JD Escrow

Not sure if this is the same JD Escrow Inc that’s in Fountain Valley, but the from Sheila’s description it sure sounds like it. Unorganized, unprofessional, uncommunicative.
They dragged their feet and got things wrong at literally every step of the process. We’re first time buyers but were told by both our buying agent and bank loan specialist that they were one of the least professional escrow companies they’ve had to deal with, and they had to do a lot of their work for them.
Their office is a ramshackle hurricane of papers without even a file folder in site.
You may not have a choice in your escrow company, but if you do, run far, far away from JD Escrow. No idea how they are still in business. I’d call them comically inept if it wasn’t such an important transaction they are holding in their hands.

I have been a Realtor for over 9 years and have dealt with many Escrow companies without any issues or problems. Now I understand what it’s like to deal with a company that is truly unprofessional. My client hand delivered his escrow instructions to the office a day after receiving them. 3 – 4 weeks into the transaction, J D escrow called me to ask when he was sending them. They lost them! When it was time for my buyer to sign loan docs, he had to wait 30 Minutes for them to find his loan docs. They misplaced them also!
The office staff speaks limited English so when my client had any questions, they couldn’t answer them or he couldn’t understand their answers.
If you have a choice, use any Escrow company other than this one!
