This auto shop is great! They are right by my job and so conveniently located off a main street in Fountain Valley. Barry and his staff are friendly, professional and fast. We go there for our routine oil changes and are affordable. It’s hard to find a great mechanic.

I went there for a oil change and tire rotation and Bob took really good care of me. He didn’t pressure me into buying anything he just told me what I needed and gave me the choice to do the services. They changed my fuel filter and power steering fluid and they did that with a quickness. I recommend this place and I really recommend going to see Bob and having him take care of you, as long as he is there I will be going there!

Just wanted to update this post after recently reading the reply. The overall reply to my post by the owner was false, just the first sentence wasn’t true as I did not want or receive a free tire rotation and had told the mechanic that I had just gotten back from a long trip and that was the reason for my coming in to make sure my car was still doing well, but I won’t get into the other aspects of the reply. After getting parts and labor for cheaper then Purrfect Auto quoted from my fiancés mechanic not only did he fix my vehicle but in the process noted (and showed me as I watched him work on my car) that rags had been shoved into parts of the engine. A total of four rags which he proceeded to take out of my car. Again, in the entirety of having this car, for the last seven years my family and I had only ever taken it to Purrfect Auto for any kind of service to my engine. I can only determine that was their fix to the oil leak that had been covered up on my car. And if it wasn’t their rags (which seems unlikely) I can only assume the great service they had given me all these years since they missed the rags shoved into my engine.

Just found this place passing by and thought I’d try them out for an oil change. Arrived this morning right when they opened and they were ready to go. I was expecting them to start getting things together but I came in and they did the service right away. Straight forward oil change for $ 21.95 + tax. Took about 10 – 15 minutes. It’s nice that the oil service comes with tire rotations too. I opted not to get it this time since my rear tires are starting to go.
Didn’t care too much that they were trying to sell other services but I guess it’s their job but they didn’t push too hard for it.
Will be back if all goes well in the next 3000 miles.

I’ve been coming to these guys for almost 20 years and have received very good and efficient service every time.
Their prices are very reasonable compared to the dealership, and they are far more efficient.
Sometimes I don’t care for them trying to sell me other services, but they are in the business of making money so I can understand.
Even though I now live further away, I will continue to return because I believe in loyalty.

Needed an oil change close by my office so came here for the the first time based on a referral from a friend. I was helped by Willy and another associate. These guys took care of me and were upfront with all the details of my service which included checking all the fluids, tire pressure (I needed that), tire rotation, plus of course the oil change. On top of all that, the price was very reasonable and the service did not take very long (~30min).
I definitely recommend this auto shop. Its hard finding mechanics and shops that you can trust and based on my experience with Willy and company, I will definitely be back.

I really recommend my Purrfect Auto in Fountain Valley! These guys know how to work on cars! I have been bringing them my family Jeep for some time now for oil changes and service maintenance but recently I had a problem with my brakes not working right and I mistakenly went to a convenient place by my work in Costa Mesa and they wanted to charge me over $ 400 to fix my brakes and they found a lot of small repairs that I had no idea were even wrong. I never paid this much for brakes and decided to drive out of that shop and take my Jeep to Purrfect Auto because that have a good reputation and I can trust them to get it done right.
Willy looked at my Jeep and told me that my rear brakes were fine and I only needed front brakes. Purrfect Auto fixed only what I needed and didn’t try to charge me for what I didn’t need. I saved over $ 200! And most importantly, I feel safe knowing that I’m back on the road with my Jeep and it rides great! I am glad that I found a mechanic shop that treats me fairly and get the job done right!

When you drive a car with over 275k on it like i do, you tend to learn where all the good, the bad, and the ugly are in terms of repair shops.
I have Google to thank for that
Radiator here, Rotors there, tune up over here, oil change over yonder… so, if-​so facts-so.i get around with my piece. What does this mean? I have experience not only with dealerships, but also the other smaller shops that tend to «pepper» Orange County.
My thoughts/​opinions after a few maintenance fixes here:
1– I detest dealerships and shops alike that take advantage of hard working people, and I have visited my share of them with my car issues. This is not one of them. They were honest and «real» with me about what needed to be done. No sugar coating, just boom. here it is.
2– When i say i have finally found a shop that gets my money, i mean it… THIS is that shop, by and far. I felt taken care of and in good hands. Car issues are stressful, believe me… i know.
3– Apparently the owner has many family ties to the military??? I believe he was busy with other customers on my latest visit but at least that’s the vibe i got from other visits. I’m a vet as well so i can appreciate «veteran friendly» spots and good conversation.
4– There are a few things I consider when taking my car to a place: Skill, honesty, and cost. If these things are met, a shop has my loyalty… and this place has earned my loyalty… even loyal enough to send my girlfriend there for a 60k service on her hybrid without me even being there!
The Pros:

The Cons:
I now live in San Diego, so i have to drive allll the way up to Orange County to these guys. hopefully i never need to have my car towed lol… wish they were closer.
In Conclusion:
I have the repair shop experience to call it as i see it and have zero complaints about this place yet, not even from the referrals i have sent. I’m happy i finally found a shop i can «settle» with, its relieving!

I have been taking my vehicles to Purrfect Auto for over 10 years. I started going to them on the recommendation of a friend and I have been going to them ever since. I normally get an oil change or normal maintenance. They go over my car from top to bottom and spot potential problems and recommend fixes before they become big issues, (even if they can’t do it themselves. I appreciate their honesty.
The wait time is usually pretty quick, but I try to get in there first thing in the morning after I drop my kids off at school. The waiting room is clean and there are always magazines to read, which I appreciate. Overall, a good, reliable place to take your car.

I came here for a brake fluid bleed and change. They were friendly amd prompt. I’m very touchy about my car. After they finished, I couldn’t find a finger print or smudge anywhere. Plus, the price, at $ 60 was less than half the dealer cost. Thumbs up.

The gentlemen are cool & informative. The location is near a couple of storage facilities. Lots of great deals for you’re car. Free tire rotation.
They have indoor & outdoor waiting, tv & refreshment dispenser. Restroom is clean. Come early during the week. I’m usually in & out in less than 45minutes

I live right across the street from this place. I always come here for oil change, and they provide prompt and professional service at a great price. Would recommend.

I go here because its near my workplace and they have a decently priced oil change at $ 23. One thing you do have to watch out for is that the mechanic will always try to sucker for adding or doing an extra that you won’t really need, such as a transmission flush or brake fluid change. If you come just for the oil change then I would say check it out.

One of, if not my biggest, pet peeves in the world is being ignored. Drove up here on a Saturday morning. No parking at all at this place. I park behind one of the cars in the bay. I go into the customer area, no one there. I see someone in the garage. They look right at me and they ignore me. 15 minutes later I leave. Useless.

Do NOT come here. I came here for a simple oil change and they ended up damaging my radiator without letting me know. I noticed a very strange smell about 10 minutes after I left the place and before you know it my radiator was smoking from all the coolant that leaked. I don’t know how they managed to damage my radiator but it cost me 300.00 to replace it.
