What a wonderful staff. Nathan was incredibly helpful and willing to walk me through each and every step throughout my leasing process. In two days, my room mate and I had keys, clickers and we’re moving all of our things in. The complex itself is clean, quiet and easily accessible for guests. It’s a real family oriented community. Really happy to be here.

I just moved in and on the first night noticed roaches in the kitchen and downstairs bathroom as well as roaches and ants in the upstairs bathroom. I alerted Nathan in the leasing office of this problem via email so that it would be documented and he responds saying that none were seen in their inspection and that they treated the apartment after the last tenant moved out. He said that their pest control company was closed for the weekend and that they would get back to him Monday… essentially saying deal with your roach infestation over the weekend yourself. I wrote back saying this was unacceptable and that I did not trust their inspection given that there were food stains on the kitchen walls, bug feces in the cabinets, yellow stains in the carpet and a bubble in the linoleum flooring. He has yet to respond, clearly he is not in on the weekends and doesn’t car that tenants are living in roach hell!!! It is now Sunday (I moved in on Thursday) and I am staying in a hotel!!! I never unpacked, I sprayed in the kitchen on Saturday, sealed the cupboards and under the sink myself, placed bait out, and roach gel. The last straw, I fogged the place myself today only to get home to roaches crawling around the kitchen and on the living room walls. This is clearly an infestation and the staff at Valley Park leaves it’s tenants to fend for themselves.

We moved into valley parks about 3 years ago. It is the safest and cleanest places that you could live in. Nathan is such a helpful, friendly and caring person, he was always allerted to fix any issues and inconveniences and he was definitely a life savior.

Just like Hyun S. said. The entire Valley Park staff is very friendly and helpful until you tell them that you are moving out. Instead of receiving our deposit back we were mailed a BILL!!! We have never ever received a bill… We had our move out inspection done with a maintenance staff member and some girl that i had never seen there before. The maintenance person said that everything looks perfectly fine and clean… So why am i receiving a bill? Granted, the carpet was looking a little bad so i understand being charged for that but when you charge me $ 276 for a cleaning fee after we spent 3 days inside of our empty apartment scrubbing EVERYTHING from top to bottom, you are either dumb or blind. Do you even question the bills given to you by the 3^rd party cleaning crew??? The charge for painting is also ridiculous since the entire bottom floor was recently painted by VALLEY PARK’S STAFF because of a 2^nd floor bathtub leak we had on different occasions that would drip down into the dining area… but no discount or anything on that «little incident…» FYI if you stay inside of one of the town homes at the main entrance be on the lookout for mold growing on the bathroom ceiling… not cool… and hopefully your blinds will stay attached… mine would just fall off every time you open or close them.
In less than one year we experienced:
a broken water heater that soaked the living room carpet and my daughters play area.
a refrigerator that had to be unplugged and thawed out from time to time.
2 2^nd floor bathtub leaks that would drip down into the dining room, repairs on each occasion took several days with carpet fans running all day in our upstairs closet and in the dining room pointing to the hole that had to be cut in the ceiling…
Just beware and look around before deciding to sign a lease here…
I do not normally write reviews but I just had to on this place…

We moved into Valley Park Apts just shy of 2 years ago. We can not say enough good things about this place. To start, we moved here from Washington state after ibretired from the Army. Due to unforseen circumstances we only had about 1 and a half weeks to get everything together. I spoke with Nathan Flagg when I called the first time and I have never have had someone go dobfar out of their way to accomodate us. Nathan worked with me to get everything done over the phone and thru email so that when we moved down here it was already to go. Such a smooth process.
Since we have been here we have used the maintainace crew a few times (for non emergency work). Said (the head maintainance man) is professional and easy to work with. They have worked with me on my schedule when it was better for me to have them come a different day.
The grounds are well kept and secure. This is a quiet workingmans apartment complex. By that I mean no loud parties or craziness going on.
We plan on staying for quite some time. Thank you again to Nathan Flagg and the staff for making this a wonderful place to live.

Don’t be fooled by a spacious apartment, new carpet, new paint, and friendly staffs. You are going to pay for all of them after you move out. It’s hard to find an apartment that spacious at that price in this area, that’s why we moved in. And yes, the staffs are friendly when you live there. However, when your lease is over, they’ll increase the rent, you wouldn’t want to live there paying that much. So we decided to move out. We thought we were going to receive most of our deposit back, but No! I receive a bill instead. It was our first time receiveing a bill instead our deposit refund. We always got our full deposit back minus the cleaning fee around 100 – 150. So I call the Essex head quarter number listed on the bill. The lady didn’t even say «this is _​_​_​_​,» but she just said «hello» like she was answering her home phone. Then when I started to ask her about the bill, her tone changed to a rude manner and her voice went up. So I told her not to yell at me, then she calmed down a little. She told me she was going to investigate and call me back the next day, but of course she didn’t follow up. I didn’t expect her to call me back when she was making unreasonable excuses for the charges.
So, if you were to sign a lease, think twice!

