I went in to order a handgun on Friday, January 22^nd that they had to purchase from an outside supplier. I paid the full $ 900+ amount up front. When I ordered the gun, the man who took my order told me that it would be in the shop, at the latest, by Wednesday, January 27^th and that I would receive an email when it showed up. I did not receive an email that following week and decided to go to the shop on Saturday, January 30^th to see if it had come in. After about 10 minutes of searching for the gun and/​or paperwork, they let me know that it hadn’t come in yet, and claimed that the outside supplier screws up on occasion and that they probably didn’t have anything else to ship with it and would be shipping it «this coming week». I was assured that it would be in the shop by Tuesday, February 1^st… they didn’t contact the supplier and they didn’t do any type of looking into the order to confirm that information.
As of February 10^th, I had still yet to hear anything regarding the arrival of the handgun so I decided to call the shop to figure out what was going on. The person I spoke with said that the gun hadn’t shown up yet and that he didn’t have much more information than that. His boss had left for the day and he would have to have the boss follow up with me in the morning. He promised that I would be contacted first thing in the morning (10AM opening) on February 11^th and they would get to the bottom of what was going on with the order. I did not receive that phone call this morning and I called the store back again at 1:30PM on the 11^th to see if I could get an answer. The same person who answered the phone told me that he gave the paperwork to his boss, but that his boss didn’t have the time to look at it yet. He then went and checked with his boss about the order and after a few minutes, he came back on the line and told me that the best he could do right now was to refund my order because the gun hadn’t shown up yet and it probably wasn’t going to show up now. He stated that the outside supplier showed the gun as «shipped» but that his boss didn’t have time to look into what happened with the shipment because he was busy working on other stuff. To top it off, I now have to go back to the shop to process the refund for the purchase.
The people at OC Firearms have been nice people the couple times I’ve been there, however, they are very poorly organized. I had NO follow-​up from them on the status of my order after it was placed and there was very little urgency to figure out what went wrong with my order. The only contact I had with them regarding my order was that which I initiated. Now, three weeks of my time has been wasted.
I had high hopes for them based upon the Unilocal reviews, but I will unfortunately not be returning to the shop (except to process the refund). It’s a shame as I understand they’ll be moving right down the street from me.

Did 4 private party Transfers, 1 Mossberg shot gun, 1 KSG shot gun, 1 Glock G22 Lower, 1 Taurus PT92 9 mm! Everyone is friendly to the point I always buy them a DRINK from the cooler. All 4 were done perfectly. Had to pay sales taxes 1x. Girlie staff there is hot, too bad I’m old enough to be her dad!!! (:-(

I’ve been here a few times already, the staff is very knowledgeable and resourceful. They walked me thru the entire CCW process and really know the law. I would strongly recommend coming here for all your firearm needs. It was just after the new year and they had sold out of many guns and they did not currently have the Glock I was looking for or they would have received my 5 star review, but I’ll definitely be back when they are better stocked up.

The place was hard to find. The staff seemed preoccupied with something else. Not real helpful when asking about requirements for purchasing.

Awesome little shop. Went in looking for a handgun and they ordered it for me. Took about two weeks to get in. Lowest prices I found on handguns but rarely are stocked, probably the time of year I went. Place is super busy with mostly transfers but they are super friendly and work hard. I’m always greeted and never wait more than 10 mins.

This shop is absolutely amazing. Still has the feel of the neighborhood gun store and not a chain. The good people here make sure you are valued as a customer and they go out of their way to help you with sincerity and open heart.

Great gunsmith and staff! Can’t wait for the new store to open! Very helpful staff unlike some of the other stores. Private party transfers are quick too. This is the only place I go to!

Highly recommended for the first time gun buyer! Like a jerk, I wandered in 5 minutes before closing looking to buy a Sig P226. Everyone was really friendly, knowledgable and enthusiastic. I had my gun picked out, my FSC certification completed, all other paperwork filled out, and an SRT kit paid for in less than 30 minutes.

This place is outstanding. Everyone here is incredibly friendly and knowledgable. No snobby crap you see at other smiths/​gun shops. That alone is a huge reason to come back.
I came in for the simple job of having my night sights installed on my glock. They looked busy, but regardless, Don headed up and I handed him my sights and my pistol. He simply said «be right back» and 15 minutes later he came out with my new trijicon sights on, loctite’d and ready to rock.
I will return here with all my firearm needs that can be handled at a smith/​retailer. Friendly, professional, and fast turnaround time.
Also, I didn’t do much shopping there, but they do have some good stuff for sale… A healthy array of ar parts, pistols (glock, sigs, smiths… The good stuff) and a good selection of defensive ammo and magazines. All at competitive pricing.

These people are ridiculously friendly. Makes you think why aren’t more gun stores like this.

