These guys are the best! Larry, And Mike do a super professional job. We had rodent problems in one of our commercial buildings and they came out, gave us a fair quote, and began extermination process very efficiently. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone.

They were very good came in and got my rat problem solved in one week and there prices are very fair. The people were very professional at there job. I highly recommend them if you need someone. Thank you for doing a great job.

Would highly recommend if anybody needs a quote and to get the job done efficiently these are the guys. I had drywood termites in my bedroom and got a quote and pest cleared within 2 days. The customer service is excellent and how thorough all the employees were to my question had me feel at ease through the whole process.

Even better than as good as it gets. The service this company offers is beyond exceptional. Having gotten estimates from 2 other services which were both 4 times as much money, we turned to Preferred Pest Control after they carefully and thoroughly came out and assessed our rat problem. They took care of the problem and went above and beyond to fix some areas that weren’t initially noted in the inspection without further cost. Liz at home office was always very pleasant and on-​the-​ball when she called to make follow up appointments, working with me and our crazy schedule. She was always professional, friendly and accommodating. The rock star of all this was the service from the technician Mike. He always called before hand to let me know his delivery time. He was meticulous in setting traps, explaining the process, recommending ways for improvement, carefully following up and making sure our problem was solved. He is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful and thorough in what he does. I am truly amazed with this company and their customer service. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

I called Preferred and spoke with Larry, a manager/​owner?, who gave me a competitive price, scheduled my rat extermination service within a day of calling. Eric the tech. guy came out, did a thorough inspection, and put out the traps. Very professional job. I recommend them highly for your pest problem.

Talk about fantastic service! I called them on Monday afternoon and by early Wednesday morning Eric was at my door.
He performed a thorough inspection both inside and outside my home — and explained his findings in a way I could understand. Throughout the service call, he was the perfect balance of professional and personable. He was considerate and asked permission about accessing different parts of my home.
In addition to Eric, Liz (my contact for scheduling and paying for the service) was great. She was friendly and prompt with all of her responses.
They are my new go-​to people for pests (bugs, rodents & other creepy-​crawlies).

I’ve been using Preferred Pest for over a year. We had ants in the house and Preferred put us on a subscription program that has kept our house ant-​free. They take care of not only the baseboards and entry points, but also the outer ring (outside thresholds & decking, etc.). And, they monitor the premises every 2 months. I gotta give these guys 5 Stars.

Im very glad I called preferred pest control. I give my self some time to write this review to brag about the wonderfull services I received when I called Preferred Pest control the money I paid was worth the time and the work. I was impress by the service how clean the job was done and how efficient and professional they are. I own couple other properties that now they will taking care off (servicing) pest control.

We are selling our house and are required to have a termite inspection completed, so I decided to use Unilocal to look for recommendations. I called Preferred Pest Control and they quoted me over the phone that they will do a free termite inspection with written report, just like other termite companies told me over the phone. They said that they do free termite inspections with written report because they hoped that the customer would choose them to do the work if termites and damage were found, based upon their written estimate in the report. They said that if no termites were found and no work was required then they would charge $ 100 for the termite clearance report. I agreed to allow them to do the free inspection with written report of our house. I never agreed to pay any money to Preferred Pest Control to do a free termite inspection.
Three other termite companies also came to our house and did a free inspection with written report. Within a day or 2 we received via email the free inspection written reports from the other companies. We did not receive anything from Preferred Pest Control.
Three days after Preferred Pest Control did their free termite inspection I received a phone from them saying they charge $ 100 for a copy of the inspection written report. I told them that is not what they told me when I called them, they told me it was free. I told them that I am not paying them $ 100 when all other termite companies that I called told me that they do termite inspection with written report for free. I told them not to send me the report and I am not paying them $ 100.
I called Larry who did the inspection and is the manager. I told him I never discussed with him nor agreed to pay any money for him to do a free termite inspection. I asked him several times why he did not say anything to me when he first came to my house and before doing the inspection that he is going to charge me $ 100? I asked him why did he not ask me to sign a document or work authorization stating that he was going to charge me $ 100 to do the inspection? Each time I asked him these questions he did not give me an answer. He said that if I do not pay his company $ 125 they are going to put a lien on my house. I told him if he puts a lien on my house I will fight it and I will sue the company. I never agreed to pay any money to Preferred Pest Control to do a free termite inspection.

