Description

Specialties

Ane Thanh Lion Dance is a cultural dance group that performs for weddings or any other special events. The lion dance is commonly misconceived as a dragon dance. The differences is that lions are composed of 2 people under a costume, while the dragon dance is composed of 9 – 14 people holding sticks connected to a dragon. Lion dance is performed during these events to bring good luck and fortune. It is a great way to experience the culture of Asian heritage and expose others to the this unique heart pounding dance to live music and acrobatic feats. Near the end of the routine the lions will display scrolls to the business or newly wedded couple to wish them «Double happiness», «An Everlasting Union of the Hearts» and «A Hundred Years of Harmony» in Chinese scrolls, and we also possess Vietnamese scrolls.
