We speicalize in a realistic approach to childbirth education. Classes are taught by a Registered Nurse with 10 years of labor and delivery experience. We will teach you what you know to reduce your anxiety and fears. You will feel empowered to make the right choices for your birthing eperience. You will learn that you have the ability to make choices, change your mind, and have the plan that is right for you. We will talk about pain relief options, including epidurals, and pain medication. You will feel comfortable and knowledgable and understand what you will experience in a realistic way. We do not discourage epidurals! The classes are one day, conscise and to the point. You don’t have to spend week after week to learn what you truly need to know. You will have fun, and meet other couples. We also offer a weekend retreat «babymoon» class!
History
Established in 2012.
Started by a Registered Nurse with 10 years of experience. After working 10 years in labor and delivery, I realized that most people come in very anxious and sometimes defensive, thinking that we are there to intervene and ruin their natural birth experience. Most couples come in after taking classes and they truly do not understand what will happen and what their choices are. I want to teach the reality and the big picture of what you will expect. I hear the same statements and questions over and over. I feel there is a lack of education out there and that when the couple is in labor they are anxious and unsure of what they need to know. I am hoping you will enjoy my class and take with you valuable knowledge for your birth experience.

Business Owner
I am a mother of 4 children, and have experienced my own labor with each. I have experienced both natural (without medication or epidural) and epiduralized labor and delivery. I am also a Registered Nurse since 2002 and have worked exclusively in labor and delivery in Southern California for 10 years. I work at a local, very busy hospital that delivers about 500 babies a month. I am excited to be able to educate couples prior to their birth experience so that when you arrive at the hospital you feel reassured and confident about your baby’s birth!
