Love this place! The owners are great and provide great service. They have my favorite moscato here, I’m a happy customer.

Awesome little spot in an awesome little town that used to be retirement based only, but now has a younger population segment. Husband and wife team, and yes that is them behind the bar. I am from over a thousand miles away but could tell this is a local gem. Small but well curated wine selection, if you are like me and love Zin and Syrah, this is your wine stop. You can order food from Euro Café next door and they bring it over.

Love the wine selection… especially the White Blend & Peach Moscato. They have good micro brew beers as well.

We came across this spot during the fountain hills festival. The staff are amazing. Had some great conversations. Great wine and atmosphere.

New owners — they seem like a nice couple. The vibe in the place was definitely better this trip. Hopefully a good sign!

Grapes has new owners. Go meet Bill and Jo. Nice couple and I love the little «extras» they have added to the décor. They have new, very comfortable, patio seating, a great Happy Hour and new snacks. Still great music and atmosphere as always!

So you like wine? I’m a wino and proud of it. This location is a wine bar mixed in with a wine market with a quaint little patio that is perfect for sunsets. The owners are super nice and check on you often, plus this location does not have a kitchen but you can order anything off of the euro pizza café menu (next door) and they get it all ordered and brought to you as if you were dining there. They also have live music sometimes.

I can no longer sit idly by and read such misleading reviews like the one written by Sassy. How dare you make such a comment that Dave and Di are not welcoming and friendly. I’ve been coming to their bar since they took over almost six years ago, and it is the most fun place in town. You clearly haven’t been there on a Wednesday, Friday or Saturday evening when the crowd is having a great time listening to outstanding musicians, and all the patrons are laughing with Dave, Di, or their sons, Chris and Kyle. They always greet patrons with a smile on their face and are extremely attentive, and their Mardi Gras party last night was as good as it gets!

Great place for a happy hour glass of wine. Outside seating has a nice view of the lake. The pizza shop next door will deliver to your table.

This is a great place to hang out with old friends or to meet some great new people. Good wine selection, comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. Family owned and operated. If you don’t live in Fountain Hills, this place is worth a special trip!

3÷18÷13 — walked into an empty place at 6:50 pm and was greeted by the hostess with a «you know we close at 8». That was a turn off and almost walked out but their reviews were so good we were determined to give it a try. Sat on the patio and had a nice glass of Cabernet (District 7 from Monterey, CA). Enjoyed the cheese platter and the perfect view of the fountain.

Remember that place «where everyone knows your name?» This is it. You can show up alone, with your love or with friends and if you are open to fun and new friends, you will find them here. The owners make sure that there is always a great roster of musicians. If you haven’t heard Notes from Neptune, Kyle Phelan, Javier Garcia, Stephanie or Steve Krum, come on down. Sit on the patio, enjoy the beautiful fountain and sip great glass of wine. Better yet, join the Wine Tasting Club and be sure to visit at least once a month. From pastas to gyros, to hummus, to salads and s’mores, you’ll find a tasty and inexpensive meal — and lots of reasons to smile and Just Enjoy Life!

Wow. If you’re into owner-​driven, husband-​and-​wife run, casual and unpretentious yet upper-​class/​comfortable «fine» environs, food, service, wine, and music (acoustic live music 3x/​wk (with no cover!)), the kind of place where everyone talks to/​welcomes everyone yet no one is nosy or cliquish, where the whole place cheerfully claps when Mrs Owner breaks a glass (and someone calls out «it’s earlier than that normally happens,»), free wi-​fi, where you have a nice patio with heaters and a front-​row Fountain view, wine by the bottle from their extensive retail collection or yours — with just a $ 5 corkage (as well as a decent (7 – 9 reds and 7 – 9 whites selection by the glass for $ 7-​$ 10), a great craft beer selection (Union Jack IPA!), couches, nice hightops, an l-​shaped bar, great local artwork (also for sale), this will be your new favorite place.
If you like stuffy, over-​priced, boring, see-​to-​be-​seen places with angry (or no) music, this place isn’t for you.
Second time here and Mr Owner greets me by name. Are you kidding?! Does that happen anymore? And when I say to him «that’s cool,» someone else in the bar comments about how I must be new because that’s just how they do it here.
You can order anything off the menu from next door (Euro Pizza Café) for no up-​charge. Amazing. Get the «Dr Oz Sautéed Veggies.». Trust me.
This place has a great vibe and one part of me hopes these positive reviews don’t result in oppressive crowds, but on the other hand, something tells me they’d handle it with a smile and 5 star service.
