Really neat place, but Central Market has a larger selection and Trader Joe’s has much better pricing. All in all, its a cool place. Their store brand has great pricing but otherwise, the prices are much higher than the other stores mentioned. One concern I had is that we were there on Saturday, a usually busy time for grocery stores, and it was empty. I began to notice there is not much turn over on their stock. Some of the veggies we bought we had to «sift» through in order to find some that were not old or past prime. We also noticed on many of their dairy products that they were already past date. We probably will not be back, but it was a good visit. Also note, when you’re checking out their plastic bags are really, really thin. You are better off asking for paper or bring your own bags.

The produce is always fresh and I was told their meat is never pre-frozen! Granted, the food IS more expensive so be aware of that, but i think it’s worth it for certain produce.(Still picking up my Oreos at Walmart though). Also, attached to the market is a cute little café that serves pretty good lunch — especially if you’re trying to eat healthy. As a side note, this place has incredibly cute carts. It’s kind of like krogers small carts, but instead of a cart, it’s more like a two basket carrier cart. Also, because the baskets are removable, you can split up between two people, do the shopping, and then come back to the cart with your separate baskets filled. This is probably weirdest review I’ve ever written but I am in absolute with these basket-carts! Also, I realize I’m not describing these carts well, so you should just go and see these carts for yourself. Also, a picture is definitely worth more than my non-eloquent words right now, so take a look at the picture.

Fresh Market is comparable to Whole Foods but a local version. I really hope they get business and stick around. I loved walking around here and everything they have looks delicious. I ordered a turkey sandwich from their hot foods section and it was delicious and fresh. The turkey was cut nice and thick and the spread on the sandwich was perfect. The service here is very attentive. everyone wants to help you and make sure you’re finding what you need.

Man, oh man this is the first time I have tried a green smoothie and I am a fan! The store was decent if a bit pricey. They had good quality foods and various choices.

Having shopped at Fresh Market in other cities, I was so excited to have this one open near my home. Going in there is an odd experience — more employees just standing around than shoppers; agree that it is expensive but has the potential to be so good. Wonder why it never advertises? Although not right on University, easily seen and should be busier. I have begun to be hesitant about buying prepared foods — how fresh can they be with so little traffic? Also, have bought a few fresh vegetables that were beyond their best sell dates. Hoping the Fresh Market folks ramp up advertising and try to make more of a splash — would hate to have this new addition fail.

I don’t understand the point of this market. It looks nice and fancy but the prices are way too high for the quality. Most of the items that I’ve compared are about 30−50% higher than CM. Some of the fresh items and the salad bar looked a bit dried up and crusted over. Perhaps people like the convenience if they live close by or want to avoid the crowd at CM. But the crowd is at CM for a reason, ya’ll. Although the bandana blueberry bread I bought was very moist and flavorful.

I’m thrilled there is another option beyond Central Market & Trader Joe’s(and even Whole Foods) in cowtown. This location is somewhere between the 3, but probably closer to the size of a Sprouts. Service here is personal and attentive and the crowdedness of TJ&CM has not hit those levels as of this post(light traffic is probably short lived). Beer, wine, meat, produce and all you desire out of this type of market(er, grocery store) is present. Though it is much pricier than a traditional grocer, I don’t really care — I’m there for good, natural food choices. The salad, olive, soup/sandwich bars make it a great location to eat lunch(inside the café, which also includes gelato, coffee & smoothies). — then shop. I’m on board thus far because I’m in and out quick, with all the advantages of the competition.

Stopped by to check out. Bought mini canolis. A surprise with chocolate inside. Very tasty! Will be back to shop! I agree it does look like a small whole foods. Had good looking ready to heat chicken/fish and shrimp.

This is like a mini-Whole Foods Market. It’s located off University BEHIND the Silver Fox Steakhouse. River Run is the road along side of the store and there is not street sign I could see for it. Inside is everything a foodie could want, including a salad bar, deli case, olive bar, seafood, flowers, etc, etc, etc. I would say the emphasis is more on prepared food you can eat there or take home but they have a lot of stuff for the cooks in the family, too.

This is a nice addition to the I30/University area. They are a mix between Trader Joes and Central Market. At first I felt that the food quality was a bit on low side for the prices. After shopping there a dozen times though, I think I just maybe made unlucky choices at first.(stay away from the wing bar… nasty). The shop is convenient when driving on University, and the parking lot is so much easier than Tom Thumb or Kroger. The staff are very helpful and friendly. This is a good place to stop by and get a bottle of wine, flowers or a prepared meal to take home. The things I have enjoyed the most from Fresh Market are their hamburgers, which are often on sale at 2 for $ 5, their wide selection of non-dairy and seaweed free creamers and milks, and their bakery items. Sadly the bakery items are not safe for our son who has a nut allergy(not sure why they can’t just clean the equipment thoroughly and claim«same equipment that is cleaned» but I’m sure it was some lawyer who made them word it overly cautious) but they do make some great treats. Their veggies are pretty good, however you do have to watch prices and shop the sale items.

Yay. I know we already have several specialty markets in Fort Worth and more on the way, but I’m excited about this one. I think I may be a partial since my new office is directly above this. Now I can come down for lunch breaks or to pick up things for dinner OTW home. They do a $ 7 bistro meal that includes an entrée and 2 sides from the deli case. The café also offers coffee, smoothies and gelato. They have different specials they run like 2.99 Tuesday where they discount various items. There’s also great weekend specials that run Friday as well as Saturday and Sunday. The prices for meat, dairy and produce are comparable to Central Market on some, but some sale items are worth it! Sign up for the weekly email list or just check FB. I can see this ending up a good lunch spot– there’s a ton of seating and the food is good.
