The Premium Institute of Bartending Schools are the only Bartending Schools in Dallas and Fort Worth Texas that requires every student complete a minimum of a 2-​hour Externship at a local bar or restaurant prior to graduation. These are completed at the mid-​point of the program. This will allow you to actually Bartend in a real bar PRIOR to graduating. This also gives you the opportunity to learn a «Real» Point of Sale System (POS), make real drinks for real customers, and gain experience as a Bartender PRIOR to Graduating for our Bartending Schools. Additionally, we’ve had numerous students hired on the spot during their Externship.

History

Established in 2007.

Prior to opening our Dallas and Fort Worth Bartender Schools, We talked with numerous Bar and Restaurant owners and students from other DFW Bartending Schools in order to make sure we not only taught what students wanted, but what employers demanded. We don’t just put you behind the bar and tell you to make drinks. Our instructors are with you for the entire program. You will be taught using a building block process to Bartending. You will start off with basic techniques and then progress into free pouring, speed building, and bar operations. We are constantly providing you with feedback so we can be assured that you are always aware of your progress. You are tested on the lessons daily to ensure you are on track. With this in mind, we focus on Quality Bartending Training that will give you life long skills. Don’t cut yourself short and settle on anything but the best. We work with each student to ensure they have all the skills necessary to get employment in a Bartending Career.

Business Owner

Owner, David Phillips, possesses over 20 years of vocational education experience, 5 years of direct bartending experience, and graduated from the Bartending Academy in Jacksonville, FL in 1983. With the real world experience of the service industry and the passion for changing lives, David Phillips founded The Premium Institute of Bartending in 2007. He promotes an environment that encourages students to learn more than the basics of bartending. David designed the bartending course to include professional development in addition to the quality, hands-​on training required to learn the art of Bartending.
