Here on Summer special. Nice property but ratty sheets in bed required changing, burnt out light bulb, only 1 robe, no towels at the pool. Rough start, 1.5 days to go. ;(

Not happy with our stay. The worst part was the restaurant: I have never before seen servers so overwhelmed that they were literally running in the restaurant. Brought the entrée before the salad. Took ice tea for refill and never brought it back. Took so long to get the check that we paid with cash instead of a credit card so we wouldn’t have to wait more.
As a side note: the casino was the smokiest we have ever been in. Couldn’t wait to get out of there.
Glad it was only for one night.

5-​21-​2016 Took the family back out been a year since our last visit. This review is of the hotel. Upon entry to the lobby we notice that it was extremely clean and inviting. The front desk staff was very prompt in getting us checked into our rooms. The rooms themselves were very spacious and clean. Our trip out to the pool found the same a well picked up area and the staff was attentive to our needs. I will say we will be returning again soon. We used to come here regularly when it was Radisson and can honestly say I am impressed with where they have taken this resort they raised the bar on expectations and have proven they are continuing to set there standard higher. Well done and my complaints to the management and staff. Very professional and personal attention that rates above and beyond.

Sarah in reservations is amazing! She was able to get me a reservation during Mad Monster Convention dates when it looked sold out. She went above and beyond and really came through for me.

I’m definitely looking forward to going back. The staff is great and the restart and bar is really good.
The golf course is beautiful and the drink cart is always insight to help with your swing.
Kudos to the resort staff!!!

We weren’t even staying here but came daily for a convention an even at 10:30 pm when the shuttles weren’t running Vinnie took the extra time to drop us off! Justin was also a great guy an informative when he dropped us off at our hotel in the day! Something the comfort Inn wouldn’t even do for us!

Recently stayed here while visiting Arizona. It was a nice place! I’d come back.
The hotel itself was clean, modern, and comfortable. The staff were super friendly. I appreciated that they were always cheerful. Anything I needed, they were quick to provide — from cold bottled water, to antiseptic wipes when I ran into a pesky cactus outside. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The AC worked very well (which is much needed in AZ!) The pool and hot tubs were nice and clean too.

Stopped here for a lost golf game massage. The Spa is not a full service facility — I.e. They have massage rooms along with a salon. No other facility like showers, sauna or steam room. Hence 4 stars. But the massage therapist was a 5 star masseuse. She was very good and what she does and after it was all done (90 mins went by quickly) I was very relaxed and walked away with a great feeling of relaxation. Certainly try the massage.

I had a deep tissue massage from Alissa at the WeKoPa spa– Amethyst. Best deep tissue I’ve ever had. Not painful at all and she worked out a lot of tension and knots in my neck and shoulders. Great atmosphere. Very relaxing.

Bed bugs here, never stay on Floor 4 or Floor 5. I had bites all over my hand, arm and face that takes 2 weeks to go away. The bite marks were so itchy and embarrassing and stung so bad, it felt like burning cigarettes against my skin. The medicine takes them 2 weeks for them to go away. My Dr Bill was only 120.00 and the Mgr Carla refused to reimburse me. I also saw in
if you put in Radisson Fort McDowell Casino, the old name, you will see other bed bug complaints. I asked other staff there and they confirmed that YES, THIS HOTEL DOES HAVE BED BUGS AND THEY’VE HAD OTHER PAST COMPLAINTS OF BED BUGS. I was very disappointed Mgr Carla has never reimbursed me the 120.00 for the medicine and Dr visit I incurred. Be very careful and never stay on the 4^th or 5^th floor. I had so many bites on the knuckle of one hand, the Dr said if I had waited any longer, I would have suffered nerve damage and lost use of my hand. Bed bugs are very dangerous and I got SO many bites, I know that wing was heavily infested with bed bugs.
I understand now, why they changed the hotel name, but luckily review sites will always show the business address. Thankfully consumers can be warned.
I attached some pics, the bites on my hand were so numerous, you can see my skin discolored and turned purple. I’m lucky to have gotten to a Dr in time and I did miss a lot of work. Staying at this hotel was very negative and costly to my health.

Went on a one day staycation and really liked the place. Customer service was good on arrival, departure and in restaurant, room was a king room. Nice size, fridge with two bottles of water (complimentary), towels soft and bed was comfortable… big window. Wi-​fi was complimentary. Modern furnishings, phones and clock. Ate at the Ahnala Restaurant. Food a little pricey but very good. Had seared Salmon with rice pilaf and vegetables ($ 22). Fort. McDowell Casino in on the premises in another building… smoking is allowed inside… there is a very small section in the back where no smoking is allowed, but you have to walk completely through the casino to find it. It has two pools… I know one is heated. They have outside comfortable seating throughout the resort. The resort is not close to a commercial area so perfect place if you just want to relax and rest.

Great swanky hotel!!! But I have to recommend stopping at the pool! Vandy was awesome so much fun and really takes care of his patrons as they are like friends! Our whole trip was made by Vandy ! Ask for him! !!!

We stayed here for 2 nights through Groupon and I have to say the value is excellent through Groupon. The rooms were small, but adequate and pool facing had wonderful views, but exposed to some noise from pool area. Overall the rooms were comfy and had everything we needed. Front-​desk staff could probably benefit from a class on hospitality management and customer service. We didn’t encounter anything negative, it was more of an underlying resentment that they had to serve us and would rather be doing something else, which wasn’t all that welcoming. I do have to add that we had a lovely dinner at the restaurant, of which the staff were extremely pleasant and personable. Wonderful Food! Excellent live music by a woman named Tina. We will be coming back to the restaurant at a later time that’s for sure! Watch out for stray cattle in the parking lot ;)

This is a nice hotel with comfortable and clean rooms. We paid $ 80 with a groupon, so make sure you check there before making reservations. We would stay at the hotel again. Very friendly at the front desk!

