History

Established in 2009.

With many years of experience in heating and air conditioning, Mechanical Air has grown to be a household name in homes and businesses in Orange County. William learned as a young man how the mechanics of HVAC units worked by going to work with his dad on boilers, AC units and furnaces. In 2004, William started working as an HVAC tech always learning more about his profession. Working with a larger company had great potential, however, William knew he wanted to work on a more personal level with his customers and realized he could tend to their needs more on his own terms as a small business. In 2009, William started his own family owned business catering to single family homes, apartment complexes, condos, commercial businesses and mobile homes.

Wow! We are now (finally) in control of our climate thanks to the wonderful folks at Mechanical Air. We made the decision to have central air installed into our 1958 La Mirada home and got a great referral to this company. Paul came out to our house the next day and the day after we received a very reasonable estimate. Amanda the office manager was constantly in contact through the process. William, the owner, was on the job with his amazing crew and in less than 10 days our old asbestos– wrapped ductwork was safely removed, new ductwork installed, a new central heating unit and a/​c unit and refrigerant lines installed, and we can now heat and cool to our hearts’ content. Highest recommendation for this team of professionals!

I recently was in the market for a new AC and Heating unit. I was referred to Mechanical Air and they were my 3rd quote. They were not my cheapest quote but they were the best quote I felt for for what they were offering and the service and warranty I felt would be in place should I ever need it. So far everything is working great! I did have a bit of a hiccup at the end when I was left with no paperwork or warranty info on my units and it it took some time to get but William came back out and provided me everything I needed. I would recommend them.

We called two other companies on a Friday morning and none could help us the same day when our downstairs unit started blowing warm air instead of cold. William and Frank to the rescue! I called them at 8 am and at 9:30 my unit was fixed. just fuses I definitely will call them again with any issues related to our AC units and highly recommend them! Btw, the bill was less than $ 100. Do not hesitate to call this company for any AC repairs!!!

Had William out to do a proposal for Maintenance on our 10,000 sq. ft machine shop with 50 Tons of AC/​Heat pumps in the building,
While William was looking over the job inspecting units to be serviced he noticed some issues that needed attention so he took care of them as he was sizing up the job, very professional and time conscientious, I look forward to doing business with
this company.
After the job walk through William made some very good recommendations and left with a hand shake. No charge for any of the issues he addressed while doing his scope on the Proposal.

Thats all i have to say… I called William out because I was under the impression my A/​C was broken. Shortly after William arrived It turned out he just had to flip the «Breaker» … Greatest part. He didnt even charge me!!! That truly meant a lot. WIlliam Thanks soo much for your wonderful service. He definitely is my go to ** A/​C guy !!!

My air condition stopped blowing cold air so i found William W Mechanical Air on Unilocal.He was able to come out the same day and ran a few test to find out my AC sprung a leak he explained I needed a hose and a complete charge and explained the importance of service work which i have neglected. thanks for the Great job and the tutorial:)

William came early for my appointment. I had a very old AC unit that William inspected. He told me it was still functional. I had him install a thermostat. It works. He also checked to see which electric meter the AC was attached to. He looked over my furnace and stated it needed replacement. The furnace is old too. Service was good and the charge was reasonable. I know who to call if I have a AC problem in the future.

I have made appointments with this company two times and both times they did not show up or call. When I call to find out whats going on, William the person I have been speaking with, makes up some excuse or says he thought it was at a different time. Maybe one time there might be a mix up, but two times, i don’t think so.
If the businesses work is anything like their customer service, I would stay away from them.

I’m the owner of a property management company and need a few things from vendors that I contact. 1. Answer the phone or get back to me promptly. 2. Fit me into the schedule whether it’s a weekend or holiday. 3. Have reasonable rates. 4. Do what you say and get the job done. Mechanical Air did all of the above on Labor Day weekend for a tenant that had company on the way. With the current heat wave most other HVAC companies were too busy. Mechanical answered the phone, gave me a time to let the tenant know they’d be there. Were actually there when they said. Inspected and actually had the part on hand. Fixed the problem within 5 hours of my first call and had an invoice in my email box within an hour of completion. Tenants were appreciative and my clients were impressed. Made me look good and I appreciate it. Did I mention the price was reasonable? Not even an extra charge for going out on the weekend!

Great service from start to finish! Ask for William! He was friendly, reliable, knowledgeable and responsible. He diagnosed & fixed our old A/​C unit (over 15 yrs. old) in a pinch! It needed a new capacitor part which he had with him (nice that he was prepared) and he installed it the same day as my service call. I had cool air throughout the house within in minutes! No more sweating… physically or mentally! Now THAT is cool! Oh, and he left with, «If you have any more problems, call me back!» Thanks William and Mechanical Air! 5 stars all around! Call them!!!

William serviced our rental property and did a great job. The rental company said the unit needed to be replaced and William was able to fix the furnace for$ 200. We called him out again when we sold the house and even though he was booked and couldn’t make it, he referred us to his friends company who came out and provided service. Good to see that there is still honest people out there.