I appreciate you apologizing for any confusion. Obviously there was a lot of confusion and misunderstanding on both sides during the August 21, 2015 phone conversation. Before scheduling with your company I also scheduled with 3 other termite companies. None of them charged me to do the inspection. Respectfully, why would I agree to pay your company $ 100 when the other 3 termite companies did the termite inspection for free? It does not make sense to me to pay $ 100 and that is why I did not understand nor agreed to pay your company $ 100 to do what other termite companies do for free.
Additionally I stayed with Larry the whole time he spent at my house. When Larry went into my attic I went with him. Larry only went a little way into my attic and only spent a few minutes. He did not inspect my whole attic. He was in and out very quickly. He did not give me a verbal report nor a written report. I received nothing.
When the other 3 termite companies did their free termite inspections I also stayed with them the whole time they spent at my house. Each of the other 3 termite companies did what I thought was a thorough and complete free termite inspection of my attic and provided a free written report and estimate to perform work. I received nothing from your company.
Let me ask you the same questions that I asked Larry several times yesterday on the phone, and he did not answer. (See my post yesterday for these questions.) Why did Larry not say anything to me when he first came to my house and before doing the inspection that he is going to charge me $ 100? Why did Larry not ask me to sign a document or work authorization stating that he was going to charge me $ 100 to do the inspection? There was no discussion about money.
Every other company that I have ever had at my house they always talk about how much money they are going to charge me for their services and they always ask me to sign a paper approving the charges. Why did Larry not tell me he was going to charge me $ 100 for his services, and why didn’t he put it in writing, asking me to sign and approve the $ 100 charge?
I never agreed to pay any money to Preferred Pest Control to do a termite inspection so please do not try to charge me $ 100 after the fact. Please be fair.

Only took one wasp sting to bump this project to the top of my home fix it list!
It’s rare when I’m blown off my feet with amazing customer service but these guys lit me on fire! Got the referral from my gf/​groomer at Claws n Paws where they’ve maintained both her shops and home for years for all kinds of critters. She refers them all the time for fleas. I don’t have fleas (good thing) but gigantic wasps nests were on my upstairs balcony… Come to find out also on the eaves, garage door, chimney, upstairs railings, courtyard and back yard. 8 in total. The one that really got my attention was a little smaller than a dinner plate outside my bedroom slider. The fix it list is long, don’t judge!
Start to finish:
I called and the sweetest gal answered the line, was very professional and quoted a price quickly of $ 75. It didn’t seem in line with other quotes I’d received so I asked for one of her guys to call me back. Didn’t want for either of us to be surprised at the scope of work or a potential up charge. (Their regular price is less than half of competitors even after Unilocal/​coupon discounts)
He got back to me within 30 minutes, confirmed the price and said if more nests were found when he arrived they too would be included in the $ 75 fee. I grilled him, poor thing! We have dogs, an outdoor pond with fish, a turtle and an African grey parrot that all needed to be considered in the treatment process. He was patient, understood my concerns and explained what products they used and that the other animals wouldn’t be affected. So I booked it. Tuesday between 1 – 3 with the tech giving me a 30 minute away call so I wasn’t in house bondage (like the cable company does!!!)
Day of: I couldn’t be at the house but my teens were up for handling the appt solo. I called and let them know/​asked if we needed to reschedule and they were fine having the kids «take charge» so long as Sergio didn’t enter the home. He would only go in if someone over 18 was present. Nice! Kids said he was awesome, professional and not creepy (that was a biggie for me) and they found a couple more nests on the hunt. All was done and tidied within the hour. Not one up charge!!!
Follow up: I walked the whole house today and it’s clean, free of dead and fallen wasps, no smells and only a few confused wasps trying to remember where their house was. Since I wasn’t there to pay yesterday I called in my cc# and she’s sending me an email receipt to accompany the invoice for yesterday. Really couldn’t have been easier. Thrilled and posting review of my own accord. Unilocal was not mentioned once but imo this review was necessary. Totally blown away!

HONEST COMPANY!
We are floored by this company’s honesty. The staff who came to help us didn’t charge us a single penny because he was unable to get rid of the problem. He did a lot of work in the house and even used his own stuff, but he still did not accept any form of payment.
Here’s what happened…
We called asking if they can help us with bird problems in our house. Birds are pretty cool, but not when they live in our attic and we could hear them day and night chirping and scratching. It was driving us crazy. One of their staff came and did exterior attic work in order to close any possible entry from unwanted birds and other pests. While he was up there, he found 3 birds. He was only able to remove 1 bird and was unable to access the other 2. He was honest and told us that he didn’t feel comfortable charging us for unfinished work. We wanted to pay him because he dud patch holes and removed 1 bird and he worked for at least 2 hours. But he still politely refused ^_​^.
I recommend this company!

