Established in 2005.

We began hearingim​paired​.net when Wayne began to lose his hearing. When our dog Snow began to work as a hearing dog we could not find the proper supplies to take him into public access places so we began to make them. People who were NOT hearing impaired wanted to buy from us for their dogs that were not hearing dogs and they did not want to buy from hearingim​paired​.net — so MrPAWS by Snow was created to provide for all service dogs regardless of their type of service.

Business Owner

Anne Wicklund was born in New York City (1946 —), was raised in El Paso, TX, and moved to Scottsdale, AZ in 1973. After attending the University of Texas at El Paso she began working as a Legal Assistant for various major law firms until 1986.

Anne and Wayne met in Scottsdale, Arizona in 1979. They started Arizona Security Patrol & Investigations, Inc. This company included security guards, a detective agency and later added guard dogs. Wayne went to Elkhart, IN to train at the Rudy Drexler School for Dogs and became a Master Trainer. In 2000, Anne and Wayne bought a White German Shepherd named Snow. Coincidentally at the same time Wayne found that he was losing his hearing. Unable to find ways to let other people know he could not hear, Wayne’s frustration grew — and so the Wicklunds started hearingim​paired​.net, Inc. to develop signage and accessories for the hearing impaired (lapel pins, window decals, vests, door plaques, etc.)
