Had dinner for the third time here and as all the past times it was a very good experience. The food quality is great and they go out of their way with the presentation. Good service just needed refills on the drinks to happen faster. This is turning out to be one of our favorite restaurants in Fort Worth

I came here with high hopes, my sweet mother-in-law brought me on Memorial Day. I had the brisket tacos which left MUCH to be desired. My meal came with three tacos, rice, some weird salad thing and a cup of bean soup. I ate one and a half of the tacos and didnt touch the rest of it. Flavorless. We tried the caso as an app, it was basically Velveeta, the margarita was sub-par as was the service. Mother-in-law had enchiladas, she said they were«okay». I dont know about you all, dear Unilocalers, but when I pay big dinero for grub, I expect mucho mas…

My favorite thing to get here is the vegetable chile relleno! The margaritas are also pretty darn good. I’ve eaten here many times and it has been great every visit, whether it’s for a girls night out, a date with my husband, or with my husband and two kids.

Went to this place and have couple of beer with my colleague, the fajitas looks good and we wanted to give it a try, well. The menu price $ 16.00 with the fajitas but I got a check $ 28.00 for it … Confusing and asked the waitress she said because I got 2 people that why I have to pay for that price ??? Really ??? What if I got 3 people and you gonna charged for triple ??? Check your tab before you pay !!!

Rio Mambo has really made something of itself since we first discovered it in 2002. Clearly the owner is an artist and this restaurant is the owner’s great masterpiece, a constant and evolving work in progress, always more fun to temporarily occupy each year. The food is pretty great too. As a seafood fan, I like all the shrimp dishes, Rosie’s shrimp are a favorite, but the salmon in poblano cream and capers is really nice as well. I don’t love the seafood stuffed avocado, its a little too seafood-mayo-salad-from-a-tub for my pallet, but there are loads of great options. I don’t usually eat the beans and rice either, but the grilled veggies, Pappas and other side options are very good; I was even surprised by the sweet slaw that I finally tried after years of ignoring it, due to traumatic childhood memories of cabbage slaw that I just couldn’t seem to swallow… TMI, I know. This place has really good cheese enchiladas with great flavor. Their chips and salsa are sweet and not too spicy and the guacamole is fresh and creamy and doesn’t cheap out by loading up on onion filler, which I can’t stand. The fajitas, of any variety, have never disappointed. The kiddos love the brisket Tacos and potato side and my other never has trouble finding a veggie dish here. The staff, for the greater part, are attentive and well trained and take good care of you. If you have had a neglectful waiter, or one of those«ray of sunshine» type waiters, who clearly hates his life, experiences here, know that those people, exploring a career in service but failing, do not last long here and are not the norm., so give it another try. Also, the frozen adult beverages are awesome, strong enough to make you forget that last meeting at work and sweet enough to make you forget that you are drinking booze.

My fiancé and I came here for lunch one day and will not be returning. The fajitas were just okay and the service was awkward(the server didn’t seem new, she just seemed out of it).

It was so expensive for not that much. I went with my girlfriends for lunch and us all being bartenders could not find out at all why a large margarita would cost $ 22! Everything seemed fresh-ish but for the price I paid I expect a 5 star meal. I won’t be back unless for a dinner and even then I might try to go somewhere else.

This location is kind of not so great. The one in Weatherford is fantastic though! We had a horrible waitress. I seriously think she either hated the world or maybe she was just having a bad day. But wow, she was very short with her responses and wanted us to hurry up. I usually give restaurant staff leniency, I understand what it’s like to work in food — it sucks. But she was just plain rude. And other than that, our food wasn’t great. The queso is HORRIBLE. Like straight out of a can, just disgusting. And our main entrees were just okay. So although we more than likely won’t ever come back to this location, we’ll certainly visit the one in Weatherford if we’re in the area:) Awesome staff, food is always consistent and good!

