History

Established in 1994.

Todd Steele graduated from The Institute of Natural Healing Sciences in 1993, and began full time practice in April, 1994.

Speciific pain and dysfunction problems became his focus when he suffered a knee injury at the start of his training. His experience of receiving a 90 minute massage, which temporarily cleared the problem, gave him direction and inspiration.

His original interest in treating and resolving trigger point pain problems, which are a common result of overuse and overloaded muscles, has expanded to include myofascial release, and postural assessment, which make solving isolated pain problems more effective.

He has been in his current location since 2001.

«I think I’m the luckiest massage therapist in Fort Worth to have this location,» he says, «the office is quiet, backed by trees and a creek. It is perfect for getting back to yourself, and renewing your perspective. Just walking from your car to the office is relaxing!»

Business Owner

Soon after enrolling in the basic massage therapy curriculum at the Institute of Natural Healing Sciences in 1993, Todd Steele limped into the classroom with a knee injury that he was convinced would leave him crippled for life.

It had happened late in the first walk of a renewed fitness plan, and filled his left knee with pain that prevented him from fully bearing any weight on that leg. It quickly worsened a few days later walking down the hallway at work when Steele turned to change directions; the painful loud crack felt and sounded serious. «Looking back on it, I’m amazed that I gave up so quickly and concluded I would have to live with it, but pain is very confusing,» says Steele.

Charlotte Small, owner and head teacher of the Institute,

wasn’t as easily convinced, but she waited a few days before suggesting he make an appointment with her to address the situation. An hour appointment stretched into ninety minutes, and Steele didn’t feel significantly better lying on the tab
