Ane Thanh Lion Dance

We hired Ane Thanh Lion Dance for our wedding reception and WHOA WOW AWESOME!!! We wanted a more traditional Vietnamese wedding reception and my husband (Jewish) suggested lion dancers. I had grown up with seeing them during the New Year, but that was it. Nostalgia kicked in, I agreed and found Ane Thanh. If you have any sort of event, hire them!!! Our guests OOH’d and AWW’d the entire time and that’s all they talked about. No, they didn’t talk about my Vietnamese Ao Dai in red and gold, or my traditional white wedding dress… They talked about how amazing the lion dance was to kick off our wedding. Thank you to Michael and Team! You guys did a truly fantastic job that is television ready with acrobatics worthy of Cirque Du Soleil.

Our church had our annual Lunar New Year celebration and the theme was on cultural awareness rather than having speakers like we do every year. The asian population has grown dramatically at our church so we wanted to build community. Of all the groups I found, Ane Thanh was my personal favorite. They were available so we hire them and did not disappoint. What you see is what you get. I read many reviews where they comment Ane Thanh was professional and they were, VERY professional. To my surprise, Kevin, their group leader for the night was AWESOME. I just show him where they need to be and he handle everything. Our goal was to attract as many people to attend the event after church service. It was incredible. They did a short performance to attract the church goers’ attention and the lions climb the staircase to an upper room leading people to the event. Due to the increase amount of people attending, the event started late and the crew was patient. Even after they perform, they were supposed to stay for photos for 10 min., but ended up staying much longer as they were a hit with the crowd. Their performance was AMAZING given the limited amount of space. We normally get 120 – 130 people to this event, but this year, there were 300. It was a successful event. They were engaging with the audience and I would recommend them 100% for any celebration. Matthew, thank you for having an English banner roll out by the lion at the end. It was a special touch. I’ve seen Chinese and Vietnamese New Year words, but never in English. Thank you for fulfilling my request. Your team ROCK and we hope to see you in the near future for other events!

We hired Ane Thanh to perform during our wedding banquet. From first contact many months ago to meeting and the actual performance these guys were kind, prompt and professional. You can even choose the lions you want!
The performance itself was spectacular and truly a highlight of the evening. They dealt with less than ideal situation and very crowded restaurant with another large wedding going on like pros and smiles on their faces.

after another lion dance group fell through for my wedding, I contacted these guys at the last minute. they were extremely professional and courteous. I had them booked within hours without any problems. they also didn’t ask me for a deposit nor did they ask me to sign a contract.
the dance itself was fantastic. beautiful dragons, a great dance routine. they took oranges and cabbages into the lion’s mouths and peeled’em and spit’em out while me and my fiancé sat on chairs on the floor.
everyone loved this dance group and about a dozen people asked me about them after the wedding. I would recommend these guys to anyone for any occasion.

I highly recommend this group of lion dancers! I researched and called 3 others and they were giving me a hard time with traveling to my reception, but Ane Thanh Lion Dance team did not make me sign a contract nor asked for a deposit, which surprised me. PROFESSIONAL team of dancers and RELIABLE!