I used to be a regular patron, had some work done here. However, after I moved out of the area, they were suppose to have accessories shipped. 2 months later, accessories never came. I called and ask for a refund — Steve understood the situation and said he would mail me a check. Months later, still nothing. Followed up with email. Called the shop again– Don said he would address it for me and remind him on an email. Again, no response. I used to enjoy the shop when I lived in OC. Now it is more than 6 months as I write this review and I am disappointed at the serious lack of customer service and attention. Still no refund

Great service just pick up my ocar15 from them super nice rifle can’t wait to shoot it Sunday I went on my lunch call them to tell I was short on time and they had my stuff ready to get me in and out fast thank you guys always enjoy shopping with you guys

Went in just trying to get help re assembling my 1911 style pistol. Pitiful I know. But hey, it was my first 1911 style pistol and I was struggling for some reason. Came in, even with a few customers already around Matt came around and helped out right away, told me not to worry, and showed me how to put it back together. Keep in mind, I did not buy this firearm there, but both Matt and Steve still helped out. (Big reason why going forward, I will make my first attempts at purchasing a desired firearm at OC firearms, aside from the fact that they seem to carry some of the harder to find items in the area– check their inventory and you’ll understand)
Expecting them to charge me for the assistance, I asked how much that would be and they told me not to worry about it. Such awesome service and did not make me feel like an idiot about being unable to put a slide stop back in. (I have figured it out now by the way)
Before leaving I did pick up a box of .45 just to show some appreciation for the help. I then inquired about their custom AR’s they had on the wall. Next thing I know I’m purchasing my first AR. Matt and Steve were both really helpful with that purchase, no pressure, and just happy to answer any questions. Kristen was awesome helping with the paperwork. which reminds me, when we were finishing up the required paperwork, Steve and Kristen noticed my un laminated/​unprotected FSC. Steve explained what an unnecessary pain it would be to have it replaced while actually laminating it for me. Again, such awesome service. Another shop did not do that for the older HSC nor did another shop do that for the newer FSC when they issued it. 2 examples of 2 other shops, not going that extra mile while actually charging me for it.
This place is just a really friendly, customer service centered shop that just happens to carry really awesome, typically hard to find and competitively priced firearms.

Went to OCF based on all the Unilocal reviews. I was not disappointed. Great guys and amazingly helpful. I had sent my slide out for some warranty repair and it had come back to me not in the best condition. So I took my Glock down to OCF and they were so understanding of my frustration they dropped everything and worked on my gun. I expected to leave my gun but instead I was out in 10 minutes. Great guys unfortunately the ARs I saw there on the walls are probably going to hurt my wallet…

Long overdue review as Steve has been helping me get firearms for years. OCF has a top notch gunsmith, the prices are fair, work is done timely and correctly! If you are in the market for a fireman look no further, this place will not up sell you and will find the firearm you want at the best price. If you don’t know what you want stop in and talk to someone for a no pressure shopping experience.

Found their site online. Oh great they have what I need. Take a drive and Im helped very quickly. I want to see a MOE hand guard for a moss berg 500. «sorry we don’t have those» You site said they were in stock? «our site and our store keep different stock. «wow thats helpful».
Should I wait for hours at rifle gear? Nah Im buying online where prices are cheaper even with shipping and all i have to do is wait 5 days.
Support small business always bites you in the ass.

So check it out, I took apart my Sig P238 and cleaned it up like I have done several times now. This time I accidentally turned the safety switch to the 12:00 o’clock position after I removed the slide and a little spring flew in to the air and landed on the floor. Talk about a needle in a haystack. It took a while but I found it and again it took a while but I got it all back together.
Then driving down the road a few days later it hit me that there is a good chance that just maybe I put it back together wrong.
So I stop in and the guy stood everything looked at my gun played around with it a bit and handed it back to me. The guy was super busy and super KOOL. I love this place because it’s but a BIG shop full of egos and assholes. My goal is to buy, fix and repair all my weapons here because theses guys deserve it.

Small gun store with a big personality! Great guys and awesome service. Very personable. Not a bunch of wannabe cops like other gun stores! I been here a couple of times and these guys are very personal able and knowledgeable. They offer a great assortment of weapons and accessories; in addition to a full gunsmith in the back.

Wow, how did I not know about this hidden gem… conveniently they are located about a mile and a half from my shop. So I’ve been by there about 3 or 4 times in the last month now. Just bought and paid for a Sig Sauer P938 for CC.
The customer service there is top notch. NOT like so many gun stores where you get major «attitude» from the workers… it’s a small business with solid small business ethics and customer service. AND the prices are really competitive… we’re talking as good a price as can be found online… but in a brick and morter… Yep, it’s my new favorite gun store.
