Unfortunately they no longer make the type we need. The guys working in the shop told me to bring the whole unit in with the new type of battery that we found and that they would find a way to make it work.
I returned 2 days later and the shop was very busy. A man by the name of Jim helped us. He took the time right then and there to find the proper clip needed and he soldered the necessary wiring and clip into the unit. Its like a brand new unit.
Not only were these guys professional and knowledgeable, but they were super friendly! This is going to be our new favorite toy/​hobby store… see you guys soon!

Best hobby shop I’ve found in the area. Large selection (cars/​trucks, trains, boats, helicopters, planes, etc), decent customer service, horrible prices.
I’ve been in several times, usually weekends, and it’s always busy. It can be difficult to get help, but once you’ve got their attention they seem knowledgeable.
It’s always an overall mediocre experience, but there aren’t really any other options. If you need a part and you’re in the area it’s definitely worth a look. If you don’t want to wait for shipping, it’s your best bet. It feels good to support local brick and mortar businesses, but when just about everything in the store is 25−50% more than any on-​line retailer, it’s kinda hard to justify. If you’re going to spend more than $ 50 you can probably get an order shipped overnight for less.
I have NO clue what’s up with the track. There’s a dirt track next to the shop, but it doesn’t seem to be maintained or ever used. Their website says they run races in the summer and that you can buy track time on off days, but I’ve never seen anybody there. They’ve got a rock crawling course that looked brand new a couple summers ago, but is now completely overgrown with bushes. Maybe if everybody who reads this stops in and asks when the next race is they’ll actually run one.

Went here an hour before closing on a Tuesday night looking for a new model rocket. Despite Rick H.‘s review, I was not greeted warmly or assisted. My girlfriend and I were the only ones in the store and the owner just sat behind the counter doing his own thing.
After a few minutes of looking around there small model rocket section (Wrong again Rick H.) I asked the owner if he had a particular type of rocket, at which point he told me to look in the Estes catalog. Not amazing customer service.
Prices were a little high, selection was mediocre. Based on this, next time I’ll be ordering from Estes directly.

Unlike some other local shops, you’ll be greeted warmly and assisted immediately. Whether you’re looking to get into a new hobby, or support your existing ‘habit’ they have friendly staff that’s knowlegable about RC planes, cars, trucks, boats, and Helis. THe also have a great selection of trains and plastic model kits. If you’re into model rockets, they have a complete selection.
Highly recommended.