Here’s an update from last posting…
The owner, Marcy, reached out to me after reading my posting on the issues. I was not a please with one of the comment that was stated on their; however, after her response and speaking to her, I’ve decided to give it another chance. Marcy was able to schedule me in on Saturday and even compensated me by offering an additional treatment.
Larry Castillo (technician) showed up on time and was so thorough and friendly. His service was spectacular. The only thing I have to say is that, I was not aware of the additional treatment; which I was told by Marcy that she will make sure that it was noted on the service so that there won’t be any issues. I know its not his fault, he’s only going by the work order he is given. As soon as I told him about the treatment that Marcy offered, he called her right away to confirm; which for me, I think it was great. I’ve seen where techs or customer reps would argue with the customers. Thanks Larry for the superb service.
I can only give Preferred Pest Control a 4-​star rating due to the work order not having sufficient information; especially when a customer has already had problems prior. It is a huge issue for me. If it wasn’t for Larry… who knows what would happen.

My handicapped mother a widdow of only five months and married for over fourty years has been in need of good and kind people around her. So when it came time to fumigate the family house, it was really difficult for her. She just moved back into the house today. There is one Preffered employee who has been outstanding and just super nice with her. Larry Castillo has been reassuring her since the benning of the process. He was very patient with her calling a number of times with many questions. This is a good man. Today, as the tent came off our house, Mr. Castillo came to finalize things. This was the first time I had the opportunity to meet him. Like everything I was told, he was very nice to her. He was extremely respectful and reassuring for her. With everything involved in fumigating a house, it has stirred up a lot of anxiety for poor Mom. «Take a deep breath and know that everything is safe and clear now,» said Mr. Castillo. Well done sir!
The fumigation sub-​contractor Dr. Fume Inc. did a great job too. There are some hedge plants right near the house and they managed to save them. That is good customer care and is greatly appreciated.

I was very impressed with this establishment from the moment I called to get an estimate. They are very professional and I never felt that I was being mislead. I was on the phone less than 10 minutes. The owner Larry came out to inspect our home the very next day because apparently my neighbors were having the same problem with rodents and had already scheduled an appointment. gotta love Unilocal.After Larry’s inspection he took pictures and confirmed there was definitely something living in our attic. After reviewing the pictures I was flabbergasted at the condition of my attic but appalled that there was evidence of rodents. Larry came out the following day and placed some traps out in our attic and cover up all possible avenues for the rodents to enter. Larry also quoted us to repair, clean up and put in drywall. Wow!!! master of all trades. So far very pleased with the service we have received.

Larry Castillo was very nice and super professional during his inspection. I would recommend him and his company to anyone needing termite inspection.

Spoke to Rachel on Monday, Mar 2^nd, 2015 regarding inspection of home. She was very polite and courteous. I explained that there are noises in the kitchen area, and that I would like to get an inspection as soon as possible. Said the earliest appointment would be Friday in the morning. Because of the outstanding Unilocal reviews, I wanted to get the job done right, so I wanted to wait until they can come by. She informed me that Larry will be the inspector and will be here around 9−11am.
Today is Mar 6^th, Friday at 11:20am. I called back and informed that no one showed up. The owner of the company contacted me later and apologize for the technical mistake, he would have that issue resolved, and send someone to come over that day to take a look. Eric came over for the inspection and you can tell he knows what hes doing.
Pros :
The owner cares… And staff is knowledgable on exterminating. Does not upsell you stuff you dont need.
Price is competitive. Not highest quote.
They can do some contracting work… So if a drywall needs to be replaced, this company can offer it. I like the convenience and option.
Cons :
Other than the scheduling hiccup, nothing that stands out.

Honest, Trustworthy, Friendly… oh ya, did I say HONEST? Very few times do I write a review for a company that I did not even use. This is one of those times. Ron and Tony came out for a quote and took one look at my problem (bees in the chimney) and said, «we aren’t going to have you waste your money, we are not the company for you.» They explained that they could have removed the bee hive however they would have instinctively returned and built another hive. They told me that what I need is a chimney sweeping company, thus, saving me the hassle and money of repeat bee removals. Hopefully we wont need a pest control company any time soon, but if we do, Ron and Tony are going to be the first guys I call. Thanks fellas and keep up the honest work!

I found this company on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. As with other client expeirenced, Ron came by to inspect my house. He took his time explained my house condition and why I don’t need the fumigation tenting yet. All I have to say is «Honest» people still exists. When I do see termite infestation, I will have this company do the service.