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and I also really wanted to try it. I did enjoy the salsa and chips. The salsa was probably the best I’ve had. The fajitas on the other hand were not, and idk it’s hard to find good ones if they aren’t from on the border or pappisitos! They do however so happy hour for drinks at a really cheap price and for certain appetizers! Nothing too amazing so I definitely suggest sticking to your favorite Tex mex rather than coming here

Our party of eight went to Rio Mambo for the first time about three weeks ago. I must say, it was a delight, even with two small(very well mannered) children in our party. Our reservation was ready and the serve promptly cam to ask for our drink and appetizer order. The kids ordered the queso which was good and went well with the two hot sauce variations they offered; one red the other green. The margaritas were also hard to beat — unless you make them yourself. For the main course, I had the fish tacos(three) and my wife had a quesadilla. The tacos were exceptional and I had to actually bring one home. The quesadilla was hot and cheesy, just the way it should be. The service was friendly and patient(with the kids). The atmosphere was a bit loud, but that is to be expected in a place like this. We have now included Rio Mambo in our Mexican food genre and I’m sure we will return soon.

I’ve been here numerous times while in town for work and never had a bad meal or service. The margaritas are top notch and the salsa is very good. Do not come here if you are looking for a quiet evening, as it’s a fairly loud atmosphere.

I just want to say this place is very, very good. The salsa is the best in town as far as I am concerned. The fajitas are always good. The best part of this place is the service. Everyone is very friendly and caring. I am happy to see Ricardo back, always a joy. Diego is awesome too. You all are doing a great job.

This restaurant has the best food! I especially love their seafood quesadillas, they are to die for! Everyone is super friendly and Robert the manager is awesome. They do free appetizers(certain ones) during the week for happy hour so be sure to check that out. Who doesn’t love free food?! They also do fun things for special events happening like Cinco De Mayo, or sport events. They just dress the place up a little more so it’s pretty fun. We had my finance’s graduation party from college here a few years back and had the whole back of the restaurant just for us. I was able to set up the table centerpieces how I wanted and decorate with different stuff. We brought in a dj and they even made us a special menu for our guests. It was a great time! We even plan to have them cater our wedding this October. You cannot go wrong with this place!

Always get excellent service. My daughter orders vegan options, and we often have the same server. He remembers us and gets her order correct every time. Wish tea was less expensive. Menu has lots of choices and servings are big.

A one star review is to much for this place! Me and my wife heard it was one of the best mexican tex places in dfw – THATWAS A LIE. The food was worse then On the Boarder and the service was beyond bad! Very expensive and overpriced. Save yourself the time and don’t waste a minute thinking about eating here. We sat at the bar for over an hour while they sat other people to their seats! RUDE and OBNOXIOUS is the only words that can explain our very bad experiance with this place. We asked for a refund and the waiter laughed at us like it was a big joke! Do yourself a favor and don’t eat here!

I love this place, but everyone I have brought here has been disappointed. Not sure why though! I usually get the chille relleno with beef or fajitas. I love the Ken’s Healthy plate. Grilled chicken with vegetables in case you want a healthier meal! All are very tasty. Queso and salsa are good as well.

I got the Los Cabos Salad with grilled chicken to go and paid around 11.00 for it. It was not big enough, but that does not matter anyway, because it was a soggy mess. Its like they shredded all the lettuce, left it sitting in water and then stuck it in the fridge for a day and then served it. What little bacon there was was soggy. The chicken breast would have been Ok it if had not been dry on the inside and burned to a black crisp on the outside. The chips were not great, but I liked the Salsa. My waitress was very nice. I’m still not going back.

I’ve been to this location many times over the years but I’ve never eaten in the restaurant. Now the bar is another story. We like stopping by here for happy hour. As for the bar area it’s all well and good. The beer is cold and the margaritas are tangy. They have full bar service for anything you would like. The best part are the free appetizers that they keep bring out as long as you are there. You have the normal chips and salsa but they also bring out a bowl of queso and a plate with nachos and quesadillas. I don’t think we have ever had to ask for them to bring more. We normally have to tell them to stop. Even though the place is normally packed the service is always excellent. I hear their food is really good so I guess one day I need to find out but until then see you in the bar.
