RCJ Machado Jiu-jitsu

As a Martial Arts school owner myself, This place represents what a school should be like. Marcos is a Top notch instructor. Great family atmosphere. I pass over 10 schools and I travel over 30 minutes just to come to this school to learn and improve my jiu jitsu. It is well worth the drive.

Having trained in martial arts for nearly six years before, when I moved to the DFW area, it was a bit difficult finding a comprehensive school like the one that I had in Seattle. After asking around, different people tried to get me to join their school, but when I checked them out, they appeared very stereotypical, macho-​oriented, which turned me off. When I found out about this RCJ Machado location, I got excited. I came in and Hugo, the office manager, was really friendly and helpful. I came back a couple of days later with my gi and tried out a class. I signed up right after the class.
I previously trained with another Machado black belt, this place maintains the same high quality teaching and training as any other school run by a Machado black belt. Marcos is a great instructor who gives everyone equal amount of time. Unlike other places were instructors have favorite students, Marcos makes sure that he works with everyone, often going around doing drills individually with everyone in class to make sure that we all get it. But the instruction goes beyond Marcos and Hugo, as advanced students are helpful in working with new students as well. There are no egos here and everyone is willing to work with one another. This is simply a great place for anyone that is serious about training in jiu jitsu at a high level.

I can not say enough good things about Marcos Santos.
He was taught by the originators of the sport and some of the most talented BJJ practioners that exist. His passion and ability to teach BJJ are unmatched by any other instructor. I have trained with many high level teachers, and he is the best.
Oh, by the way, he is extraordinary with children and childrens classes. Dont walk, run to his academy.