I purchased a Groupon for this hotel for a staycation knowing the area and basically looking for a relaxing stay by a pool with all the basic amenities. I don’t like to write reviews that are so negative but there were some major complains from both myself and my sister which I don’t think should go unnoticed.
There was a serious communication issue between the desk staff and upper management. There were a couple of instances that were eyebrow raisers and from a guest point of view would just be a normal request.
The pool bathrooms had clogged toilets with 2 inches of over flowed standing water for both days of our stay. Because of this unfortunate situation my sister and I had to shuffle through the hotel lobby in our suits to use the facilities there. Now when I’m checking into a hotel and I see people coming into the lobby with their suits on to use the bathroom it gives off a bad vibe. We told the staff on 4 different occasions to fix the bathroom issue and nothing seemed to get resolved.
With our Groupon we received a $ 25 dinning credit. You can’t use the dinning credit at the casino where there are different dinning options. There’s the restaurant across the way from the hotel lobby which it looks nice but don’t let that deceive you. We waited 10 minutes to have someone seat us (there was more than enough empty tables). Once we sat down we waited 10 – 15 minutes for menus and we were a bit unsure who the waiter was. When we ordered both my sister and I are lactose free. Our meals came out with mass amounts of cheese and is wasn’t edible. We sent back the food and when it came back out it wasn’t tasty. We overall were just fed up with the service/​staff/​food/​quality.
We were also unaware of the resort fee wish was charged to our card after we checked out of the hotel. This «hidden fee» is not specified when checking into the hotel and comes across sleazy and unprofessional.
I also noticed quite a few children running around the hotel and the pool area unattended by any adults. They looked like locals and they were using the pool and hotel because it’s not being monitored. To me it should be for paying hotel guests only. If you enjoy sitting by the pool side getting splashed and being a baby sitter/​lifeguard… this is the resort for you, otherwise any type of buzz you have working from that margarita wears off quick.
There were some positive things like the awesome views from the room, comfortable bed and soft sheets. The plush carpets, lots of different seating areas and cultural décor is inviting and makes the hotel memorable. It’s unfortunate that there were some flaws and that reflects my decision to give the resort 2 stars.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. We booked a room here for our Anniversary and we were very happy with the room and accommodations. The restaurant attached to the hotel had good food and drinks and the staff was awesome. We definitely would stay here again.

Lady at front desk looked at me like I was a bum off the street. When I asked which way room 115 was she started treating me like I was gonna break in and steal everything.
My parents were in 155, I made a mistake and flipped numbers. She didn’t help me with figuring that out. But I did figure it out and was on my way.
Room was very nice. Pool and hot tub were right outside room.
Room service took an hour and 20 min and was cold so they had to re deliver everything.
Bedding of sheets was very clean. Nice showers.
No trash can in bathroom was uncomfortable when disposing sanitary items.
This place is way nicer than many of the alternative hotels.

My girlfriend and I just moved to AZ from SoCal and we were looking for something to do in the area and found a nice Groupon for this hotel. We were very pleased with the room, the bed was huge and very comfortable and the room was clean and came with all the amenities you would expect. We just stayed the one night but we had absolutely no complaints about the room itself.
We went to dinner at the restaurant right next to the hotel, Ahnala I believe it’s called. Service was good but the food took a little long. I had the night’s special which included scallop potatoes (great) cooked veggies and rice (great) and grilled white fish that was nothing to write home about. She got a delectable Monterey chicken sandwich that was too big for us to finish, probably because we shared a shrimp cocktail appetizer. Shrimp was big but not overly tasteful. Overall I’d give the food 3 stars and the service 4 stars. We did really enjoy the woman singing covers of popular songs just outside the restaurant. Also worth noting is they have comfortable little seating areas in front of fires where you can enjoy your meal.
Then we went to the casino and had a lot of fun playing blackjack. They have quite the consortium of slot machines if you’re into that. Be prepared if you’re a non-​smoker because the cigarette smoke will punch you right in the face if you aren’t ready. Other than that the casino was a great time. The blackjack dealers were very very entertaining if you want them to be. The gf and I thought they were fun and hospitable, we would honestly go back just to hang out with those dealers.
The next morning we felt like spoiling ourselves since we won the night prior and ordered breakfast from room service which was epic. Delicious French Toast, great omelet, and fantastic potatoes. Even got a little pot of Starbucks Coffee. There happened to be a massive garage sale in the parking lot which we perused and found to be full of cool trinkets and such.
Bottom line, we enjoyed ourselves very much and would definitely go back. I don’t think for an extended stay though. If you’re not into golf there isn’t much to do over an extended stay.

Well, this was a Mess. I booked this place through a current Groupon deal that this business is advertising. It clearly states they are located in the «greater area of Scottsdale», their address on Groupon and the map indicates the city of Scottsdale and specifically the north side. However, this resort is in fact in the city of Fountain Hills. I looked up the actual address and self google mapped it. It took me over 45 minutes on hold to reach anyone to help me with this issue for a full refund. If it clearly stated Fountain Hills/​the true city location, I would not have bothered with this deal. My interest was clearly in the Scottsdale area. I have notified the correction and hopefully other travelers don’t experience this.
