I have yet to find a cemetery in this area I didn’t think was pretty and well cared for. I had visited this one last fall looking for the grave of my mother’s friend and maid of honor. I didn’t find it and found out this trip she is in Mendon Cemetery, Then I found out my other set of maternal great grandparents are buried here. My mother loved both of her grandmothers and named me after both of them. In this cemetery is my great-grandmother Louella, nicknamed Lou, from whence the second half of my name comes, so it was very poignant to be standing in front of her grave, knowing I was her namesake. I don’t know if I have ever been here before, but if so it was when I was too young to understand who they were. I’m glad I now know where they are so I can visit them when I am in town.