The Valley Park apartments is like walking into a family friendly welcoming environment. Looked at the complex at the beginning of my search, went to 10 other complexes in area and found myself back at their doors. Looking forward to moving in soon. All the staff is very nice and have residents best interests in mind.

My wife, my two dogs and I have been living here since ¹²⁄₂₀₀₉. We love our apartment, the pleasant weather, the relax apartment size with a nice size Patio/​backyard and the nice professional management that made our stay very comfortable. We wish that they can sell the apartment to us and we can be living here for the rest of our life. The professional management and Nathan Flagg made it very nice experience. The maintenance crew is awesome and they quickly pay attention and respond to any request. They responded to my maintenance request after 15 minutes from calling the emergency number on a Sunday. They came and fix the problem and I learned that this was their day off. I really appreciate all the dedication and the effort trying to make our stay in this community very pleasant experience. We are very happy living here. I highly recommend this community especially with family that own pets. You are going to love it.

I recently moved into Valley Park Apartments and so far really love it here. It has been a smooth transition because of the very nice gentleman, Nathan that works in the front office. He is not only friendly but always there for you when you need help. Nathan has gone out of his way to make us feel at home here and I have to honestly say he was part of the reason we decided to make Valley Park Apartments our home. I have lived in a few different apartment complex’s and have never come across an office staff that was as nice and accomodating as they are here. Hopefully this review will help others who are trying to look for a nice place to live.

My husband and I lived here for about 15 months and really liked it! The office staff (especially Nathan!!!) is very friendly and they were always eager to take care of things or respond to any questions. The grounds are nice, mellow, and always clean. We lived in the back center stretch near the children’s park so we did have a lot of children that played outside by our apartment, but it was never annoying or irritating. It seemed to be mostly friendly families that lived in this complex.
Any time there was a maintenance need, it was dealt with right away. We were given one covered parking spot and one non assigned parking spot. We NEVER had any issue finding parking in the back parking strip by our apartment. Even on holidays!
The apartment itself felt like home. We had a two bedroom, 1.5 bath and it was more than enough room for our family. The living room is huge and the bedrooms have tons of closet space. It is an older apartment, but it was by no means run down or dirty. We never had any bug or rodent issues. We only saw 2 big spiders outside the entire time we lived there. And they were outside so it wasn’t a big deal.
We would have stayed a lot longer, but unfortunately we had to move due to a job relocation. We certainly miss the awesome office staff and friendly groundskeepers!

i have been living here for a little over 3 years and absolutely love it. management understands the needs of its tenants. when i have an issue, i walk in, tell them and it gets fixed, usually within 24 hours, if it takes longer it’s because i work and cant let them in. Alia and Nathan are an absolute treat. i have lived at other complex’s that only want your money and don’t care about it’s residents. We just got new gas barbecues, awesome smells all the time, makes you wanna cook. I live in a 2 story townhouse with 2 covered parking spots, perfect. I have never had an issue with noisy neighbors. Enrique and Said are the maintenance guys, and they always say hello and talk to me whenever i am sitting outside. Kids are always playing around the complex which is always a good thing. Too many kids sit inside these days. I would recommend this complex to anyone looking for a place. Close to freeways, close to mile square park, 10 minutes from the beach, cant beat it.

My husband and I have lived here for just over a year now. We started in a 2^nd floor 2 bedroom and moved to a townhouse after our first year lease was up. Yes, it’s not as new as other communities around (as others have stated) but it’s a great value for the money and the management and maintence staff are wonderful. Management is attentive and really cares that their tenants are happy; and on the rare instance we needed attention from maintenance (always a minor issue) they are prompt to respond and repair the issue. Overall a very good place to live. We’d recommend it.

My family and I have recently moved out after about 3 years of living here. We first chose this apartment complex because of the great location, close to work and close to school and there are a bunch of other great places around as well! (Costco, Starbucks, Mile Square Park). We have been fortunate enough to have had friendly neighbors all our stay who were pretty peaceful and quiet. It was a bit of a hassle trying to find parking after 6 pm though (if your household has more then one car, as they do provide one parking space). The apartments themselves were nice, simple, clean and pretty roomy (all carpets as a previous reviewer stated). They were actually very accommodating and allowed us to add wood flooring (for an additional cost) for one of our rooms. The best part of living there was definitely the staff. They were always very friendly and very helpful! Eventually we had to leave because we needed a bigger place. Overall, we had a great experience living here!

I lived here for a year and couldn’t do it anymore. At first everything seemed ok, the apartments are old, but nicet to live in. Their cleaning job really wasn’t that great, the paint job was horrible, our carpet turned to crap after about a month, all of our blinds were really old and falling apart, and LOTS of spiders HUGE spiders. The parking is really annoying. We lived in a 3 bedroom 2 bath and they only gave us ONE covered parking space and the rest was first come first serve. There is no street parking either so that made it even more complicated. The staff was always friendly, that was about the only good thing there.
